“This was one of the most amazing dining experiences I have ever had. It was all perfect. Atmosphere, service and food all perfect. There really is not much more to say. I felt like I was scamming them for how inexpensive it was. I want to come back here just for this.“
“You have to reserve a table. We waited for 20 min before they asked us what we wanted. And what was frustrating was, the table next to us came ten minutes after us. Was asked what they would like before us.The food was excellent! The prices were more than fair.I’m glad I went and tried them.“
“We both had the day off and wanted some time out in a downtown that wasn't as busy as Salem so we headed to Marblehead. We chose Le Ros in advance because they had a great lunch menu with lots of options and, even better, the chance to try a few things at once. We ate late so it was basically empty. The staff was welcoming and attentive. My husband ordered the unagi box and I had the vegetarian. We enjoyed both a great deal. The restaurant is lovely and off of Atlantic so it was quiet and calm. We will definitely go back to try more of what the menu has to offer. Try the fresh lemon/limeade!“
“Small place with some fantastic flavors! Really wasn't expecting the level of food and service we got when visiting. Everything from the dumplings to the drinks was special. Nice cozy place tucked away, but once you find it you need to become a regular!“
“Mine and my daughter’s favorite place. We normally get the bbq pork banh mi sandwich but we’ve had the beef satay (pictured)..both delicious! Rice plates soo good. Smoothies are great! If we could get them all the time, we would! Highly recommend checking them out.“
“Kokeshi is in residency with Bambolina (a wood-fired pizza joint, also delicious) and it's perfect! My husband and I (and our puppy, Dexter) stopped in for lunch on Wednesday and were treated to a wonderful meal with an awesome server and comfortable outdoor seating. I had the Spicy White Kimchi Ramen and my husband had the Margherita pizza. Both were amazing! I highly recommend stopping in when in Salem!“
“I tried Soi8 for the first time and it was delicious! I have had sushi all over the world and this is some of the best! The Tuna Tataki was a great start! And the Sex on the Beach roll was amazing! I like spicy tuna and this was just perfect! I plan to bring family, friend and clients here!!Parking: I parked right out front.“
“This is my go to sushi spot. If you're looking for a specialty roll, you need to try the sakura. Hands down the best roll I've ever had. The restraunt is extremely clean and warm. The staff are welcoming, and there is often a pianist playing some music.“
“They ALWAYS do such a great job with the quality, quantity and presentation of their food. Not to mention, their customer service is always top notch! We had a Christmas party and they kindly arranged the sushi on two big platters for us and also made sure the Uber Eats driver knew to be careful with our order because the sushi could easily move around inside the platters before it reached our house. I’ve never had a bad experience or meal from here. A regular customer for life!“
“Authentic and exotic. The Thai beef salad was incredible. The skewers are delicious very flavorful. The Khmer spring rolls are delicate and fantastic. I couldn't order enough they are like crack lol The food paired excellently with the brewery right beside it. The Galaxy IPA from East Regiment beer company was the best ipa I’ve had in Mass. This spot for food and beer is a must in Salem“
“From the host to the server to the scallion pancakes, everything was delightful. The food was really yummy, I'll come back just for the scallion pancakes but I enjoyed the bao, the sushi, and the fried pickles! We liked everything we ordered, and we came hungry. I wish I'd ordered a meal to go to eat on the way home. I would eat here once a week if I was local!“
“Third time came here. Ordered steamed egg with minced meat, fresh and soft taste. Fish fillet with double pepper with noodles, highly recommended if love spicy ?️ food. Cumin beef, good taste but a little bit too dry and some of them not 100% fresh, might not order again.“
“Salem, MA, is an enchanting city that boasts a rich tapestry of history, intriguing social narratives, and an air of mystery. This city is renowned for its iconic landmarks, exceptional dining spots, and vibrant bars. I had the pleasure of being invited for a beer at one of its notable establishments, although I was cautioned that it leans more towards cocktails. The Dire Wolf not only met but surpassed my expectations. With a soundtrack featuring the likes of Peter Gabriel, Pink Floyd, and INXS, the ambiance is undeniably steeped in classic rock vibes, setting the stage for a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The establishment is helmed by an incredibly knowledgeable and welcoming host, and the offerings are complemented by fresh, quality ingredients - albeit generously portioned - that perfectly match the excellent and carefully curated selection of beers.Observing the surroundings, I noticed an atmosphere filled with good spirits, visually appealing and deliciously crafted cocktails. Indeed, the Dire Wolf stands out as a quintessential landmark in Salem, capturing the essence of the city's charm and vitality.“
“This place is near my home and quite convenient. I do like the food and find it quite tasty. The sushi variety is vast and the Chinese food is delicious and not overly cooked. I often order takeout. The atmosphere can feel cold and lonely so I think I might try sitting at the bar when I go there next. I know this is might feel minor but I am miffed that you have to buy white rice with dishes that normally come with rice, such as General Tso Chicken. And it's $4 so that's not to be taken lightly. So I don't order as often as I would like because my husband takes offense to this, as do I.“
“Kowloon is an institution. It is a tradition in my Italian American family to come here on special occasions (usually post-funeral). But after all these years we still have a great time. You come for the ambiance, but I was quite pleased with our Sunday lunch. The chicken fingers and wings were juicy and the beef teriyaki and ribs were not over cooked and very moist. The lunch specials are a great value and there is a nice variety of tiki drinks. Viva la Kowloon.“
“This place is well known for sushi and takeout food. If you haven't tried the eat-in experience, I recommend it. The eat-in feels slightly elevated, though the only negative to it is that it is so small inside and the staff has nowhere to be except for the bar, which can feel a bit like crowding (not their fault, it just is what it is). We specifically came for the duck, which we have had in the past. This time, we got the mango crispy duck, and it was A+, just perfectly cooked and crispy yet tender. We also got spicy dumplings, which was a special. We loved them. In addition, we had the lo mein, which was fair. It seemed a bit oily for my tastes and lacked flavor. The scallion pancakes were fine, but served with a soy based sauce and not a plum sauce, which isn't typical around here. The cheese Rangoon (crab) was ok too. Overall, I can say for certain we will be back for that duck and the sushi (didn't have it this time, but consistently some of the best around). The drinks are also well made.“
