“My recent visit to Olive's Coffee & Bakehouse in Newburyport, MA, was an absolute delight, and I'm excited to share my experience. From the moment I stepped inside, I was enchanted by the charming decor, which creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. It's clear that every detail has been thoughtfully curated to ensure a cozy and pleasant visit. One of the highlights of my visit was discovering their mint matcha latte - a refreshing and innovative twist on the classic matcha latte. It was perfectly balanced, offering a delightful combination of flavors that I hadn't experienced before. This drink alone is worth a visit! The staff at Olive's Coffee & Bakehouse deserves a special mention for their friendliness and excellent service. They were attentive, welcoming, and genuinely seemed to enjoy their work, which added to the overall positive ambiance of the cafe. The food was nothing short of fantastic. The pastries and breakfast options were plentiful and all looked tempting. I particularly enjoyed the chia seed pudding and the frittata, both of which were flavorful, fresh, and satisfying. The chia seed pudding was the perfect blend of texture and taste, while the frittata was cooked to perfection, packed with ingredients that melded together wonderfully.Overall, Olive's Coffee & Bakehouse is a gem in Newburyport. It's the perfect spot for anyone looking for delicious food, great drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're a local or just passing through, make sure to stop by for a truly delightful experience. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!“
“I got the most beautiful and delicious cake from Buttermilk. I was stunned by the gorgeous cakes they had ready for sale, and got the lemon raspberry cake with macrons on top. It was soooo gorgeous, and tasted as good as it looked! The friend I got it for was so excited and happy. I will definitely get my future cakes from Buttermilk!“
“A gem in the middle of Newburyport. We were looking for a great vegetarian/ gluten free dinner since we had guests staying at our house for the weekend . The chef, Mary created the most amazing dinner for four. The first course was a paper thin sliced beet salad followed by a vegan pancake with baby white turnips and a “ feta” cheese to make wraps. They were great . We then had dumplings filled with pumpkin and finally sautéed cabbage, tomato and chicory. Last, dessert was sugar free coconut ice cream and a strawberry and rhubarb compote . Mary served everything personally . We ate outside in a courtyard type space with strung lights. A charming setting. Very few tables and everything is custom so call ahead .“
“Liked my time here! Even though we sat at the bar and the entire place was super crowded, the service was pretty efficient. The cocktails were made in front of our eyes and were very tasty and definitely not watered down like in some other places (we took Irish coffees). The lobster rangoons were also pretty good!“
“Great find in Newburyport! Delicious sandwiches, friendly, much bigger inside than you would expect from the entrance and easy parking! What more could you want? On top of all that the prices are truly reasonable, rarely found in this town!“
“I love Dianne's Fine Desserts so much, especially the lemon squares! This place is definitely worth checking out if you need to bring desserts somewhere. The prices are good, the desserts are amazing and if you buy slices of cakes it's buy one get one! Who can say no to two pieces of cake for the price of one!Parking: Tons of parking out frontKid-friendliness: Yes, but it's small inside and there isn't anything for them to do other than pick out a treat and eat at a little table.“
“5 stars. From the hostess seating us to the extremely pleasant watergirl to our fabulous and knowledgeable waiter it was top notch. We had a brown suger Colada which was awesome and had a nice kick. Then came the food- spectacular! Hot,fresh large portions and incredibly tasty. Sunday nights they also have a wonderful jazz pianist. Coming back next month!“
“Great place to work, with free wifi and sockets available! I loved! It makes all the difference! Good coffee and delicious pastries! A very sophisticated and at the same time cozy environment! I already added it to my list of offices on the “
“Pizza was amazing, we had the oregano and margarita pizzas. Pizza is on the thinner side of the Pizza dough spectrum. Perfect combo of crispy and chewy. Also, this place had the best baba ganoush ever. I've had baba ganoush in Washington DC, New York city, and plenty of small towns and Oreganos by far beats the competition. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for amazing Pizza, appetizers, and entrees. Lovely owner, managers, and staff all around.“
“The best bagels in the north shore in my opinion. French toast, plain, all flavor and asiago are always extremely fresh (almost as if they're baked within the hour) #1 - bacon, egg, tomato w/ ghost pepper cheese is great with adding ham. Sausage, egg and cheese on a french toast is the holy grail. French toast bagel with walnut maple cream cheese is a delicious breakfast option.“
