Alma Cafe is a restaurant known for its delicious food and friendly staff. Customers often mention that the food here tastes and feels healthier and better than other places in town. Highlights include the fried soft-shell crab over purple corn grits and the shrimp fra diavolo, which are praised for their perfect seasoning and taste. The cafe has a light and clean design, with sitting by the window being a pleasant experience. Many visitors enjoy the coffee and consider the atmosphere enjoyable for breakfast or lunch. The place is small and intimate, and the service is good. Some dishes, like the Burgos rancheros, are highly praised for their fresh and exciting flavors, crispy tortillas, and perfect eggs. The decor is pleasant and pretty, making it a cozy spot to visit. The passion fruit juice and pomegranate mimosa are also favorites among customers. However, there are concerns about pricing, as some feel certain dishes are small and expensive, with additional charges for modifications. Service charges, credit card fees, and mandatory tips have been mentioned as factors affecting the overall experience. Despite these issues, Alma Cafe remains a popular spot for good food and a welcoming environment.

Amazing Honduran food, the baleadas are exquisite, soft and tasty, frijoles the way our mother's used to cook them. Melissa, found a great modern way to elevate Honduran food!

Soft shell crab eggs Benedict was scrumptious!!

holy smokes the food and cocktails were off the chain! This is the best food we've had while visiting New Orleans so far. If you want tasty, home style cooking that tastes like high quality cuisine without paying a heavy price for it, this is the place. Try all the things. Your taste buds and tummy will thank you.
