“We have been here many times, and not once have we been disappointed. The service is great! The food is good also. There are a variety of items available on the menu. This is one of my favorite places to go out and eat crawfish when it's in season.“
“Hitting on all cylinders at this location. Small dining area in comparison to some of their other locations. Even with a huge party, the wait staff, kitchen, and food was spot on! Everything come out super fast and was correct and flavorful! Most certainly consider it worth the drive.“
“Easily the best salmon I've ever eaten. the server (I can't remember his name but he was a history teacher primarily) was amazing and very engaging with us. he even had no problem going back and forth between the kitchen and our table to ensure my dairy-free girlfriend could still have something delicious. truly a restaurant worth returning to if you are in the area.“
“Delicious fresh food. We had the gumbo and potato salad and it was the bomb. It was full of chunks of chicken and sausage and the tater salad was greatIt's a family business and the people were super friendly. If you're craving a reasonably priced bowl of delicious after your Costco run, these guys are the ticket.“
“We were in town for vacation and ate lunch at this spot twice last week !! Such great food and customer service..The catfish and shrimp were outstanding! Ya gotta try the shrimp burger! Thanks for making it a great experience for us Texans…Can’t wait to come back!“
“Oh man, this is place is dangerous. Best seafood I've ever had, not just in Louisiana, but in my entire life. Freshness is one thing but that flavor cannot be beat. We went with our server's recommendations of the various daily specials and each entree knocked it out of the park. I genuinely cannot understand how something can be this good. A real gem in Baton Rouge. We contemplated coming back a second time during our very short trip because we feared nothing would live up to it- obviously untrue, such amazing food all around in the South - but an absolute must for anyone visiting the area.“
“Extremely rude workers. They delete comments if they don't like the review. We had a party of 10 and waited like they asked then they tried to seat us at a table for 6 people. Five people would be piled on top of each other on a booth. asked to add a table ( there were 3 empty tables right by us) they said no but we could wait an additional hour for a table. asked for manager and a girl comes out saying she is manager. No apologies no nothing. We did call ahead and were told no same day reservations but they had a big enough table to accommodate us. I have been reading reviews and there are a ton similar to our experience. It's starting to seem they do not want to accommodate large parties and try to make the experience so unbearable that they eventually leave. We ALWAYS tip over 25 percent even when service sucks. Their loss!!“
“This the BEST boudin I have ever had (and I've tasted it from all over the state). My favorite is the Shrimp & Pork, but the others are great too. I can only find it in the Cash's Truck Stop off 415 in Port Allen. They sell it in the hot food trays; BUT you can ask to buy a whole pack frozen. It's worth it!!!“
“Food was great! Started with my favorite appetizer here the fried pickles. As always, they were amazing! For my entree, I ordered the ragin' redfish which was a nice piece of blackened redfish on top of rice. I subbed out the broccoli that comes with this entree for the loaded mashed potatoes and chose the lemon butter as my fish topping. Fish was fresh and seasoned perfectly. Loaded mashed potatoes were good but the portion was small for the additional price you pay when switching out a side. Service at this location was fast and my waitress was nice. Giving this visit 4 stars instead of 5 since the restaurant could use some cleaning. The windowsill near my booth was very dusty.“
“Omg!!! I am so freakin happy my friend and I stumbled into this daiquiri bar. We came in just looking to get a daiquiri and something to eat after leaving the Rock the Country Festival this weekend. Let me tell you! Woo woo! My hamburger was the BEST burger I have ever eaten! I thought Raul's in Gonzales was probably my favorite but Top Notch says it all! I love the way their fries where cut and cut to perfection. Wish I'd known I could upgrade to the Top Notch Fries for $3 bc my bestie had those and we both can't wait to go back! The top notch fries were puuuurfect! Just the exact right amount of each ingredient. We definitely will be back! Just a question?? Is Top Notch Daquiris & Top Notch Seafood owned by the same people??? I think im addicted! Chill atmosphere, great food, and friendly service ! The bartender, stocky guy with the beard (didn't get his name), was great! Keeping us informed of how much longer our food would be and had a great suggestion for a substitution of a daiquiri they did not have. I actually liked it better!TOP NOTCH IS TOP!! No kidding!“
“The food was amazing. We enjoyed the Sunday brunch menu which included the French onion soup, fried oyster salad and for entrees we ate the New Orleans Crab Cake Benedict and Short Rib Benedict. The manger was so gracious as to give me a small bottle of champagne to take home since all the desserts were made with chocolate and I am allergic. We will definitely be back for the dinner menu. Fantastic table side service, beautiful ambiance and excellent master chef food.“
“The food was delicious ? we loved it, the portions size was very generous ??. The service very good the lady at the register was pretty nice and polite. The place looks pretty clean. We really loved the place and definitely we are coming back.Parking: Many spots no problem finding a spot.Wheelchair accessibility: This place is wheelchair accessible.“
“What a cool place...This was a great choice for dinner. It has really cool decor and a great environment. It is casual but upscale where you go there to watch sports, have a business meeting, or even a date. The service was off the hook awesome - Emily is a Rockstar waitress. The food was delicious. We had the gator bits as an appetizer. I had the catfish lebeaux, which was great. My friend had the delta queen and really enjoyed it. This is a great place to have a great meal.“
“I had to go to the ER today. All I thought about was how close Bergeron's is. We stopped in after I was sent home. Got six pepperjack boudin balls and six steak bites. I finished off one of each before we pulled in the driveway at home. The workers are super friendly and you could sell the aroma as an air freshener. Nothing better that I've found. ❤️❤️❤️❤️“
“Great Food and Great Atmosphere!! Had my daughter's LSU Graduation lunch here and Stacey, the general manager, could not have been more accommodating. Terrence, our server, was awesome!! Even though we had a party of twenty, he kept drinks filled, got our food to us in a timely manner, and always had a smile on his face! Thank you Southern Pearl!! Great Job!!“
“YUM!!! I ordered their hush puppies for an appetizer and they were so tasty, especially with their homemade tartar sauce! For my main dish, I got a fried shrimp po'boy. It was my first ever po'boy (I'm new to Louisiana and the gulf coast), and it rocked my world! The fries were good. The whole experience was just stellar!“
“C and G Seafood Deli305 S Burnside Ave, Gonzales, LA 70737I have been craving crawfish for over a year now. And I finally had a chance to satisfy my hunger for crawfish! It may be more expensive this season compared to last year due to the crawfish shortage, but it was very worth it, in my personal opinion. The awesome flavors and good quality make up for the price. They also have other goodies like crawfish pasta, fried fish, fried chicken, and so much more! In conclusion, this place is worthy!#Tonylameats #candgseafood #gonzalesla #crawfish #cajunfood #seafood #deli“
“Fresh seafood to make your own meals, great cooked seafood on weekdays only...try their fried catfish and shrimp platters. They have great boiled crawfish in season, as well as all the extras like boiled potatoes and mushrooms.Just go by there and see what they have. You can definitely find seafood for any kind of meal.“
“Just driving through pulled up the search for good Roast beef Po'boy, they also have a big selection of Chinese foods. I got a sm chicken fried rice, very good. The sandwich, eh, not as good as I remember them when I lived in Metairie. The juice was good. But the meat didn't have that deep roast beef being cooked down. I ate it, but looks like I'll have to make another trip on day.“
“Ate here this week. I had the Appetizer Trio: mozzarella sticks, rocket shrimp with a spicy aioli and crawfish beignets. It was delicious. I could not eat all of it. Friend had the Turkey and Bacon jam panini. Also very tasty. I had never had Bacon Jam. It could become a fave.“
“The crawfish and shrimp ? were boiled perfectly! The crawfish and shrimp were clean and so tasty, and the crawfish were fat and so perfectly seasoned just the right amount of everything ? The service was especially good and nice, everyone at this business cares about quality food at affordable prices and great service! I have my go to place now, thanks to all the kind people who work here. See ya'll soon!“
“Mason's has great burgers, local flavor, and wonderful "Bloody Mason's". Their Sunday Brunch is awesome, but crowded. Get there early!Update 3/26/24 - new owners are still doing a great job. Try the banging shrimp burger!“
“We went there for Valentine’s Day dinner, and it was surprisingly not busy at all! We had went there prior to that visit and was not that impressed but this time was totally different! I had the catfish Acadiana, and it was delicious and dessert was absolutely superb. Our waitress and I really wish I could remember. Her name was sweet and cute as a button.“
“Very nice people! Julie wanted jambalaya right when she woke up! We waited till they were open and I headed over. It's clean and bright! Walk up to the counter and order, not a big menu they have daily specials and I'm going on a Wednesday to try the hamburger steak! I had a nice conversation with the lady taking orders and my order came out fast! I tried the bread pudding and it's really good!! We will be back for sure!!!“
“A surprisingly good "fast food" experience. The fried shrimp and catfish are on par with way more expensive seafood restaurants. Service and pricing are very good. The roast beef debris poboy is excellent and the very Louisiana bread pudding bites are a sweet treat.“
“The Rouge Rabbit is a nice little hole in the wall over on United Plaza Blvd. I'm pretty sure it's very popular with all of the workers in the nearby office buildings! I had been meaning to go there based on seeing previous Yelp reviews and finally made it by.There's plenty of parking in the surface lots surrounding the eatery. The one I stopped at had a two hour limit, which is plenty for a meal. The place has outdoor seating as well as indoor seating. It also appears to have a busy take out business. The lunch menu is varied, with salads, wraps, sandwiches, and even more substantial offerings, including pizzas. There's also a breakfast menu that looked good, but I wasn't there at that time of day. There's also a range of coffee beverages for the caffeinated crowd.I had a Grilled Chicken Club that included Applewood Smoked Bacon and was on some great bread. One thing I really liked about the menu was one could order a selection of side items, including Cajun Potato Salad, chips, and my selection, Cajun Dirty Rice! One can make a combo with a side and a drink for a nice price. Now that I'm familiar with this hidden jem, I'll certainly go back when I'm in the area. I'm interested in their Po-Boys and the Applewood Smoked BLT!“
“Food was excellent and tasted great. Will be going back.Had the fish platter. Others had the fish and shrimp platter as well as the seafood pasta. Everyone enjoyed. Had the Mississippi Mud pie which was good. All 5 others said they would go back. Prices seemed fair. Appatesire of egg roles had very large portions.“
“Not restaurant quality ambiance but if you want your go to seafood boil this is the place. From pig feet, turkey necks (whole), shrimp with jalapeños, crab legs, crayfish and more! You choose your crab legs in the freezer then they cook them seasoned in about 12min.“
“This is my go to place for lunch when I want a really good chicken and sausage gumbo w/ potato salad. The gumbo is a thinner, broth like gumbo base, which I prefer. Not a thick gravy like broth you find with some gumbos. This gumbo is packed with big chunks of REAL chicken and tender smoked sausage. You get way more chicken than sausage. Kinda skimpy on the sausage. The potatoe salad is creamy, sweet and quite delicious. If gumbo isnt your thing...they have really great jambalaya and pastalaya (made with spaghetti pasta instead of rice) and weekday lunch specials!! Very budget friendly. If you Google them, make sure you Google the EXACT location you want to go to... specials differ sometimes depending on location. To make a really good seafood gumbo when you are crunched for time.... buy their big bucket (several sizes to choose from)....then just add sauteed shrimp, crawfish tails, lump crabmeat, okra, powdered shrimp, and file..voila! Seafood gumbo! Might wanna throw in some cleaned blue crabs or snow crabs too. Absolutely delicious and no one is the wiser! Dont forget to buy the potatoe salad!“
