“What an amazing place. In these times when we are still not comfortable dining indoors this place rocks. The chef behind these dishes knows a thing or two about bringing beer garden food to a totally new level. Thank you chef and staff in front of the house.”
“I recently visited this omakase restaurant and was truly impressed. The quality of the fish they use is exceptional, and I enjoyed every single dish they prepared. The presentation of each course was beautiful and thoughtful, adding to the overall dining experience. The atmosphere in the restaurant is cozy and inviting, and the service was excellent—attentive, friendly, and professional. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a top-notch omakase experienced! 10/10”
“Visited for the first time during a girls’ night out, and I was so impressed! The atmosphere was perfect for relaxing and enjoying a few drinks, and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful. I absolutely loved the cozy, speakeasy vibe—it made the whole experience feel special. I would definitely come back again!””
“First visit today, although we live somewhat in the neighborhood and I am already kicking myself for not having got here sooner. Red tabbouleh spicing was very punchy and vivid. Allspice in the stuffed grape leaves make them worth coming back for, not something I think I've ever said about stuffed grape leaves before. Most unforgettable was the red lentil soup with its soft rich velvety texture over two or three layers of different delicious flavors. Great first impression, can't wait to go back, solid A leaning toward A+.”

“Decided to go out for dinner with a few friends and it was delicious. I liked the citrus dressing on the avocado salad. The filet mignon was tender and flavorful. For dessert, green tea ice cream is a must!”
“Not bad at all! Everything tasted good, although I wish the hand-cut noodles hadn’t been so uniform in their shape so I didn’t question their “hand” cut ness.
The beef scallion pancake was very nice, and thinly sliced scallion inside reminded me of Beijing duck flavors. It was quite sweet.
The pan fried buns were tasty, though maybe not the best I’ve had in Boston.
I would say that this restaurant has actually Chinese food, but seems very accessible and friendly to non-Chinese people who might be intimidated by anything too authentic.
Despite being quite full on Friday night, there was no wait for a table for 2.”

“My favorite, # 1 bakery in the Boston area. I've been coming here for years. Lots of, lots of love for this place and folks. ❤️❤️❤️🫶 Their breads and pastries are simply the best. It’s the kind of bread that takes you straight back to your grandma’s kitchen.
Over the years, they've gotten incredibly popular, and the lines now can be a bit much, especially on weekends or holidays. So I don’t stop by as often these days, but they’ll always have a special place in my heart.”

“Wonderful food and amazing service. We highly recommend the Washington Square Tavern. The best in the neighborhood!”
“Absolutely lovely food and cozy atmosphere surpassed only by the staff! Everything was delicious, very attentive staff (without being too invasive) and great options between drinks and dishes.”
“Friendly service and amazing food! My daughter had the grilled organic chicken sandwich and I had the mixed greens and arugula salad-- both were delicious. Our server was knowledgeable, and several other servers double checked on us and greeted us as they walked by. We will definitely be back.”

“Dining out lately has been disappointing—expensive with mediocre food and service—so I rarely do it anymore. However, this restaurant was a wonderful exception. Both the food and service were exceptional, and the atmosphere was lovely.
The fried chicken was perfectly crispy and delicious, and the seafood soup was full of flavor. They even treated us to a complimentary small drink at the end! What impressed me most was their honesty: they calculate the suggested tip based on the pre-tax amount. Many places nowadays calculate tips after tax, which I find unfair. It’s refreshing to see a business with such integrity. Highly recommended!”
“I cannot recommend Ssaanjh enough. From the food to the atmosphere and service, this is a standout restaurant. It was so clear how much love and thought goes into each dish and that truly shows as a customer. We quite literally licked our plates clean and I will be thinking about this meal for weeks. YOU MUST GO!!”
“Family had dinner at Stoked in Cohasset last weekend….what a great meal! Pizzas were SO delicious, as were the Greek and Caesar salads. House wines were really good. Children loved their meals too. Our server was terrific, fun and attentive. An overall perfect experience…casual and delicious!! It was a little quiet when we went, but it was early. Can’t imagine this local gem will be quiet very often! We’ll all be back ! Nana from Hingham”
“Bangers and mash were fabulous at this, new to me, lovely, Irish pub!”

““ Masterpieces in the form of Sandwiches “ These people @ Michael’s Deli don’t make sandwiches they make masterpieces. When my immigrant parents said “ Study Hard” they meant so I can live in a neighborhood that serves sandwiches like those found at Michael’s Deli. Even if you don’t live close take the train , fly , drive or walk . These sandwiches are phenomenal.”
“Had a breakfast date here and it was quiet and cozy. The owner was very kind in serving us and answering all our questions. It was our first time trying Turkish coffee. We were worried it was so small😅 but it was really strong and was sufficient to get the early morning kick we needed for work. If you are ordering a sandwich, you also have the option of deciding which bread you want- bagel or croissant. We got both and they were nice and filling.
If you are looking for a cozy, budget-friendly place with great coffee, I highly recommend MeetPoint.”
“I am so pleased that I can go right down the street from my house and am able to buy a really good apple pie, filled with lots of apples just the right amount of sugar, I almost ate the whole pie myself, another great pie which is my favorite is the Key Lime pie, Lemon squares and blueberry muffins are a must try them. Phyllis O'Leary”
“I ordered the Pho King and it was super delicious!!! The broth was flavorful and seasoned, the beef was tender, and the vegetables and noodles were cooked perfectly. All the flavors came together to make a superb bowl of comfort. A shout out to the server, CHUCK, who answered my questions and provided thoughtful recommendations. I'm bringing family and friends next time!!!”
“Came here after some Newburry street exploring. Only a 10 minute drive. The food was delicious, and fresh. The nachos were some of the best I've ever had along with the white queso.
The staff was friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be stopping by when I am in the area!”
“Coleen will immediately make you feel part of her community. We popped in for brunch on a recommendation and we're so happy we did. Small town community feel in the heart of Brookline. Excellent food, fair pricing, owner operated; and you can see she's well loved in the community. I will always come back here if I'm in the area looking for a bite to eat and a break.”
“Absolutely love this place. The broths are so flavorful and the choices for meat and veggies are great. They are always so kind and tolerant of my two year old who can be very roudy at times.”

“" just like to say that Putterhamgrille did the best job on my passover meal, Friday was so busy but the staff/team at Putterham was so organized they had everything ready as soon as I walked in the door, also besides my regular set order, the gentleman at the front helped me select more delicious sides to go with my Passover meal"”
“This place deserves beyond 5 star! Best authentic Thai food I’ve tasted! If you’re looking for a family-like home made style place, this is the one! Highly recommend Tom Khar soup, the maliss fresh rolls were super fresh, and of course, the spicy pad Thai. Delicious! Not to mention staff was very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend! Definitely coming back!”
“I ordered food from here by pickup late at 10pm. Both of these things typically cause food to generally be worse in my opinion.
However, the food was amazing! The miso soup and shrimp tempura maki were really good.
I also got the chicken katsu, and it was absolutely delicious! Not only that, but it was a very generous portion size too! Given how much chicken there was, I would've liked a little more katsu sauce, but it was so yummy.
Can't wait to go back!”

“I've been here twice to eat the salmon ochazuke, the broth is so comforting. Paired with the long list of flavorful cocktails and dark atmosphere, it's a great spot to hangout. Try the cold tea for two.”

“This was my first time going to Soup Shack and I was very impressed. It’s a small place, but the server was very kind and food came out pretty fast. The spicy miso beef ramen was delicious with the perfect amount of spice. Overall, I think I will definitely visit again”
“I got take out poke bowls and they were both really delicilious. I got my partner the ahi tuna bowl on salad. He said it was really tasty, but the salad was just big chunks of lettuce and not cut up quite right. That was the only negative remark. I got a build your own bowl with tofu and shrimp tempura with corn, seaweed salad, avocado, and edamame with spicy mayo. It was SO GOOD! The person behind the counter was so nice. I will absolutely be back often.
The inside might not look super fancy and what not, but it's worth the try.”
“What a nice little bagel shop. What really impressed me about this place is the service, large portions and the very fair pricing of goods. To be honest after having NY bagels, these don't seem as chewy in the middle, but for Boston they are good. Also, I've bought a chocolate croissant. The croissant didn't have that flakey buttery texture of a typical French style croissant. But, I will say they've made up for it as it was huge. The bagel and the cream cheese filling was very generous as well. If you want good value and good portions this is a place to go to.”
“We’re visiting the Boston area and decided to try Rami’s since we were looking for a glatt kosher place nearby.
It’s a simple, casual spot, but the food was fresh and very satisfying. We ordered classic Israeli dishes, and everything tasted authentic and well prepared. Service was quick, and the staff was efficient.
The place isn’t fancy, but it’s clean and does exactly what it’s supposed to do — good kosher food without a long wait. Prices are reasonable for the area.
Overall, a solid and reliable option if you’re looking for kosher food in Brookline.”
“The kushi yaki beef is really good. Would recommend trying.
Tonkotsu ramen was fine, but didnt taste how I expected a tonkotsu ramen to taste. It tasted more like a vegetable pork soup. On the flip side, not too salty compares to other ramens so I drank a lot of it. Lastly, the egg tasted weird...it wasnt bad per say but I liked the eggs from other ramen places a lot better.
Overall solid place. Worth a try.”
“My first visit here. I had a dish where you make your own rice paper rolls with a protein. I had pork and it came with peanuts, carrots, watercress, cucumber, rice and a sweet mild fish sauce. It was delicious and fun. I didn't finish and for my to go box they included a fresh container of the dipping sauce so I was able to have the exact same thing again at home.”
“Three of us went in yesterday around 11:45 for a quick lunch and we were all very happy: I had the cold turkey sandwich on a challah roll, the coleslaw and a secret dressing were on the sandwich and it was delicious. I'm also not a huge lover of pickles, but the nice big one accompanying the sandwich was good!
Other dishes were the chicken salad on a bagel and a bagel, schmear and veggies. Katie (I think that is her name???) took our order and brought it out as soon as it was ready, as well as checked in with us to see how everything was.
We sat along the window for people watching, Washington Square never disappoints! Embarrassed to say it was my first time in, but definitely will not be the last!”
“Best gluten free noodles I’ve ever had.
I’ve tried gluten free ramen in the US, Japan, and Europe, and this is the best by far. There’s a $4 extra charge, but it’s worth it. Just a note the soup contains a bit of gluten, so it’s only for people who are ok with that. Must try.”

“Excellent food and cocktails! Service was wonderful. The bartender, Bernie, is wonderful! She makes the best Old Fashion I have ever had. It’s a small neighborhood “hole in the wall” vibe. Definitely worth trying.”

“Fresh, authentic and delicious Lebanese food! I have tried the spicy potatoes, eggplant dish, tabule salad and the falafel sandwich. I feel
so fortunate to have this little gem in Brookline! Highly recommended”
“Enjoyed a delicious brunch here today - they also serve their regular menu all day. Staff was friendly, beautiful space.”
“I highly recommend this hidden gem. Fresh sushi at a great price, especially for the lunch specials. The restaurant is small so I usually get takeout. The owners are hardworking and nice.”

“I know this place since 1995 , when I was landed in Boston, my friend introduce this place. Very nice experience and iconic those days when Indian grocery was hard to find around Boston area. I remember the owner Mangala and her husband, very nice people and call you in case any missing items coming from vendor. It is become weekend ritual to visit Madras masala those days in heart of the city. We moved out to suburb and to out of Massachusetts but still visit when we get in Boston the owners remember me. No internet those days this is the place to get information about indian activities and cultural program informations etc. memorable place for us.”

“Stayed in Brookline for the week and ended up here by happenstance my first night there. One of the best pubs I’ve ever been to and some of the best food I’ve had in a long time! A big shoutout to Greg’s mom for the beef stew🤌 Whether you’re there for a great pint, to catch a game, or just some good craic, Hamilton’s is the place to be. I’d fly back to Boston in a heartbeat just to eat here again.”
“Came here with a friend out of town, and the service was amazing. Really attentive servers and lots of pre-bussing which I appreciate. My vegan ramen was delicious, and a good price for the combo deal. I also got the lychee cocktail that was very sweet but pretty good. Overall would come again!”

“This is not a cafe that will give you the experience of a Starbucks or Tatte. If you value niceness and accommodation from the staff over a serious consideration for good coffee you’d be better off going elsewhere. The owner makes great coffee in my opinion, and there are not a lot of places in the neighborhood that do. The only drawback is that the taste goes downhill for me whenever another barista is working there, which has sadly been pretty often lately. They always have fresh specialty coffee beans though which is awesome. Also lots of cafes do reusable cup only days, some of these complaints are just sounding ridiculously entitled.”

“Absolutely the best poke in the Boston area. The ingredients are fresh, the servings are generous, and they have an amazing array of toppings. The ratio of fish/toppings to rice is perfect, just enough rice but not filling up half the bowl like some places. I order it for delivery and it comes super fast, too! Genuinely worth every penny.”

“Just an absolute gem. A small dining room awaits you with the most amazing people. I brought my son, and one of the employees put on cocomelon for my son to keep him happy.
The food was amazing! I’ve spent a lot of time in Thailand and have to say everything was delicious! Just an excellent place to eat dinner and find your favorite family owned Thai spot!”
“Tucked just off the steady rhythm of Commonwealth Avenue, Kyo Matcha doesn’t announce itself loudly. It doesn’t need to. The space is small, almost deliberately so—light wood, clean lines, a quiet hum of conversation. It feels less like a destination and more like a pause. The kind of place you slip into between obligations, not to indulge extravagantly, but to recalibrate.
The dessert arrives without theatrics: a swirl of matcha and milk soft serve, crowned and partially engulfed by glossy black boba. But what looks simple quickly turns layered, almost architectural in its contrasts. The soft serve itself is restrained—this is not the aggressively sweet, artificial matcha that dominates so many menus. The green tea carries a gentle bitterness, clean and slightly grassy, grounded by the mellow sweetness of the milk base. It’s balanced, deliberate, and, importantly, adult.
Then there’s the boba. Still warm.
That detail changes everything.
The pearls sit beneath and along the side of the ice cream, their heat slowly bleeding into the cold cream, creating a shifting boundary between temperatures. Each bite becomes unstable in the best way: cold turns lukewarm, creamy meets elastic chew, sweetness deepens and then recedes. The boba itself is soft without collapsing, with just enough resistance to remind you it was cooked moments ago. It’s not a topping—it’s a counterpoint.
What makes this dessert work is not novelty, but tension. Temperature against temperature. Bitterness against sugar. Airy softness against dense chew. Nothing dominates; everything negotiates.
In a city where dessert often leans toward excess—more sugar, more toppings, more spectacle—Kyo Matcha feels almost corrective. It strips things back, focuses on texture, on flavor integrity, on proportion. The portion isn’t oversized. The space isn’t loud. And that restraint is precisely the point.
It’s the kind of place you go when you don’t want to be overwhelmed—just quietly reminded that even something as simple as ice cream and tea can still surprise you, if done with care.”
“Big Fun Claypot is a great addition to Brookline. It's clean and near a green line stop. The servers are polite and attentive. The salt and pepper is perfectly flavored and not dry. The beef chow fun has the wok energy taste but its on the oily side. As for the claypot rice itself, I ordered the eel which had a few bones in it but the eel was seasoned well.”
“You have to go check out this place. It is in the cutest space. Mediterranean food at its best. So much better than all the rest. Truly Zatar is the best by far!!! Nice selection of food for Vegan and Vegetarians. Had the Vegan Kibbeh, Meat Kibbeh, Zatar Flatbread, Hamburgers, Fries, Babaganoush, Hummus, Grape Leaves and Israeli Salads.”
“Cafe Itadaki is having their soft opening until August 4th.
I tried the Omurice. The server brings it out to you and cuts it open as well, resulting in the signature pour seen with omurice. I thought the dish was very good, not much to elevate it but the sauce included tastes decent with it.
I also tried the original omurice, which was pretty good as well. It only includes ketchup as a sauce, but the included meat and rice was good.
We also tried the onigiri, which had good portions and was affordable for what they offered.
Not sure if the price will change when they do open, but the prices here lean a bit cheaper than other places, and the portion size here is decent.
I definitely will want to try and go back once the restaurant opens.”
“One of the few newer spots in Brookline Village that seems like it's going to be a great lunch option. There are a few bar stools and a counter but more of a grab and go style. We took ours to the picnic tables across the street in front of the library.
We ordered
-Fruity Oolong Tea with Lychee Jelly
-Fruity Lemonade with Mango
-Chicken Katsu Burg with Mala Spicy Sauce
-Bulgolgi Steak Burg with House Fries
The staff was very polite and was able to make recommendations to our taste. The food took about 10 minutes to prepare and tasted fresh.
We really enjoyed the seasoning on the house fries and are excited to come back and try the bowl versions as the flavors were great on both burgs.”
“Delicious hand pulled noodles. Don’t wear white - you’ll get so excited eating that the soup will splatter! The lunch combo has a very generous portion size. The egg was delicious addition! Salted vegetables were a great appetizer. I liked the thin noodles, next time will try wide. The service was very attentive”

“The food was fresh and fantastic! Service was excellent !”
