We took the St Charles streetcar from our hotel in the French Quarter and got off a short walk from this delicious, unpretentious restaurant for a 1 pm midweek lunch in late April. There were only about 8 tables with people so we felt we had the place to ourselves. I always pass this place and never realized how expansive it is inside; thought it was a little counter in the rear of the restaurant. Was surprised by the fancy interior with polished wood floors and decorative lighting. The service was amazing and extremely attentive. The frozen coffee machine was down so our server offered us alternatives that were on point: the cappuccino and iced praline latte were good. We found NOCB by chance after walking through the French Quarter looking for beignets. Everywhere we looked was closed. After making it back to where we were staying, we looked to Yelp for help. We made our way over to NOCB and had some excellent lattes and beignets! The atmosphere was inviting and friendly staff made our visit even more enjoyable. We'll definitely be back next time we're in New Orleans!
