“Such a fabulous restaurant. Few things are better than dining outside on their balcony when the weather is nice. The food is exceptional, including the gorgonzola steak which is my favorite steak dish anywhere. The pasta dishes are also great. But what I love most is the helpful and efficient and, importantly, *non-pretentious* attitudes of the staff. That will be refreshing to some who are more used to another Italian restaurant in Northampton, which shall not be named. Mulino's is the best!”

There's a great beer and wine selection, interesting cocktails, and I do believe that these were the best French fries I've ever had in my life. I look forward to going back!”

“My dad and I ate here last night before a show at Academy Music. Akasia was our server and we loved her. Our food was the best meal we have ever had together in all of our foodie ventures and we wish it was closer so we could go back. The steak tips were cut in house and resembled filet. The scallops were so good we got a second order. The salad was delicate but really great. My dad got the salmon and he is very picky on salmon, but it was incredible and he was delighted we made the choice to go there. I wish the oysters on the half shell were bigger, but the rest made up for it. My dad is in a wheelchair and everyone was super accommodating. Akasia was on point and knew we had a time crunch and accommodated that and also took some nice photos of us together. Great mock-tails and atmosphere was a 10. Hopefully one day soon we can make it back.”

“As a restaurant professional I say this is one of the BEST brunches I have ever been to. There are pastries, seafood, breakfasts breads, breakfast meats, egg dishes, omlets made to order, carved meats and desserts. Service was prompt and gracious.”

“Spoleto‘s Continues to provide outstanding cuisine. We have been customers since Spoleto was located on the south end of Main Street up to it’s latest iteration next to the railroad station. The food is great, the parking is free, the wait staff are excellent and all is good. Since all good food requires time in preparation when it doesn’t come out of a frozen locker; the wait time can be longer than McDonald’s, however, nothing better than sitting and sipping while waiting. A great New England experience.”

“Hubby and I love dining on the patio of the Coolidge Park Cafe at the Hotel Northampton at least once or twice a season. Normally the food is good, just good. But last night it was stellar. Hubby had the pan seared wild caught salmon over polenta with fried Brussels sprouts and I had the pan seared wild caught scallops over mushroom risotto and asparagus spears. Everything was absolutely delicious. I haven't had a decent scallop in years, but these really tasted of scallops and the sea with a great texture. The risotto was so rich and mushroomy I can see I'm going to have to make a special broth and buy a bunch of mushrooms to try making one myself. We shared the lemon tart which also knocked our socks off. The server was equally stellar, thoroughly professional and delightful at the same time. We'll be back before snow flies for sure!

“The theme of this place is Role playing games and adventures. One of the best gaming selections I have ever seen, even compared to dedicated gaming shops. On top of that all most any drink they serve can be made vegan. This breakfast burritos are vegan. And in thw afternoon the focacias are vegan. Overall I highly recommend”

“What can I say? This restaurant is an institution. There is no Indian food like it in the United States. Truly authentic and delicious, extremely reasonable prices, perfect ambiance, and wonderfully hospitable. The staff are very kind, personal, and professional. Whether it be Kerala fish curry, puri bhaji from Mumbai, or tandoori chicken, the food covers a vast array of Indian dishes from many regions of the country, with the dinner and lunch buffet alike being plentifully tasty and fulfilling. The atmosphere of the restaurant itself is full of community, with many people, from college students to retirees, coming together to enjoy a feast under its roof. As someone who has a deep appreciation of Indian cuisine, I can honestly say that this is some of the best Indian food you will ever find. There are simply no words to do justice to the experience of eating at Bombay Royale and I could not recommend it more highly.”

Lo and behold Shelburne Falls Coffee Roasters was a four minute walk from our AirBnB! Delicious sunrise smoothies, latte, Americano, breakfast sandwiches, scones and the cherry on top- a rad t shirt to support the Trevor Project! We will definitely be visiting again!”

“Not a safe place to sit inside

The drinks and food are pretty good, however I don't feel safe however to sit down and enjoy my beverage inside. Last time I was there I noticed a large group of (possibly ) homeless people doing drugs in the back seating area. I watched this happen multiple times over a 2 hour span and an employee kept walking by and did nothing about it. I had to bring my stuff with me to the bathroom because I was afraid it would get stolen.”

“Tart Baking Co. is such a wonderful spot in Northampton. Everything they bake is beautiful to look at—truly a visual feast before you even take a bite! It’s a step up from your standard coffee shop, offering high-quality, artisanal treats that feel entirely reasonable for the gorgeous piece of artwork you are consuming. Their cookies are phenomenal, and the croissants are perfectly flaky and plentiful.

The customer service is great: kind, gentle, and efficient. The space itself is small, cute, and very polished. While they do have a few seats, it’s best suited for a quick, delightful pop-in to grab an excellent latte and a pastry.

Beyond treating yourself, this is my absolute go-to spot in town to buy sweet gifts for others. If you are visiting a friend or want to bring someone a thoughtful, lovely treat, Tart is the perfect place to go!”
