“My travel partner and I stay in Baton Rouge for work and drive all the way over here for breakfast weekly. The food is like grandma cooked you a Sunday breakfast, every morning! The staff and owner are always so happy and welcoming! If you’re ever in the Baton Rouge area take a moment and drive over and grab some great food! You won’t regret it! 10 stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“Love to eat here. I'm definitely a regular. Many stop here for lunch and throughout the day. The crawfish bits are great. The chicken stew is a favorite. Fried fish and potato salad. The twice baked potatoes is a great meal. The honey jalapeño. wings are great. Seafood is great. I often use the catering services as well.“
“Bridgette was our server and she did an amazing job! As someone who comes from food service management, I pay attention to a lot of the aspects of a visit and she hit over the mark on every one. She was attentive, her spirits were high, her enthusiasm was apparent, and her follow-up was consistent. She always met our needs before we got the chance to ask and made sure we were comfortable and satisfied the entire time. She really laid the foundation for a supreme experience and I will definitely come back because of her. As a customer, being accompanied by someone who cares the way she did for us was a tether that will keep me coming back. Please continue hiring staff like Bridgette. To Bridgette: thank you for being an example and for leading with exceptional service. You were a joy to interact with and your humor was much appreciated. I pray that this life serves you well as you have served us well. Thank you, thank you, thank you!-the girl with the blue jacket“
“Eliza, our server was amazing! The whole experience was so good. She went above and beyond to make us feel taken care of. And we had two babies with us which isn’t always the easiest. The food was so great too and the drinks as well. The atmosphere is so cute! We will for sure be “
“Easily the best salmon I've ever eaten. the server (I can't remember his name but he was a history teacher primarily) was amazing and very engaging with us. he even had no problem going back and forth between the kitchen and our table to ensure my dairy-free girlfriend could still have something delicious. truly a restaurant worth returning to if you are in the area.“
“Great food, great service, great value. Gluten free menu was excellent. I had the lemon blueberry pancakes and the hubby got an omelette from the regular menu. Portions are large. Chloe, our waitress was very attentive but not intrusive. She provided a great experience. I would highly recommend.“
“I 110% recommend BLDG5! Brayden was our server on a busy Friday night & was absolutely excellent! He was great with giving us different suggestions off the menu and made sure we were satisfied with everything! The atmosphere was great & meal was even better. Can’t wait to come back!“
“The service was excellent! Super attentive wait staff. Cocktails were good but pretty pricey for what you receive. I’d probably stick to wine next time. Cool upscale vibe, the food was delicious. I didn’t love the grilled cheese dumplings, I thought the tomato soup was sweet but that’s definitely a personal preference! The sea bass was really amazing though, I’d go back and eat it in a minute!“
“I haven't been to The Chimes since I was working in Baton Rouge years ago. Today I had lunch with my daughter and granddaughter who is now a student at LSU. The place is just as good as I remember! Great food, great service, and a nice casual atmosphere. I had the Pork Scallopini - outstanding! Crispy fried, thin cut pork and rich linguini alfredo. The blue cheese dressing for the salad must have been made locally and had a wonderful flavor. A little bread was crispy on the outside and delicious.White chocolate bread pudding with pecans on top were a great finish to this wonderful meal.I apologize that my meal in the photo was half eaten. I dove right in before my brain kicked in.“
“A very nice restaurant. The service was absolutely phenomenal I'm not joking either They went out of their way to make us comfortable.Wheelchair accessibility: This is why I say they went out of their way to make us comfortable. One of our members of the group has a electric wheelchair. They're pretty good size and weigh about 300 lb. He had no trouble getting in.“
“The food was amazing. We enjoyed the Sunday brunch menu which included the French onion soup, fried oyster salad and for entrees we ate the New Orleans Crab Cake Benedict and Short Rib Benedict. The manger was so gracious as to give me a small bottle of champagne to take home since all the desserts were made with chocolate and I am allergic. We will definitely be back for the dinner menu. Fantastic table side service, beautiful ambiance and excellent master chef food.“
“I went too long not trying this place. Simple concept, very casual, but excellent at what they do. The Philly cheesesteaks are amazing! Be prepared to wait a bit during the lunch rush, but hey, just a good sign it's well loved because people line up every day to get it! I'd recommend the Cajun cheesesteak and if you're avoidant of spicy things like me get it without the jalapeños and light on the chipotle mayo. Flavor is so good and always fresh!“
“What a cool place...This was a great choice for dinner. It has really cool decor and a great environment. It is casual but upscale where you go there to watch sports, have a business meeting, or even a date. The service was off the hook awesome - Emily is a Rockstar waitress. The food was delicious. We had the gator bits as an appetizer. I had the catfish lebeaux, which was great. My friend had the delta queen and really enjoyed it. This is a great place to have a great meal.“
“So, I'm not explicitly saying I am a bbq snob, but unless I'm home (Texas), KC, or Carolina, I typically won't even try a place. However, I was with a group of locals that was sure their place could change my mind. Spoiler alert...it didn't. With that said, there were definitely some good points. First off, you could smell the smokers when you were in the parking lot, so great start. We showed up at the tail end of lunch and there were a lot of people seated. It took about 30 minutes to get seated, but it was a large crowd. I have no issues with the wait. I ordered a two meat plate with burnt ends, brisket, Mac and cheese and fries. Overall, I'm disappointed to say the Mac and cheese was the best. And it WAS really good. The burnt ends were way to dry for the most part. There were a couple of bites that were delightful, but for the most part all the fat had been rendered and they were just dry little nuggets. The brisket was ok. Also a little too dry and sliced thinner than I'm used to. It did have a decent smoke ring though! Our server was excellent. Kept checking on us and made sure drinks were filled. No issues there whatsoever. Would I come here as a destination meal? Not likely. But again, I live in what I consider the brisket capitol of the country, so keep that in mind. There were definitely some good bites, just not every bite. I give it a non bbq state 4 stars. “
“Wings n sides have become one of my favorite places to go now in Addis. The food is always hot and fresh! I enjoy everything there, nothings a miss! And not to mention… the prices are GREAT ;)Parking: Parking is not a problemKid-friendliness: Lots of room for kids to be kidsWheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessibility is also available“
“Went for late night drinks on a slower Sunday. We had the place to ourselves for the most part. The barkeep was attentive, yet allowed us our privacy to enjoy each other's conversation and company. Great service and good drinks. An enjoyable late night.“
“We've been to this location more than once since they've moved from their previous location. Everything has been excellent! The service has been great, our waitress Ms. Amya was wonderful & pleasure. No complaints about the food, it has been great! From the duck empanadas to the seafood menu you can't go wrong. Definitely won't be the last time we visit.“
“We ate there and all of us ordered either Brisket or Baby Back Ribs with 2 sides. All was very good. cook just right and the sides were baked beans (great) and Waffle FF (great), also the Mac/Cheese was good also . They offer a variety of cooked meats and sides along with sandwiches. We are going to go back soon. By the way there were a bunch (100 or so) cars in the parking lot, which is very large and a bunch of space to sit down and enjoy our meal. All the plates ordered came out fast and everything was hot & cooked perfectly. The Beach Volleyball was going on strong.“
“Love this Walk On's location. This location is better than the one located down corporate in town center. We had a very nice waitress, I don't remember her name but she had blonde curly hair. She was super sweet and made our experience great. We went on college night which was super packed and busy but our burger came out in a reasonable amount of time. College night is a great deal. The scholarship burger is only $5 and comes with fries and toppings. The burger was a little pink in the middle but is understandable with how many burgers they were probably cooking that afternoon. Loved that our waitress kept checking up on us and making sure we didn't need anything else.“
“When I entered the cafe I was greeted by a kind young lady. The television was on. The music was low. I loved the wall where people signed that they were there ( pretty neat). I sat at the bar to scan the menu. I ordered two large shrimp plates. I had to order a small fry on the side due to not being able to switch out the potato salad. Everything was hot and fresh. The shrimps were delicious. The fries were good. I'm not a potato salad girl, so it was okay to me. I can see myself returning to try out other items on the menu.Parking: Maybe three vehicles can park in front of the building. If full, you'll have to park along the street.“
“Service is great. Food comes quick. Motzerella sticks way overcooked and nearly black on exterior. Menu has changed (somewhat disappointed) and prices have gone up noticeably. Lots of TVs to watch sports but bar is usually crowded with regulars. Overall good place and food consistently ok.“
“This is gotta be one of the best restaurants ive ever been to in my life. The waiter was real nice and layed back. The way we were greeted and seated was nice. The menu selection has various options. I started off with a cup of chicken and sausage gumbo. I also got a steak and it was really good. I like how the waiter brings the knifes in a box and lets the diner select. Everything was professional and great. I would love to come back one day in the future.“
“My Daughter attends LSU and she absolutely loves this place, every single time I visit her,,this place is on our list to eat here, i live 4 hours away and I enjoy it every single time. the workers are very friendly, nice, courteous, I will be there on Nov 17th to pick my daughter up for school, and we can't wait!!“
“I had not been inside since they eliminated smoking, and wow, what a game changer! Lots of TVs to catch the games and they'll put whatever you want to watch on. Cold beer on tap, several daiquiris, frozen margs, and my fave - the frozen crown and coke. Service with a smile. All great prices. I remember going to dollar burger night in the past, and it was always tasty. It's our beloved crawfish season again, and they waited until the price came down a little and the crawfish got a little bigger to finally have them on sale. Prices were reasonable this weekend for the pound, platter, or bucket. They are seasoned so well, not overly spicy (confirmed by our spice sensitive friend), but still had a nice kick (maybe if you're not from here, it is too much), but it was super tasty. The platter was just enough to fill me up! Who's ready to hit it up again next weekend?“
“Jazz night every Friday!Multiple Televisions with sports!!Food is amazing!!!Hotels have restaurants, but the Sports Zone at the Holiday Inn has two of the best Bartenders in Baton Rouge. This is not your normal restaurant/bar.I picked this place over the local restaurants throughout Baton Rouge. This review will be updated.“
“Attended a Happy hour so drinks and finger foods. The shrimp jalapeno poppers were excellent. The bacon wrapped quail balso excellent. Whiskey sour hit the spot. Only concern was the temperature was a little toasty and our group became very loud. I was concerned we may disturb others enjoying their meal.“
“Ordered my food to go. Glad I did restaurant was packed. Food was delicious. Can't wait to try other meals. Had Sugar Cane Shrimp, Boudin Eggs Rolls, Two step basket as well as the bread pudding ? omg. Magnificent even without the white chocolate sauce.“
“Our first time in here. They had a DJ playing music obnoxiously loud I don't normally complain about loud but I couldn't hear myself think, honestly I was getting a little nauseous. Julie had red beans and rice and I had a big ole burger. Food is really really good. There is a bar and a bunch of people having fun. There's tables outside but a bunch of smoker out there so that's not an option for me. All that aside they have pool tables and arcade games great big TVs and that DJ. If you want a rowdy good time this is great!! There's plenty parking it's clean and the staff is rocking the joint!!“
“The customer service was good even with a packed house. Several tables were dirty, but when time allowed, they did clean them up. The waitress was very polite & helpful. Now, the food, on the other hand, wasn't seasoned well. The buns were bigger than the patty & the Buns overpower the taste of the burger & not in a good way. Upon leaving, I noticed several plates that were left on tables with pieces of the bun (so I felt I wasn't alone). Also, the fries pictured were supposed to be a large fry, which I felt wasn't. For the total on the ticket, it could have been worth the $42.00.Parking: Parking is available directly in front of the restaurant.“
“Visted this spot with a friend for lunch today. Having never been, I entered through the patio. : / Tip: the entrance faces the store Free People. We walked in around 1pm. They weren't busy at all. It took about 5 minutes before our server came out w waters. I ordered the blackberry lemon drop (based on the reviews) and while it was very good, it wasn't $12 good. Maybe if served in a larger glass. I'm not a drinker so maybe that's why I expected more. My friend and I ordered the burger and just get it! It was one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. I upgraded my fies to parmesan, and it was worth it. They're served with garlic aoili and very good! My friend had regular and they were good too. We enjoyed he beautiful weather and the opportunity to catch up without distractions. I'm sure it's a very nice place to meet with friends after dark for drinks and small plates. I'll have to go back for that experience.“
“So the first time we went about 9:00 it was so packed we couldn't get in so we made our trip to where we was going and we came back about 11:30 ish and we was able to sit down the family enjoyed their food our server is really nice I believe his name was Chris he was very attentive he checked on us multiple times and we appreciate that“
“Uncle Earl's has transformed itself from the loud, college crazed, packed pick up bar of the 2000s, and has grown into a mature destination for young professionals. I had not been in some time, my last few experiences were filled with drunk kids at the bar and I figured it was a place I was too old for. But recently, I went in after work to meet with some friends, and the place certainly had a glow-up. They have a decent wine selection, and the cocktails were on point. The bar is clean and I like the different levels. The lushly decorated outdoor area is comfortable and a nice way to relax and enjoy conversation. And everyone who worked there was helpful and engaging. We also attended a Galentines Day event recently, and that was a great way to expose new people and those who had been away to the location. Delicious catering items were spread throughout the space. While I likely will avoid any large scale events there, it is nice option for grabbing a drink after work or attending a special event. Of course a note about parking.... because the area is separated by a fence, it is a little dicey. You can park in the lot on the other side of the fence and walk around, or you can drive to the back behind the building. Please be aware of your surroundings if doing so as it is pretty remote back there.“
“The lady with the glasses that makes the deserts is an absolute queen I love her. Her deserts are on point every dang time. She is literally mother. Shes so sweet and kind hearted, I wish her nothing but the best. Give that woman a raise !!“
“Great food! Clean environment. Run by locals who know how food is supposed to be done! L&R Deli is a hidden gem in the middle of Addis! It has easy access from LA Hwy 1. In the summer the have a snowball stand that has a covered area to rest a bit and cool off with a massive amount of flavored!“
“Whole Foods is the BEST place for groceries in Baton Rouge! I used to live close and stopped in every other day. It was clean, welcoming, excellent customer service, with everything I needed, and more! I now live about 45 minutes away, but stop in when I am in the area. Was there on Memorial Day. It was, of course, clean and even smelled nice. The store associates were welcoming and helpful, a few even stopped to ask if we needed help. Checked out all the ready food areas, and decided on smoked brisket, Whole Foods makes the BEST smoked brisket! We got a brisket sandwich and a brisket and sausage platter with cole slaw. Delicious! Got an extra smoked chicken to take home, also delicious. Took home other favorites, like blueberry scones, olives, cheese, brownies, and more. Thank you, Whole Foods for again exceeding our expectations!“
“We had a birthday party there. The food was amazing! The service was amazing! The decor was lovely & inviting. I miss coming here but unfortunately I moved an hour away. Omg.... well everytime I come to visit mother in law I'll stop by here. Thanks guys!!“
“Friday, April 5th, was my first time getting food from Ja' El's. I LOVED it! We had BBQ ribs, BBQ chicken, green beans, dirty rice, macaroni, and cheese. This food had sooooooo much flavor! The ribs were tender ! I just loved everything about this place. The staff was nice and I can't wait to go back.“
