“I ordered the kebab platter. The tahini sauce tasted better than any tahini sauce I have tasted. The Greek salad had very fresh lettuce considering it’s a Sunday night when most restaurants serve slightly wilted lettuce. The hamburger shaped kebabs topped with small sticks of pickles and very thinly sliced onions. When dipped it in the garlic sauce, it was delicious. Now that I think about it I wish I would’ve asked for a spoon so I could have gotten more good rice in my mouth. I wanted something light and filling, and I sure got it. I was totally satisfied when I left the place. It was very clean and appealing and the help was very friendly. When I leave Houston to come visit my sister, Shawarma on the Run will definitely be a stop for us.“
“Wow, just wow. Was in New-Orleans for 5 days and we missed healthy foods with veggies !! And OH MY GOD ! The hummus with the fried chicken is a farce !! I would have it every days of my life !!! We had falafel and khebab and it was over our expectation !! Went there because we saw it on Somebody Feed Phil’s Netflix series. Thank you so much !! Will be a reason to come back in New-Orleans ! Merci beaucoup !“
“The food at Saba was delicious, simple, and fresh! The humus and pita was definitely the star of the show. I could've eaten the blue crab hummus as a meal alone. The shrimp dish was good, but not as wonderful as the rest of the meal! The green falafel was definitely a favorite as well, even if it is simpler than some of the other options. There was slight disappointment in the chicken not being available, so be prepared for disappointment if going on a weekend or busy time as they may sell out! Service was great and the restaurant has wonderful charm to it! I recommend eating in the lounge if available when making your reservations!“
“Our first visit there and my only regret was not showing up with more hungry. The hummus and bread is delicious. I had the Almasgoof kebab and my wife had the lamb chops. Everything was delicious. The rice has a wonderful flavor of what tasted like cinnamon, saffron and maybe cumin.“
“Do you miss your favorite aunt and uncle? The ones who always have delicious food on the stove, time to listen to your celebrations and sorrows, and offer uplifting advice and encouragement over a cup of tea? From the moment I made reservations, I felt like a family member.Jamila's food was homey and comforting. The service was something I will remember for years to come. Everything at Jamila's is done with love. I can not recommend highly enough!Vegetarian options: Vegetarian couscous, several appetizers and dessertsDietary restrictions: I have multiple food restrictions, and each one was accommodated and respected(gf, df, alpha-gal)“
“So I have to say I went to eat here last night and I was here probably 2 weeks prior but last night wasn't quite as fresh as the first time I was there. I mean don't get me wrong, the food is still really good but I guess my expectations were a little higher because of my first experience... Nonetheless I would still recommend this place because the food is good and the service is great and they tend to be open a little later than a lot of other places so I'll definitely come back but just keep an eye on the quality of some things.Parking: Normally there is adequate parking but last night was really crowded and it was a little difficult to get a spot.“
“i usually eat here once a week. Relaxed environment. Waitresses are all very friendly amd helpful. Foodbis terrific. Love their dolmas with labneh, goat cheese with walnuts, ans especially their baked feta. The kufta is also amazing; I was told it is the owner's mother's own recipe. my only small gripe is that I have shown up a few times and they were either closed early or had a private event. Still, a great place and worth trying.“
“Perfect place for a party, get together or date night. The place has plenty of parking, fun atmosphere, has been decorated very tastefully and the food is incredible. Outstanding costumer service and cordial. So glad to have a diverse and unique venue in Metairie!“
“The Farmer’s Salad at Misa is one of my favorite restaurant salads in the city. It has actual vegetables (not just a bowl of lettuce) and it’s topped with a nice, herby vinaigrette. I also love their Sweet Potato Ravioli and spacious outdoor seating.“
“I've been to Hummus and More a few times and have enjoyed it each time. Tonight we had a larger group and we were celebrating a birthday. Service was great, thank you, Mabel. The owners sent out complimentary dessert for the group. A very kind gesture thank you.“
“I very much enjoyed my lunch at tazikis. I got a gyro and some chips and a drink. It was a little pricey for a quick lunch but it was super yummy and fresh and different from other options on Metairie Rd. The staff was very kind and accommodating. I will be back next time over this way.“
“Honestly my favorite place to eat. I always get the chicken Shwarma bowl. I love the Falafels so so so much! The stuffed grape leaves are so refreshing. Everything is good, I'd eat here every day if I could! My daughter can't get enough of the loaded fries as well, and I'm always sneaking some lol. That tatziki sauce is to die for. I wish I could buy it in a gallon lol“
“I'm from out of town and only wish I had found this place earlier. I received fast and very friendly service. It was fun to watch the locals roll in, order up and chat. The atmosphere was relaxing food, friendly neighborhood grocery mart vibe. The portions and quality of food were fantastic as well. I'll be back before I leave.“
“I'm a huge fan of gyros. This was the first time I have been to this location. They pros: quick service. I waited under 10 minutes for my plate. Large portions versus cost. They packed my plate and it wasn't just rice as filler. Cons: The taste was what you'd expect of gyro meat. I wasn't disappointed but I wasn't wow'd either. I would not recommend the spinach pie. It wasn't traditional. Decent taste but not the real thing.“
