“I got the turkey club it could have been better. It was skimpy on the turkey and didn’t taste like oven roasted turkey. The fries could have been better. For a upscale restaurant should have better food and larger portions. The French mousse was delicious the best part of the food. So shape up if you want customers to come back.“

“Bistro du Midi is a great place for French traditional cuisine with a twist. The menu is well curated with a few standard dishes of seafood and French entrees, and a seasonal tasting menu you can also choose individual dishes from. We really enjoyed the Halibut, the beet gnocchi and the passion fruit soufflé (which is definitely worth the 15 minute wait). The service was a bit bizarre, waiters kept rushing us to finish our food which you wouldn’t expect paying 100+ per person and a rather late table (there was no one coming after us). Atmosphere is decent, downstairs and outside is definitely the better pick if you get to choose.Overall, would go again because ingredient quality is great and maybe we just got unlucky with the waiters.“

“La Voile offers a cozy and trendy atmosphere with excellent service and classic French cuisine. The portions come with the fine dining territory, but the quality is outstanding.Extended: Nestled in a charming setting, La Voile exudes an air of elegance and sophistication, making it a delightful destination for those seeking classic French cuisine. From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism, setting the tone for a memorable dining experience. The restaurant's ambiance is cozy yet trendy, with stylish decor and a welcoming atmosphere. The attention to detail is evident in every aspect, from the carefully curated wine list to the impeccably presented dishes. While the portions at La Voile may be smaller than some diners are accustomed to, the quality more than makes up for it. Each dish is beautifully plated (though I was unable to capture the excellence on camera) and bursting with flavor.I would like to note that the liver pâté was served generously but with a slight oversight in the amount of accompanying bread. However, this minor hiccup did not detract from the overall excellence of our meal. The menu at La Voile offers a range of classic French dishes, each prepared with care and attention to detail. From the rich and decadent sauces to the perfectly cooked proteins, every bite was a delight.La Voile is a charming restaurant that excels in both service and cuisine. While the portions may be small, the quality is exceptional, making it a perfect choice for those who appreciate quality over quantity.“

“When visiting a French restaurant expectations are high. The food tends to be exquisite and some dishes are here. The Foie Gras is amazing and so are all the deserts we tried. However the escargot which is something I always try at French restaurants was only ok.The service varies on who your server is as we had friends who came to the restaurant after we sat and we ordered before they even got their menus and yet they had their appetizers first. When looking for someone to call for a refill and even when we wanted the menus for desert, it is very difficult to catch anyone looking at your table as if each waiter will only look at their own table only. On the bright side they brought us water as soon as we sat and refilled it often. That is how I would get someone's attention...finish my water so someone could come by and I could ask for something. The place is very small and you will have to be a party of two and be lucky to get a table without a reservation, which is what happened with our friends..who came in a little after we sat and were hoping they could sit with us, but with such little space it seemed unlikely they would even be able to get a table but as they were asking a table for two was leaving. Its rather on the expensive side which can be understood with the quality of some of the dishes, however I would except everything to be great for these prices. Its a good place with potential to be great.“

“It's been awhile since we'd eaten at Elephant Walk and my wife & I realized how much we missed it!The menu is unique, combining French & Cambodian dishes in a very tasty way. We always order the Rouleaux (a variation on a spring roll that you roll yourself) for a starter. Other favorites include Amok Royale & Curry of Shrimp Crevettes. The wine list has a great selection, though it leans a bit pricey. I wouldn't skip dessert; we had a flourless chocolate cake. Service was friendly & pitch-perfect. On-street parking is very easy and it's not a far walk from Back Bay Orange Line station or the Silver Line bus. We won't wait so long to return!“

He was very attentive but let us set the pace, he was always available to attend to our needs but we never felt rushed. He recognized that we were celebrating a birthday and had a dessert sent to our table, complete with a candle, so that we could celebrate in style. The food and drinks were prepared to perfection, as always, but it was Leni who truly made the night special for us. I highly recommend Mistral for special occasions, as well as weeknight dining (their pizzas are awesome) and highly commend Leni for his superb service.“

The food was perfect in every way which does not happen frequently and when it does – it is a great experience. The cavatelli was outstanding. Same with the porkchops. The deserts were great too. The manager too was extremely nice and offered us some very helpful advice on the venue itself. All said, this is a place that one can keep going back to.Parking: Generally enough spots except during weekends“

“They had a Nowruz celebration thing that we attended. They served this wonderful 4 course meal. It was like the distillation of Persian food. Thy really get the authentic flavors but in new preparations. Like this take on "Ash Reshteh" that was a cold soup with bright herbal flavors and squid rings. Or their "Ab Goosht" was a cross between a smoky burger and a lamb "Mahiche".Such great experience.“

“It’s been a long time since I last dined here and it was just as amazing as I remember. We loved all of the food here—excellent and of a high caliber. We started with the oysters which were (I think) the best oysters I’ve ever had. They brought out bread afterwards with freshly scooped butter. Might be some of the best rolls and butter I’ve had too. The bread, lightly salted on top, was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The butter, which melts into the bread as you spread it, had notes of honey in it too adding an extra sweetness. Top tier. All of the entrees were stellar, and one thing I loved was how appropriate the portion sizes were. We finished everything and were content without being overly full. The steak was cooked and seasoned to perfection with mashed potatoes. The creamy carbonara was flavorful with the squash. The branzino was also cooked perfectly and came with tasty sides. And lastly the scallops had a great sauce and went well with the mushrooms. We tried the date cake and chocolate soufflé for dessert but it wasn’t anything crazy or over the top. They don’t have a pastry chef.Lastly I’ll comment on the decor as the vibe was quiet and nice with fun pictures hanging around. The back door is also connected to a speakeasy!“

“Rochambeau was a great hidden gem! We loved the atmosphere upstairs at the brassiere. Very French— nice lighting, mini palms, beautiful bar out of the 1920s, large windows, full view of the kitchen behind a glass wall. I’m not sure if we came in thru the “main entrance”, because the street level entry room was virtually empty. But don’t let that throw you.Delicious drinks in small French cocktail glasses. I had “Thief of the Mountain” which was a cross between an Old Fashioned and a Manhattan. Nice wines available by the glass. The food was excellent. We had octopus, lamb, and soup for apps. Then duck, salmon, mussels, and pasta bolognese for dinner. All were delicious! 4 drinks & 4 meals for under $300 (before tip).Highly recommended!“

“Dinner at a place like No. 9 Park is more of a total experience than a meal. Your whole night will be thoughtfully considered- delivered through a very personal level of service. The wine list is extensive and the servers and sommelier have always offered bangers, even given constraints on preference and cost. My wife and I are plant based eaters, but we are treated as 1st class citizens by a restaurant that could easily give us the cold shoulder. When dining on the tasting menu, you will be presented with dish after dish of well prepared items that are as beautiful to look at as they are appetizing to eat. Seasonal options will be on offer, so be sure to keep an eye out- such as the fresh black truffle upgrade- and the ambience of a cozy-but-elegant side room with a view of the park will only enhance the meal. No. 9 Park is holding the candle in terms of fine French style dining experiences in Boston, so if you're looking for that kind of energy, this is your spot.“
