“This used to be our quintessential lunch spot when in New Orleans. I grew up here and so always bring guests here when they are in town. All the meals were not very good. The catfish plate was abysmal with thin stringy pieces of catfish. All around very disappointing and an embarrassment to the cuisine and culture of New Orleans. The worse part is we only had a few opportunities for meals in New Orleans and we wasted one here.“

“The owners were there every time I went. Very friendly atmosphere where I could tell it was full of regular customers. Their open Monday through Fri from 10 to 2. Great local place to have local food. I've eaten in the restaurant and had take out. On Friday they have a seafood platter with shrimp creole. The shrimp creole is great.“

“BBQ was on point. Pork ribs were tender to falling off the bone with a good bark. Bright, tangy cole slaw, really sweet bread and butter pickles. Our order taker was friendly and very helpful in plotting out our order (we also had pulled pork, beef brisket, potato salad and mac and cheese).Dining area was roomy and comfy enough to get down to business; where we sat in the enclosed patio, it was a tad smoky, which is to be expected I guess. Will probably go back this week for another slice of that peanut butter pie!“
