“Amazing restaurant the asados and parrilladas were the most savory I’ve tasted in the New Orleans area. The staff is friendly and very accommodating.they will go out there way with even the smallest detail.the best part is the owner will personally come greet you and check up on you and see how everything is super friendly guy. Will definitely be telling all my friends and family about this place. It need to be well known!“
“We had ropa vieja and con gris - excellent the platanitos were perfect. The place looks like a hole in the wall but the food is amazing. Don't be deceived this restaurant is very good and well priced. The people working in the restaurant make you feel like you are in your Nicaraguan grandmother's. I'm not Nicaraguan but if I were this would be my grandparents house. Loved the experience.“
“WOW! Is what I have to say after dining here for dinner this past weekend. It has been a long time since I've dined at a steakhouse locally and actually enjoyed every part of the dinner! For starters the ambiance was perfect for my partner and I's birthday/dinner date. Our waiter (can't remember his name) was very attentive and helped us pick great menu options. The bread service was good and just what we were looking for. Our steaks were both perfect along with the crispy potatoes as a side which were definitively REAL crispy potatoes, fried to perfection! On the house they gave us a birthday dessert - Tres Leches which was yummy! I would definitely be back to explore more of the menu.“
“TAKE OUT.. extremely friendly and competent; their offerings seem to have a different flavor then all the other restaurants would seem to be from the same cookbook. It's easily accessible from just about anywhere in the Metairie area and if you call ahead and give them enough time you will not have to wait very long.“
“This place isn’t a main stream restaurant but instead a nice clean hole in the wall, and we all know mom and pop hole in the walls know how to THROW DOWN!! The food was absolutely amazing!! Everything was fresh and the meat was tinder: if you order an appetizer that’ll be all you need because they’re just as big as the entrees!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!“
“Absolutely AMAZING new Honduran restaurant! We went at the recommendation of our daughter and her friend, and we were completely caught off guard when we walked in. The restaurant is airy, spotlessly clean, and the staff is really friendly. I had the Pollo Frito Costeno and my wife had Burritas; every bite of each dish put a big smile on our faces. We ate, laughed, and stayed a while after just relishing the atmosphere. 5 stars, 4 thumbs up, and we agree that this has now been added to our rotation of regular stops.“
“Delicious food in this place. It is one of my favorite places for Honduran food. I recommend the chicken with slices (which is my favorite), the beef Milanese dish and the roast beef. I also recommend the breakfasts, everything I have ordered at this restaurant I have always loved.“
“This is my new favourite restaurant in New Orleans. Me and my girlfriends grabbed to go and had picnic by the bayou and we were amazed by the food. You must get the pupusa sandwich with plantains. It was incredible!! Highly reccommend this “
“A rich experience for your palate. A very cozy restaurant with excellent atmosphere and good parking. A varied menu with competitive prices is a very good option. Their fast and orderly service. We thank Celia for guiding us to a tasty dining experience.“
“Latin American food at its best! Interesting menu and big portions with home cooked flavors. Don't miss the wonderful hand crafted cocktails made with care by the owner himself. So yummy! The wait staff were friendly and attentive. We enjoyed a leisurely dinner.“
“I don’t know where to start but maybe with the meticulous approach to everything from prep to plating. Every dish was immaculate. The vibe was blessedly chill. Our server Catherine (who I sensed handles greater responsibilities) was cordial and informative, including her wine selections. We went with classics tonight: ceviche, mofongo, arepas, ropa vieja, and everything was perfect. I love this place so much.“
“I really wanted to hate this place. Another hipster gentrifying the neighborhood with their pseudo-ethnic cuisine. This rich boy, Banksy buying, carpet bagger…. I so very much wanted to hate it. But I couldn’t. It was just too good. The food was delicious. The prices were just right. The authentic tile work and gas station bathroom were absolutely delightful. The servers were raw and righteous. The way the owner spoke…. The little frogs…. The whole vibe just felt right. I couldn’t hate it. I loved it.“
“The food here is unmatched, truly a gem. Service is always great as well. I normally get the Central American breakfast, which is great if you don't know what you want. Bring cash and it's worth the special trip. I've been eating here for 10+ years and it is always great.“
“Every so often in life, you run across people who are doing exactly what they're supposed to be doing. These people were meant to make the best food possible, with excellent sourcing of ingredients, and the most kind and welcoming service. If you are by the airport in New Orleans, why suffer anything less? It's a 12 hr drive from my house, and I am considering the trip.“
“This place is absolutely amazing!! We got several empanadas to try. Such a cool find. The staff was friendly and it had a cool New Orleans vibe but different. You can sit and enjoy the views of magazine street and the spinach and artichoke empanadas will make you lick the plate. Hands down awesome“
“This is my favorite restaurant. Staff is kind. I order to go from here all the time. It's always ready when the staff says it will be. I think they have the best burritos and pupusas in town, certainly on the West Bank. The fajitas are incredible and fairly portioned for the price. My daughter loves their quesadillas. Took my brothers here when they came into town too, they loved it as well.“
“This is a vary small place with great food. The employees are vary friendly. The food is made fresh every day. The Taco Nicaraguans corn tortilla with beef an vary spicy is great.. 3 for $7.80'. Try the Yucca , Spanish pastries stuffed with ground beef is wonderful only $9.00 . And the Flan is great. YouMust go there it has the best food an not pricey.“
“Amazing salad!! I grabbed a Brussels sprouts salad for lunch pickup after lots of delicious but very heavy meals in NOLA. It was packed full of veggies, with loads of sprouts, plus avocado, almonds, and cheese. Great dressing too! I got the pork as an additional protein, which was really good, but I wished I had ordered the chicken after seeing it in a neighbor's taco while I waited for my meal. Also, what a cool looking restaurant! And the service was wonderful, even for takeout. They set me up at the bar some water while I waited.“
“What a gem! Great authentic Honduran food. Very good service and fair prices. We tried a cross section of the menu and everything was excellent. I personally like some spice but with flavor, not just heat. This was exactly what I was looking for. Excellent.“
“I've had a bad experience trying Honduran food before, but this certainly changed my mind. The environment is super friendly, super clean, and the staff are very kind. The Mexican tacos are a must and quite frankly, the only tacos that I've liked in the Metairie and Kenner area.I definitely recommend! I'm definitely coming back to try more.“
“The owners and the girls who serve you there always have a smile on their faces, they understand very well the concept of friendliness and good service...with the food so that, everything I've eaten there I love: fajitas de chicken, flour cakes, shot with everything, chicken with slices, without forgetting to mention that my husband says that all the soups are very good... congratulations Sabores de Mi H ....10/10 ?“
“This is such a great place. Everyone should check it out!! The food is absolutely amazing. You can't go wrong with anything you order! We all had the crepes for breakfast. I really loved the banana crepes the most. My son had the egg & havarti crepe, which was phenomenal & also came with a small salad with the most amazing dressing. The only thing I didn't love was the coffee. The server seemed unsure about it, and it was lukewarm & overly bitter. I also asked for some oat milk, of which she brought less than a teaspoon in a little cup, which wasn't quite enough even for my small cup of coffee. I didn't notice the coffee station in the room until later, or I would have walked over to see what the options there were. Even so, one bad cup of coffee wasn't enough to overshadow how wonderful the rest of our meal was!I would definitely go here again!Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian items!Dietary restrictions: Lots of GF, including crepes & cheese bread!“
“Nice place to dance, the DJ mixes a great variety of genres and keeps the ambient lively. The only thing I would suggest to keep in mind is the entrance charge (cover) I would understand if they had a live band or something that would merit the charge. They serve beer buckets which is good for those that enjoy beer. They also have a pretty descent variety.I would give this place a 3.5 stars ? ? ?“
“I went at lunch and got the 4/ $10 carne asada tacos and a coffee. The staff is very sweet, and didn't charge me for my coffee since there was some confusion about flavors on the menu. This is the only place I can think of with real street style tacos that are NOT dripping with grease. Very fresh and light.“
“Spicy chicken sandwich was very delicious. First commercial chicken sandwich I've had that seemed natural, not processed. Very flavorful! 10 minutes to cook tells me ots the real deal. Mac and Cheese looked ordinary, but was really delicious. The mango juice drink was so refreshing! I'll definitely be back again!“
“If you go here you must speak Spanish! The lady working the front area has a very limited English vocabulary. I ordered ? tacos and what I got was flour tortillas with cut up meat as they did not have ground meat. The meat had a lot of grissel which I do not eat. The lady never checked to see if all was good or wanted something else.“
“My Little Honduras is a gem of a place with exceptional cleanliness that makes you feel immediately comfortable. The service is warm and attentive, ensuring a delightful dining experience. Each dish is an explosion of authentic flavors, truly capturing the essence of Honduran cuisine. It's not just a meal; It is a culinary journey that leaves you wanting to return.“
“The food is delicious, I like the seafood soup which is divine. The only thing is that the owner should have a sign that says that whoever wants to pay with a card will be charged 4%, but he doesn't have it and his solution is that it is a privilege to use the card and that is why we have to pay, the You do not want to pay your percentage but the client is the one who pays it, communications is the key to a good business, transparency. It is my opinion.“
“Incredible food, but the prices are high, and also higher than posted on their menu, about double. It cost as much to go to Addis across the street, so be ready for full service dining prices. The food is incredible though, if I could get a plate and a juice for around 20$ I'd eat there every day, but you're looking at 30-40$ for lunch.“
“Cute and clean place with great atmosphere! We ordered pupusas, plato paisa, dessert and drinks. We left only empty plates there. Everything was delicious. Pupusas with the warm sauce-amazing! Grilled meats and shrimp-perfect, thick and tasty flan, refreshing rice water! Thank you for all.P.S. This place has All day menu and pictures of the food in the menu - this is very helpful.“
