“I have been going here since I was a little girl. After about a ten year gap due to moving we came back near home and George’s was one of my first stops last summer. My husband and I faithfully drive one hour weekly to get a lobster roll and some clam cakes and strips. This place does not disappoint and I am counting down the weeks until they reopen in March.“

“The first time I went to visit the Redwood was the early 80s; it's now known as George's Surf and Turf. I had never had an eastern fried whole clam and scallop basket before. Now it's all I can think about, I have not found anywhere in the United States, Europe or Mexico that can compare itself to the Redwood, George's Surf and Turf.I have since settled in Texas but I want to go back to Mendon's Redwood, George's Surf and Turf just for a Combination calm and scallop basket and lots of their tarter sauce... no fries, although tasty is not my interest.I might just go back next summer, 2024.To bad Redwood, George's Surf and Turf doesn't ship to Texas.Parking: Great parking, if anyone complains it is because they're too bitter and want to share it with strangers.“

“What an incredible little gem tucked away in North Smithfield. The food was impeccable, the service was top tier, the drinks were delicious, and the atmosphere was cozy.Plenty of menu options to choose from, with multiple chef specials to boot. I chose a special the day we went - Pasta Davina. Generous portions, and priced fairly. “Thought the waiter was top notch, we had 14 people in our party, a few provided feedback on what they ordered. The fish tacos were underwhelming, lacked flavor as did the chicken Marcello which was very bland. The fish and chips were a big surprise, large portion of fish, rather than the typical large portion of fries! My seafood with angle hair pasta was good, but a bit too much oil, and scollops were slightly over cooked, but I would order it again.“

“Great food, great value. The Cod Bruschetta and the New England Cod are outstanding! The Cod is fresh, the green beans are crisp and the mashed potatoes are pure comfort food. Everyone who has joined us at Black has really enjoyed the food, especially the sweet potato fries. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable.“

“Had lunch with family here. Heard the fish and chips were good. Brother and SIL order it and raved about it. Looked good. I had a chopped salad with a scoop of chicken salad on top. It was OK. “A lovely place for lunch or dinner, beautifully decorated with a smooth, relaxed vibe. The staff were attentive and welcoming and the food was amazing! I ordered the tuna tartare and it was amazing. Sliced tuna pieces were surrounded by cucumbers, an avocado cream sauce and a delicious spicy sauce, very much like a spicy mayo, served with wontons. I would recommend this to anyone who appreciated sushi, especially. My friend had a cheeseburger, which was made from perfection, medium rare. This place must be experienced.“

“Found my new breakfast place! First time ever trying it and it's a hidden gem for sure. Breakfast was excellent!!?I'm a tough critic when it comes to home fries, which at most places are bland. “Small but mighty. Unassuming little spot that serves fresh, delicious food. Service was great with our large group. The guacamole was the best I have ever had in a restaurant that wasn't in California or Texas. Margaritas are large and strong!“

“The food is delicious and they have a great person that works there. The food is good to the owner. I would highly recommend you if you can have some gluten-free or lactose intolerant items for those who need that like some kind of lactose, ice cream or sherbet and the ambience is always clean. I have to give that one more group, 100 out of 100 stars keep up the good work and to the owner. Definitely try to have two windows open one for food and one for ice cream. It'll make it much easier for those who are looking for the food and who don't have to be standing behind the ones for the ice cream. So they are still using one window for both ice cream and food they really need to have two windows because I came today and did not use two windows,“

“Yesterday I celebrated my birthday in Los Cabos, I want to emphasize that everything went well, however there are small details that could be improved to provide a 5-star service.I made the reservation for 11 people a week in advance, despite this, when we arrived we had to wait a couple of minutes to prepare the table. The waiter took our drink order but forgot to give us the glasses of water, which took about 15 minutes.One of my friends brought a cake and although it is true that I eat slowly, the waiter arrived with the cake when I had not finished dinner yet and I had to let them take my plate.As is common in restaurants to offer a candle for the cake, my friend didn't bring one but the restaurant didn't have a candle either, so singing the birthday didn't make much sense.Finally and as a recommendation, I think it would be a better experience if you wear a mariachi hat for the birthday child or do something more fun when singing.For all these reasons, I rated my experience as 4 stars since the food was delicious, it's a shame I didn't finish my dinner.“

The only reason this was not 5 stars was that we felt it could use more seasoning. “First time dining at this restaurant. We met another couple being a place that was half way between us. My wife and I had traditional Italian comfort food. The other couple had some fish dishes. Their dishes looked amazing and interesting presentations. My wife's very much enjoyed her eggplant rollatini and my Italian combo plate was very much as expected. Our friends had salmon primavera, and haddock & shrimp Francese. Although we enjoyed our meals, we envied our friends. All our meals included a salad and pasta. The service was very good. Plenty of easy parking. Right off the highway. Prices were attractive. I give this restaurant a solid four stars. In the lounge, there is a fireplace with evidence of a recent real wood fire. Overall, I enjoyed our night out at Gia Ristorante Italiano, and will be back soon.“

“We were in the area today (1/13/24) and found this restaurant online. The atmosphere was a flashback to the diners of old, which we loved. The food was good as well. What really impressed us was the server. This young lady was the best server we have had in many years.“

Delicious chowders, especially the seafood chowder that has lobster, shrimp, fish, clam and is soooo good! They have daily lunch specials and food for the non seafood loving population. Awesome chili cheese dogs! Huge ice cream selection. Classic drinks like a raspberry lime rickey or root beer floats. Restaurant is always clean. The staff is friendly. You can pay with a card but bring cash to tip. Those behind the counter work hard. Especially the ice cream scooping, multitasking, order taking and grabbing counter staff. Kitchen has always been consistent for the years I've been going. Indoor and outdoor seating. Definitely recommend!“
