Widowmaker Brewing Brewery • $$
220 Wood Rd, Braintree

“Place was rocking on a Saturday afternoon after a short renovation and reopening. Metal music, dogs, and hazy IPAs. A bit of an outdated concept at this point but it still seems to be working for them. On the pricey side but came for the lagers and was not disappointed. Both their Helles and Czech Dark were quality and quite good. Would drink the Helles (Logic Gate) regularly if I were local. Good taproom vibes and a few good eats available.“

“The bar pizza here is so good especially the #9 steak pizza laced and well done. The alcoholic beverages are on point with just the right amount of alcohol. Our bartender Tony always made sure that drinks were never empty. They do have Keno and plenty of flat screen tvs with multiple sports playing.“

Distraction Brewing Co. Brewery • $$
2 Belgrade Ave, Roslindale - 8.45 miles

“The Tall Man and I were looking for a low key hangout with baby in tow, and Distraction Brewing was the perfect place. This new-to-us brewery on the cute pedestrian-only Birch St. had an outdoor patio but we opted for seats inside. It's not a big place, but it has a good number of tables and bench seating in a brightly lit space. The Tall Man got the autumn flight of 4 beers (one being one of their maltinis), which he enjoyed for their variety. I wasn't up for imbibing so I got a Health-Aid kombucha from the fridge. (They also carry Athlete's nonalcoholic beer in cans.) They have some packaged snacks for purchase, but they encourage people to get food from local businesses to eat there. It was pretty darn convenient to pick up lunch from nearby Chilacates. It made for a very chill lunch and sip. We weren't even the only ones with a stroller! It was a relief to find a brewery that's not utterly mobbed and where we could bring the little one. I would definitely come back for another relaxing hangout.“

Samuel Adams Boston Brewery - Jamaica Plain Brewery • $
30 Germania St, Boston - 8.95 miles

“Fun tour, we did it early morning. Needless to say, we had a good buzz by noon. Tour guides are awesome and friendly. At the end of the tour, they give you beer to sample. You get to keep your sampling cups, very cute. We had the privilege to sample 3 or 4 beers, I don't remember. There is also a gift shop and a "bar" where you could drink, not included in the tour. I would highly recommend this tour while in Boston.“

Roundhead Brewing Company Brewery •
Westinghouse Plaza Building #10, Hyde Park - 7.04 miles

“There’s a lot that stands out about this brewery. I stumbled upon it during a solo adventure day and noticed several of the bees had latin influences. The owner is Peruvian and brings these flavors to truly impeccably crafted brews. You are greeted with the smell of fresh empanadas and pizza when you enter into their open floor plan. There’s a lovely loft that overlooks the industrial space, plenty of arcade games, and lots of communal, individual, and cozy seating for any hang. TVs and live music are also available. Two things immediately stood out to me that don’t happen in every brewery: it’s not only child friendly, but kids have diverse ages and backgrounds and are all kindly playing with each other. The patrons are from many backgrounds, as breweries often bring in white, cis, straight crowds. It feels inviting to see so many different walks of life enjoying their time here with each other. The servers are incredibly kind, thoughtful, and welcoming. Their suggestions are great. When I checked out, the server let me know 20% is already included and servers are paid a living wage.To summarize, what a lovely establishment. The owners of roundhead truly thought of what it means to create an inclusive space that everyone can enjoy.“

Vitamin Sea Brewing Brewery • $$
30 Moore Rd, Weymouth - 3.98 miles

“More of the classic, metal-building production brewery layout than other high-profile breweries making the Boston area's best beer. But, more down-to-earth, too. Impressive range, focusing on IPAs. Lots of seating and free parking. Worth the drive down.“

Break Rock Brewing Brewery •
On Boardwalk, 534 Victory Rd, Quincy - 6.47 miles

“My husband and I hosted our rehearsal dinner at Break Rock Brewing. It was an absolute hit! We are huge brewery people and this place was right up our alley. It is right on the boardwalk of the beautiful Marina Bay with stunning views of the marina. They reserved an area for us where we had plenty of room. They don't serve food, so we had our dinner catered by Fat Cat right around the corner. Their beers are delicious and their staff is super friendly. The planning process was incredibly easy and their event manager was very responsive and transparent throughout the entire process. They also had a live DJ and arcade games which were a huge hit! Highly recommend hosting your event here!“

Dorchester Brewing Company Brewery • $$
1250 Massachusetts Ave, Boston - 8.44 miles

“Welcoming, clean, and a beautiful beer/selzter/cider selection. I had the mango peach selzter which was crisp, light, and not too sweet. I tried the cider which again wasn’t too sweet and actually tasted like apples. Queer friendly which is difficult to find out this way, so I think I’ll definitely be coming back. Perfect place to grab a board game and spend some time with your buds.“

Barrel House Z Brewery • $
95 Woodrock Rd, Weymouth - 4.04 miles

“We had a wonderful time at Barrell Z House this past Saturday. Our bartender, dressed in Germany garb for Oktoberfest, was so friendly and helpful. We had our little dog Ella with us and was made to feel welcome. Our bartender even brought us a fresh bowl of water for her. We got some delicious sirloin sliders for us and doggie biscuits with PB for Ella from the food truck. My husband and I enjoyed the IPA. We tasted two different types, one more fruity and aroma, the other more hoppy. We’re hop heads and both agreed that the more hoppy one was our fav! They have a nice, shady outdoor area with Adirondack chairs, a great space to soak up the beer and sunshine these early fall days.“

Mighty Squirrel Brewing Co. – Fenway Brewery • $$
1 David Ortiz Dr, Boston - 10.83 miles

“Love this new location easy to get to from my apartment and went there with a friend for dinner. Their Buffalo Chicken Pizza is the bomb and a must try. Also their Pina Colada was great that I ended it doing two rounds. Being on two floors there is plenty of space for big gatherings or small because on the second floor there is a room that can be closed off with a private bathroom. I already have plans to go back again soon. In total there are four bars. One on the first floor and three on the second floor.“
