“Got to have a good cold beer and some great food this past Friday before Participating in the 250th Anniversary of The Battle of Bunker Hill. We came all the way from Roxboro North Carolina. People were friendly, don’t know if it was my Southern Accent 😁 but either way I had a great time relaxing at the Tavern.”

“This place is amazing. Everything. We flew in and were so tired but it was my husbands bday so we had to get brunch… I’ve never had better pancakes, Benedict, avocado/salmon toast, bacon & egg sandwich… 5 stars for service, atmosphere and cuisine! We’ll be back and you should too!”

“Do yourself a favor - skip over the Boston restaurants and head straight here. I’ve been coming for years and the food never disappoints. The service is great. And there’s gluten free on Monday - what more could you want!? Fabulous.”

“Had my birthday celebration at Blackmoor today. Excellent experience all around. Large Beer and Cocktail list and the appetizers were amazing! I had the Cod and it was one of the best meals I've had. Excellent service and atmosphere and this delicious desert to top it off! Highly recommend!”

“Go on Karoke night. The is a woman who sings “green eyes lady” that blew me away.
Reminded me of the Hideout in Chicago and that bar in Starwars.
Great spot, great sign, great talent behind the stick.”

“Cold baklava is to die for. The pistachio taste and its combination with cold milky syrup was outstanding. Sugarbellies (Şekerpare) was a disappointment, did not feel like homemade, it was doughy. The burma baklava was okay but did not get the nut taste quite a lot. The tea was fresh and amazing. Unfortunately, baked goods, simit and pogaca was stale, not fresh.”
“Great class very informative about chocolate and fun making the truffles.”

“Yalllll ….. this pizza joint is amazing. We landed in Boston on a Saturday night and were desperate to find a place to eat. We parked in front and the smell of the pizza was mouthwatering.
Super friendly guys!!!
The meat lovers pizza was SUPER delicious & the Greek salad we ordered was great.
The brownies were bomb!!
Clearly it’s a local fave bc they were pretty busy but quick and timely.? worth the flight from Texas lol”

“I have many good memories of the Cambridge location from my time as a graduate student, so this was my first visit to the Charlestown location with fairly high expectations.
The onion and tomato pizza was just okay. The bread felt overly soaked in the sauce and lost its texture, which was disappointing, especially given the many positive things I’ve heard about the pizza here.
The Akbar Mashti cheesecake (pistachio & saffron) was good—very dense and moist. The pistachio cheesecake layer was nicely thick, though we felt it could be even better with more pistachio crunch on top to add textural contrast.
The flat white was under-extracted, quite acidic, with a grassy flavor. Our biggest concern, however, was that our hot coffee was served in a disposable cup (a paper cup with a plastic layer inside) even though we ordered to dine in. We are a bit concerned about food safety, and mugs would be more appropriate for in-store service.
Overall, today’s experience was a bit disappointing. I’ve previously enjoyed their burrata pesto sandwich, croissant, savory scone, and matcha pound cake, which were all quite good.”

“Beverages we're served fast, food was super slow. Friendly staff, but struggling with efficiency. I marked atmosphere down a little because the the waiting customers were getting irritated by their long waits.”

“Asia Mei is easily one of the best Chefs in Boston. I've eaten here several times, but I can't believe that I haven't written a review before now! My husband and I had brunch at moonshine 152 last weekend and told friends about it. Next thing you know, the four of us were in there around noon time today having brunch again. We shared three starters, alongside sharing all four entrées and everything, I mean everything was to die for! Ms Asia herself delivered some of our plates and she is just as delightful as she is talented. Needless to say, dinner is amazing here as well. The vibe in the restaurant is so easy and you can tell that the staff get along very well together. What I can't believe is how this place wasn't fully packed today or last weekend even. Definitely a good amount of patrons, but I've had brunch at places that are hard to get into and left much less satisfied.”

“An absolutely fantastic dining experience at Giulia. This is the kind of place that reminds you why great Italian restaurants are so special—thoughtful dishes, incredible flavors, and an atmosphere that feels both intimate and memorable.
Every dish we had was outstanding. The seafood pasta special with seabass and calamari was exceptional—perfectly prepared and packed with flavor. The squash appetizer was another highlight and set the tone for a meal where every course felt carefully crafted and unique. From start to finish, the food was creative, balanced, and simply delicious.
The service matched the quality of the food—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming without ever feeling rushed. It’s exactly the kind of experience you hope for when dining at a private Italian restaurant where the focus is clearly on great food and great hospitality.
To cap it all off, the post-meal limoncellos were excellent and the perfect finish to a memorable dinner.
If you enjoy Italian cuisine that’s both authentic and inventive, Giulia is an absolute must-visit.”
