“This was a fun and cozy restaurant to enjoy lunch with family. Delicious meal options and friendly wait staff. I'll be back for sure!Parking: There is plenty of parking in a long parking lot that spans past both ends of the building.Wheelchair accessibility: Elevator available.“
“Visiting Lake Charles for the day and stopped by Luna's for dinner! Cute place with space themed stuff and posters everywhere. I had the Pearl Jam to drink which was by far one of the more delicious drinks I've had at a restaurant. To eat we had the crawfish bread, steak with crabmeat, chicken Ella, and Fire of Pluto sandwich. Everyone was pleased with their meals! Our waiter was super nice and seemed to enjoy his job which always rubs off well for a new customer. If I were ever passing back through LC I'd come back!“
“This is a small homey, hole in the wall business. The ambience is very casual and mostly locals. There is limited outdoor seating if interested. The service at first wasn't too great but only because it was very busy when we arrived and it seemed everyone working here had attitudes. The restroom was in horrible condition with no soap, paper all over the floor and just nasty. Our waitress finally changed her demeanor and it ended up being great. We weren't rushed at all after things calmed down and I did understand that they were very busy and it's a small place but that's job security. They were shorthanded and are hiring if interested. The gumbo here is absolutely amazing with lots of fresh chicken meat and sausage. I only ordered a cup because I was afraid I would not eat it all. I also ordered the small breakfast. I am one to always have leftovers to go but not here this time. I ate everything except half of the biscuit and half a slice of bacon. Everything tasted so fresh and good. Kudos to the cook. Loved it and will definitely recommend and return again when in the area or passing through. Wonderful!“
“Great soulfood spot. The white beans and sausage were sooooo good! We were from out of town and some family recommended it. We were so pleased! My mom loved the coach burger and the fries were?. My uncle got the sauce piquant and enjoyed it. ?“
“My brother and I ate here last night and we’re so pleasantly surprised by Walk-Ons. From the quick wait time to the amazing food it was a 10/10 experience. But what made our night so memorable was our waitress Marigrace!!! She was kind, funny, and eager to serve our every need. Our drinks never got low, and came out fast, she answered all our questions and requests and even gave out great recommendations. We definitely recommend Walk-Ons and when you go ask for Marigrace as your server she is definitely five out of five stars.“
“Fabulous! The restaurant is located in the L'Auberge Casino in Lake Charles, LA. The ambiance is quiet with nice music and the food was excellent. The charred lemon drop martini was like a tasty dessert! The lobster bisque was great! I highly recommend Ember Grille & Wine Bar!“
“I eat here a lot because the food is just fresh and delicious. I had a shrimp burger it was loaded with large shrimp that covered the bun so yummy! I enjoyed this with a side of onion rings, these crispy crunchy finely thin sliced pieces of onion brought a great taste to my tongue with that shrimp burger. Lastly I downed Dr pepper with it such a yummy meal.“
“It is always so unbearably cold in there. We bring sweaters etc, but last night I shivered through my meal being unable to enjoy it. And the waiter was rushing us through the meal. Arrived at 515p out by 540p. The food is always delicious but the atmosphere killed it. Very fast loud music, difficult to hold a conversation at the table.“
“Food was really good! My salmon was buttery soft, crisp and full of flavor.Super busy. My only complaint is we sat for over an hour and our kids food wasn't brought out. We had to ask and they had a mix up and "forgot". We had to box our food up and then let our toddlers finish eating before we could go.“
“In town for second night and in search of a new place I used YELP. Calla came up with interesting reviews so off to Calla we went. The restaurant is on the second floor of a small French revival styled building in a mixed residential /commercial subdivision. Needless to say it's an attractive community, clean and nicely landscaped with other businesses worth trying Once we arrived by elevator to the second floor we chose outdoor eating. In door looked comfortable but the outdoor is great. The screened in porch keeps away bugs, it's heated with fans also and has soft theme lighting Our server Camille took good care of us. Calla has an excellent lineup of custom cocktails but I went with wine We started with the wedge salad, a nice portion of a head of iceberg lettuce with cherry tomatos, pickled red onion and instead of bacon they do thick cut pork lardons The pickled onions and lardons were a great twist on a wedge salad and the blue cheese dressing had the proper punch to it - definitely homemade. We also had the assortment of house breads a piece of foccaccia , olive rosemary and sourdough with two custom butters . The bread was good but note although it's custom it's not alot and it's considered an appetizer so your gonna pay for it where other restaurants may offer it complimentary For entrees we had the fish of the day, redfish with crab meat and an herb sauce - I thought this was excellent my guest would have preferred it less dressed to appreciate the fish more : tomato/potato to each their own I went with a handheld - the crispy chicken. Sandwich with honey Sriracha sauce, picked red onions, pickles, bacon strips and a sub on the side ...macaroni and cheese instead of fries. DANG. . One of the more memorable sandwiches I've had. Chicken breast was juicy and perfectly fried crispy- piping hot. Sriracha and pickled onions had that sweet and sour punch - this Sandwich size was the FULL PORTION. Mac and cheese side was SO savory. Hot and just cooked to order it too came with lardons - high end custom Mac and cheese for sure Great restaurant with little to pick on I would definitely visit again“
“I got the large chicken strips. It was $11.99 and plenty for 2 people to eat. Chicken was moist and well cooked. The strips were not breaded too think. Fries and Texas toast were good. The gravy was delicious and plentiful. Definitely will order again.“
“Food was pretty good and hot. Service was very slow! We went for a comedy show. The comedy was very lacking in my opinion. Myself and my gf were bored. There were a few chuckles but that’s it. The comedy was also pretty raunchy. The crowd didn’t seem too interested either. At least the food was good! Once we got it.“
“My 341st 'cue stop in a 35 state odyssey brought me here for lunch. You order your meats first, and once you receive the plate, you move on to load up your chosen sides cafeteria style before finishing at the soda machine (coke products). A 2 meat (sausage, brisket), 2 sides (dirty rice, peach cobbler) plate with a diet coke ran a very reasonable $16.34. The chopped brisket proved lightly seasoned with a strong pink ring. The sausage was serviceable, the dirty rice terrific, and the peach cobbler surprisingly bland. If I was taking it home, I would add a spice to improve the flavor profile. The Texas toast is a nice touch. In sum, if you are in the neighborhood and hungry for 'cue, this is worth a stop.“
“Dined alone and service was great. Was sat in the back corner by the big windows but AC was blowing so that area was pretty chili. Gumbo was good but boiled shrimp was slightly overcooked. Asked for an additional napkin and was brought lemons and a warm towel to clean my hands.Usually get the catfish and red beans/sausage. Looks like shrinkflation has hit Landry’s. Food was good but portions seem to have gotten smaller.“
“Best hole in the wall restaurant for breakfast. Now we haven't tried their regular food so it may be great too but we'll definitely be going there when we come to LA for breakfast! Our waitress was great & very good with my kids! Prices were very reasonable & much cheaper than other restaurants around the area! The restaurant a neat little collection of memorabilia & pictures! We had a good experience and will be back!“
“This was a really nice place to stop and eat before heading back home. The service was great!! Nice and clean is always a plus. The waitress brought us everything we asked for right away, and even recommended different options of food combinations. Everyone's plate was delicious! The pancakes were fluffy, the French toast was really good, and biscuits were nice and soft. We had a couple of mimosas to celebrate,I really recommend those too ?“
“Great place for breakfast burgers and burritos. They also have an automatic coffee machine with a variety of drink options. There was only one server when we visited, so it was a little slow. Just expect the need for patience and realize the food is worth it.“
“Esmé was amazing! My husband and I worked in service industry for over a decade and we both agree that this was the best service we've ever had. She was so attentive! We had three young kids (2, 3, and 5) in our party and she anticipated their needs and ours. The food and atmosphere were great but her service made this such a wonderful experience!“
“Wife and I came in for Saturday brunch. Excellent Tasso Egg Benedict!! They overcooked my wife's eggs a bit, but in their defense she didn't specify how she likes them. Their potatoes were to die for! Note: no one under 21 allowed. No artificial sweeteners for the coffee. Only sugar. Their service was pretty good for a bar and grill. The decor in the place was nice. Great music by Rusty Abshire!!!“
“This was our first time to eat here and I can promise you.....it will not be our last!!! The service was superb, and the crab cakes.....OH MY GOD...the crab cakes!!!! The atmosphere was perfect, our bartender/waitress was friendly, funny, and an absolute delight. We can't wait to go back and see everyone there. Thank you 1910 for a wonderful meal, conversation, and experience“
“Anything you choose is going to be great! I've come here a few times and I try something different each time and I haven't been disappointed yet. The shrimp po-boy is phenomenal, the burgers are juicy and well seasoned, the duck tenders are flavorful, I could go on and on. This place isn't just a bar. They actually create great food and I will keep coming back.“
“The atmosphere, band, drinks and servers are great. The food is really lacking.....Went for brunch and the music. The brunch menu is pretty limited. Had the queso dip last time and it was not good. Took forever to come out and tasted awful. This time was going to order the beignets only to find out they aren't actually beignets.... So we ordered the chicken cracklins. They were not seasoned enough. Came out hot in paper bag but were very dry. Will try something different next time.Had the Sterling with cranberry juice added. Tasted good but glass was not filled. Second drink requested a full cup and that's how it came out. Shouldn't have to ask for that.... Server was great and took good care of his customers. Told us about the Friday night specials. Will come back to try that.Heard Brandon Ledet who sounded great and put on a great show! “
“Hands down the best southern/comfort food around in a to-go style setup. Our favorite is the Crawfish Etouffee Potato, pistolettes, and the crawfish nachos!! You really can't go wrong with any item on the menu. Super friendly staff and the food is always hot and fresh.“
“Good friends, good food, good times. Poboys are amazing, always have ice cold beer, live music on Thursday nights and some weekends. This place does get crowded on the weekends. Wayne and Layne are both great guys who happen to be good friends of mine. I highly recommend the food, go have a drink listen to sone tunes and dance the night away.“
“Our waitress was the bomb!!!! It was her birthday that night and she still served with the utmost patience, she was just an all around sweetheart! My wings came out and the flavor was amazing but they were soooo tough, like they weren’t fried long enough and the manger came over, it took a min bc they were busy but he got me the pork chop sandwich w Mac and cheese (it was super rich, I needed a lactose pill ) but it was simply amazing and he comped my ticket!Even in their human mistakes they still did an amazing job! Nobody is perfect and I’m suuuuuuper patient! It worked out and we still tipped well! Will return again!?“
“Food was great. I'm a really big fan of the grilled chicken tenders and this location didn't disappoint. Our server, Savannah, was absolutely fantastic and a great sport for having to deal with our goofiness. She was very professional and made sure our expectations were met.“
“The crawfish was really good and not very spicy. It was easy to peel and crawfish was the right size. Shrimp was excellent also. Sides was good especially the sausage. Dip tasted yummy. Will been back for more.Parking: They can use a bigger parking area. Very limited parking. Use the drive thru to get your order. It was quick that day which was a Saturday.“
“Went here for the first time looking for some brunch. I initially had some skepticism as it's in the casino, however it was great! Wife had the crab Benedict and i had mini waffles. Great food and even greater service. Special thanks to our server, Gigi!!!!“
“I haven't been to waffle house in a long time. I just wanted to stop and give this place some recognition. The food was good. The service was A+. Our server, a young lady, was the epitome of customer service and satisfaction. One of the best servers i have had in a long tome anywhere. I will probably be back again time permitting. Keep up the good work young lass“
“What are you looking for? This isn't fine dinning. It's a hole in the wall with good food. But, if you want some of the best sausage you have ever had than this is the place. Sure, they have other stiff that is good. But the sausage is what it's all about!“
“The wait staff were great and very helpful. Loved our food, the coffee was good. Nice little Cafe! They are everyone's go to in the early morning hours for sure.Parking: We have never had a problem finding a parking spot. Sometimes it may be difficult when they are super busy.Kid-friendliness: There are high chairs and kids menu“
“Let me tell y’all something….. Crawfish is on point! I had to stop myself and take a picture bc these are the biggest I’ve had in awhile. Plus, I got 3lbs of crawfish (1lb shrimp, 2 corn, plus 2 sauces) all for $31 on Tuesday! I’m sold on Crawsfish Stop!“
“Incredible little place! The food is always amazing and cooked fresh. Call ahead if you’re in a hurry, it’ll take 15 minutes or so to prepare, but it’s worth the wait. Try the shrimp poboy on Texas toast! This is my favorite locally owned restaurant!“
