“It is the spot for my buddies and I on weekends, especially to watch the golf. Around this area, this is the best place to catch a game with great food and drinks that is actually reasonably priced for once! $3.75 Coors drafts and make sure to start off with the steak and cheese egg rolls; show a little love to the ketchup and you’re set.“
“This place is great to go on a nice warm day. The outside seating give you the opportunity to soak in good weather and people watch. The side of the restaurant has large windows that open up into the bar area.Food: The first time I can here we were just passing by and popped in for a drinks and dessert. I can highly recommend the ice cream and churros. They second time we got real food to go with our dessert. Again the dessert (this time a skillet cookie and ice cream) was also very good. I'd also recommend the Honey Mustard Chicken Salad and the steak tip sandwich.Service: Always had friendly servers. It can get very busy though, especially outside so be aware.Parking can be a bit of a task - there is a small lot immediately in front of the restaurant and a small lot to the side. This place is in the heart of Braintree on a main road so can get a bit busy. Can't wait to visit again in warm weather!“
“The Tall Man and I were looking for a low key hangout with baby in tow, and Distraction Brewing was the perfect place. This new-to-us brewery on the cute pedestrian-only Birch St. had an outdoor patio but we opted for seats inside. It's not a big place, but it has a good number of tables and bench seating in a brightly lit space. The Tall Man got the autumn flight of 4 beers (one being one of their maltinis), which he enjoyed for their variety. I wasn't up for imbibing so I got a Health-Aid kombucha from the fridge. (They also carry Athlete's nonalcoholic beer in cans.) They have some packaged snacks for purchase, but they encourage people to get food from local businesses to eat there. It was pretty darn convenient to pick up lunch from nearby Chilacates. It made for a very chill lunch and sip. We weren't even the only ones with a stroller! It was a relief to find a brewery that's not utterly mobbed and where we could bring the little one. I would definitely come back for another relaxing hangout.“
“Visiting from overseas and found this cracking neighbourhood pub. Service very efficient and friendly. Food was also really good - the special fries were delicious - and a great pint of guinness. Brilliant atmosphere to cap it all off. Well done guys.“
“Late night. Week night. No Irish pub around the corner. No worries, you got Cornwall's. Service was excellent. Slight change in making the Reuben into a Rachel and still a fantastic sandwich was to be had. Only sour note was the side pickles might want to be more firmer and pickled. The unflavored everyday ordered Ice tea even had a nice kick to it. Price point was point on. So, Irish or not, do a visit.“
“It's a bit shocking as you expect a dive bar, and they do have dive bah tendencies, and the food is all amazing! Talk about service, the bartenders are some of the best around. You're not going to go here for high end, you are going to go here to understand what a neighborhood bar and restaurant is. And it's amazing. Will note - at busier times the parking sucks, bit there is the church parking across the street ?“
“Absolutely great spot in Downtown Quincy! Pictured is the pork shank, but everything we had was delicious. The prices are also an amazing value as we each had an entree, two drinks, dessert and the bill was only $84! Will definitely be back!!“
“We had a wonderful breakfast at McSwiggans this morning. The Irish breakfast was amazing with authentic Irish brown bread and wonderful Irish tea. The service was excellent with a great atmosphere. I can't wait to return to try the dinner menu.“
“We were deciding what to eat for our anniversary dinner. One kid wants sushi, another wanted ramen or chicken katsu, wife wanted sashimi and I wanted Yakitori. We landed on Omori Izakaya.Parking was easy right on the same street and plenty of spots available at dinner time on a Saturday. We got there earlier than our reservation. We were seated immediately with maybe few more tables open. We order some Yakitori and appetizers to start. The pork belly, chicken gizzards and chicken hearts were extremely flavorful. The chicken skin was crunchy perfection. The octopus was grilled to perfection with a little of mixed spices on top. Hotate Kaiyaki came out on a little warmer with a little flame and very cool presentation. Tako Yaki was good as well. For main courses we order chicken katsu dinner and dragon roll and caterpillar and sashimi combo. The kids love the chicken katsu. They also loved the maki rolls. Sashimi also fresh.Overall we had a great time. The food were very good. The stars were the Yakitori skewers.Parking: Plenty of meter parking on the same street as the restaurant.“
“Paddy Barry's Quincy is truly a remarkable pub, earning a solid 9 out of 10 rating. Stepping inside feels like being transported back to the lively atmosphere of a pub in Cork City, right by the quay. The energy is infectious, with the sounds of laughter and conversation filling the air. You'll also have the pleasure of encountering craters with incredible stories to share, making every visit an adventure. And let's not forget the talented musician who always graces the pub with their guitar skills, taking the ambiance to new heights. We are incredibly fortunate to have a pub of this caliber in Boston and the surrounding area. And when it comes to the perfect pint, Paddy Barry's Quincy undoubtedly delivers the best in the South Shore“
“Jo's is a landmark in Hull. It's a wonderful place, very relaxed and friendly. The drinks are always generous, and the bartenders are friendly. I love looking at all of the historical nautical decor. Really, the feeling that Jo's elicits is like no other. There's a deck where you can enjoy your drink during nice weather. (Fetch your drinks yourself.) They only have chips, but you can order takeout from a variety of menus. Sometimes they have live music; those nights are very fun. On Sundays they have extraordinary Bloody Mary's.“
“Fantastic atmosphere & Service. Food was delicious, freshly cooked. Definitely try this bar out as you won't be disappointed. Went in as strangers, left as friends. Looking forward to our next visit when we are back. Thank you John, Bar Staff, waiting Staff, chef & the lovely Barney for a wonderful experience ?.Paula & Jack ??“
“Stopped in for a late lunch on a Thursday and the place was really busy! Service was super quick despite being busy. I had the BBQ turkey tip entree and my partner had the meatloaf special. Both were excellent! The place is cozy inside with a bustling bar and several high top tables. Definitely recommend!“
“A bar as comfortable as a well worn pair of shoes. A chill vibe and excellent food!Oysters were plump and fresh, their Asian prep is great: yuzu soy, ginger and wasabi. Very tasty! Their house cocktail sauce is good too.The Smoked Seafood.Chowder was a surprising standout! Chock full of smoked fish and in a "not too rich" cream base, this isn't an overly thickened chowder and one of the best chowder I've had.Lobster Roll is very good and well priced. Not too overly dressed and LOTS of minced lobster, topped off with a strip of bacon. Seems to be a P-Town thing, bacon on a Lobstah Roll. I'm not mad at it at all! Good sweet potato fries, the harissa sauce can use more harissa. The CURRY FRIES are legit!Good beer and whisky selection.“
“We finally returned to The Snug since before COVID restrictions. We loved the Irish music and oldies bands. We arrived before the music this evening and were lucky to be seated immediately. It is usually crowded and noisy. Our server was personable and got our drinks and food quickly. The Snug is, as the name suggests, a snug Irish pub filled with Irish memorabilia. The Smithwicks had a plump foamy head and is lighter than Guinness. My SO's sangria had a hint of peach schnapps flavor. The Greek salad was more than enough for two. The fried haddock sandwich was so big I thought it was the fish dinner. The fish was flaky with a crunchy exterior and the roll was soft and delicious. I had it served with vegetables; the carrots and green beans were tasty but the broccoli was cold. The appetizing chicken salad sandwich was a bit different; shredded chicken and craisins were on a hot dog bun and the mayo was on the side. We will return to The Snug soon to enjoy the music, food and drinks.“
“On our SSBP Travels we found our way to this Old School Hidden Gem? . We ordered some Beers ? which arrived Ice Cold ❄️ .We ordered 1) Pepperoni and Bacon Pizza ? 2) Linguica and Onion Pizza ?3) Hamburger and Jalapeno Pizza ?All Laced and Well Done .The Pizzas were so Delicious ??The Pizza Chef took Great Pride in her Craft and was very Friendly and Welcoming as was our Bartender.FYI ? Cash Only ? ? with ATM inside. The Service was Great ?.I Highly Recommend!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐“
“My husband & I were visiting our daughter in Whitman and decided to try this pub. We had the best time! The food was delicious (shepherd's pie)! Great service & a cozy spot. We loved the live music too (Bob Phillips). My husband felt like he was playing his CD collection! We'll definitely be back.“
“Cute local dive bar but clean with its regulars as well as pool leagues with the option to simply pay to play pool table. Nothing super fancy in terms of cocktails but atmosphere is welcoming and bar is fully stocked to accommodate any request.“
“We found this Charming Tavern on our Travels through Quincy. The Staff was Friendly and Welcoming. We ordered Drinks and a couple of appetizers Buffalo Chicken loaded Nachos and loaded Tater Tots ? with Smoked Bacon ? everything was Delicious ? and the Drinks were Ice Cold ???.For Entrees: a couple of Burgers? with fries ? and a Reuben Sandwich with fries ? which were very Tasty ?.Great Place to watch Sports Games with a Cold Drink and Delicious Food ?.The Service was Excellent ?I Highly Recommend!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐“
“Wonderful staff, very welcoming. The food was delicious. We had the chicken buffalo ragoons, freshly made onion rings and Quahogs. Emily was a delight, so friendly. The musicians was very talented and music was not too loud. Definitely worth a visit.“
“This is a no frill local spot with good apps (try the various eggrolls), decent prices, a good beer selection, touchtunes juke box, and pub trivia. There is also parking in a lot next door behind 7/11. It's a local institution that is consistent and doesn't disappoint.“
“The burger was good, it wasn't great. The service was really slow and I think that is part of the lack of ability to hire people right now, not necessarily a reflection of the restaurant. Nice place to go before a show, not crazy expensive for the theater district.“
“If you like a South shore style bar pizza, then you have to give O'toole's a tryThe pizza alone is worth the visit, but the burgers, sandwiches and chicken wings are also great. ( I haven't explored more of the menu than that, but I will eventually)The space is small, and is usually filled with friendly enthusiastic customers, and can get a little cramped. But the service is fast, the food is great, and it's a really fun spot“
“Wonderful bar pizzas, great salads. Staff is crazy busy but not enough to forget about you. Service was really good despite . Damiens has been in business for decades and they have tons of regulars. They also have a great take out business.“
“I went there a couple months ago when I had a friend visited me. Very nice, calm atmosphere. The age of the people are not college kids, 20 year olds, they are a little older, so it is more calm. The service is very nice. Out in the back, they have a separate covering where you can chill with people and have your drinks and food.“
“Server was friendly and efficient.Great food and prices!Baked scallops, baked haddock and rib eye with potato and veg, each for about $23, unheard of!Portion size was plentiful and the food was fresh and hot with one exception.Vegetables weren’t hot but still tasty.Worth a return visit!“
“Bartender on Mondays is amazing. 10/10 hot red head with a little bit of cinnamon spice. Almost thought I was at hooters when I walked in. and that man working the bar on Monday days? Think I've seen him on my tik tok for you page before, pretty sure he's an influencer. 10/10 establishment. Recommend to everyone.“
“Local dive - inexpensive drinks with mixed crowds. Your experience can certainly vary from night to night - service is as expected, locals will get a bit more attention than you, so be patient!Good place for cheap drinks and to watch the game“
“On behalf of my family, I would like to thank the staff for hosting my brothers funeral reception. We also had his 50th birthday day at Doyle’s only four years ago. The food was excellent and the staff were very accommodating. A special thank you to Marc Garcea for his help and hard work.“
“Walked here before a concert. We grabbed a high top and stole chairs from other people's tables they weren't using. We were trying to order food on the app when the bartender came over. She was super nice, asked if we needed drinks. Gave some recommendations. We started with tatchos, a Vermont cider and a Long Island. We also ordered burgers. I did not expect the food to be as good as it was. The burger was really greasy but honestly I haven't had a burger like that in so long-it was welcomed. Everything was so damn good. If we didn't live 2 hours away it would easily have been a regular visit.“
“I've stayed at the nearby resort for two years in a row now for an annual convention in Boston, and both years ordered pizza and snacks from here. It's rapidly becoming a tradition! I get a white pizza with spinach, onion, feta, and black olives - and it's absolutely delicious! The fried dough is also some of the best I've had - not too crunchy but not too soft either. I look forward to ordering again next year!“
“While Cronins can be characterized as a "dive bar", it is a great place to grab some very good food for a very reasonable price! This last visit we had an order of chicken wings and stuffed clams for appetizers and then shared a bar pizza. All were very well done. In the past we have had the steak tips, shepherds pie as well as other specials.“
“Re-openned under new ownership. Great pub menu with very tasty food and reasonable prices. St Patty's drink specials were a nice touch. Had the Adult Shamrock Shake. Yum Staff is great. Friendly and welcoming!Vegetarian options: Have a great take on the warm veggie wrap, Baby Zucchini, mushrooms, grape tomatoes and Chick peas. Also offer a veggie pizza, burger and calzone. Mac and cheese was delish. Many menu items have optional meat added so seem to start more veg friendly.“
“You wouldn't think that The Mooring is a place for a memorable salad. It's a neighborhood bar, with friendly service, great pizza and bar food. Everything a person would want... But the "OMG" Oh My Goat Salad is amazing. Perfect proportions of greens, goat cheese, glazed walnuts and cranberries. It's a perfect side dish to accompany any of the other offerings at the Mooring. Well worth a taste, the next time you want something "healthy" but still indulgent. I had it with pepperoni pizza, a great combination. Enjoy!“
“Randomly decided to stop in for lunch one day, and glad we did!Food: The big pretzel was great - Its huge and great for sharing. The Country Chicken Pot Pie and burgers are good and I would recommend.Parking- plenty of parking in the lot.Atmosphere - very Irish pub feels. We sat inside because its winter but would be interested to try their outdoor seating in the summer. Service was fair and we would come back again“
