PO' Boy

“Good food, pleasant setting, good prices, but nothing to write home about. The day I went they had run out of hot sausage and other menu items so I settled for a roast beef poboy. It was okay. I'll try it again next time I'm in the neighborhood and see if my opinion changes.“

“Food is amazing, hot, fresh and timely. The service was great and very friendly. The building it self is almost hidden in visuals that it's a restaurant. It's interior is old and outdated but it gives cafeteria vibes. But the food makes you forget all those things.Parking: Gravel section to left of the building.“

“We visited Spuddy for his Cajun Cooking experience (personal cooking lesson). We made Andouille Sausage from scratch. We cooked Jambalaya, Gumbo and Smothered Okra. The food was amazing and the experience with Spuddy was unforgettable. This is a great thing do do when you visit the plantations.“

Kajun's Grill American •

“Stopped in on our way out of new Orleans and absolutely loved it. A cute little family owned hole in a wall place. Little disappointed there was no gumbo or seafood, but the food we got was definitely delicious. Kicking chicken definitely had a kick. And the red beans and rice was really good. Really reasonably priced as well.“

“We arrived and couldn't get either door open. We ended up having to wait until another patron came out in order to get in. Word of advice, pull hard. Once inside, we ordered the frickles, but, as another patron said, there were enough there for three or more people. They should offer a half order so as not to waste so many. We also ordered the red bean gumbo, which was excellent, and the grilled shrimp platter. The shrimp were in a blackened seasoning and were quite good. I know another patron said the shrimp could be locally sourced and therefore fresher, but I thought they tasted just fine with the seasoning. The hush puppies that came with my platter were awesome! I am not a hush puppy afficianado, by any means, but I am picky about them and I thought they were one of the best things on my plate and wish I had had a couple more. Our waitress was polite and checked on us often. She kept our drinks filled which is one of my husband's biggest basis for leaving a tip. Overall, I thought it was good for our first Louisiana Creole restaurant and would eat there again.“
