There were people from all over the country (FL, TX, MD, DC- and they weren't together)in line that came to visit and try their food. The catfish was flaky with crispy flavorful batter - and I don't even like catfish... let me say that! The portion sizes were amazing, and so was the customer service. They have Anointed Confections inside the store that sell the most delicious cakes, cupcakes, and pound cakes(not sure about pie) but dem cakes...look baby! Moist, flavorful, and not overly sweet. “Long day of fishing out of Sweet Water Marina (Da Crow). Decided to take a recommendation from YouTube personality Outside the Levees and eat Lunch at Dat Kitchen. We walked in and were greeted by Chef Medah with a smile. She gave us a run down of the special and that’s what we got. A seafood stuffed potato with fried catfish fillet topper. “I drove around this place a few days ago and decided to stop today. I wish I would've taken a photo but the food was so hot and fresh I couldn't help but to dig in. At first, I was on the fence about the sauce not being tossed on the tenders however once I got out of that mindset, I was very pleased and preferred that the sauce was on the side. The tenders were so crunchy, juicy, and fresh, the fries were seasoned perfectly, crispy, and hot. To my surprise they have crushed ice similar to sonic ice but not as big. The hamburger was seasoned to perfection and the fries are just the right crinkle fries. Not too soft and not hard. The employees were very nice and got my order out quick. “Great place to watch a game! It's a neighborhood bar, so if you are trying to watch a sporting event without the crowd but with good food, this is the place! The also have a pool table. I noticed a back patio area that looks like it could be plenty of space for a large group. It's all street parking, so it can sometimes be hard to get a spot. As for the food, it's what you expect of bar. The onion rings were good, but I would have preferred them to be a bit crispier. The wrap was actually very good and actually well stuffed with chicken, lettuce, and tomatoes. I also added jalapeños for a little kick.“
“My initial reaction was "Are you kidding me?" 6 fried catfish fillets, 3/4ths of the take-out container was crawfish fried rice. There was a packet of seasoning which I didn't use. The food was cooked to PERFECTION, properly seasoned, and was delivered so hot and fresh I had to let it cool down for a few minutes before I could dig in. These folks DEFINITELY know what they're doing and how to properly prepare food. Can't say enough about them ..... their food puts some high-end restaurants to shame!!!!!“
