“We stopped in here a couple weeks ago after I took my dad to a doctor's appointment. The girl's in the office were ordering take out for their lunch. I said to my dad lets try this place not knowing the area. Well , one lunch and we were sold. The following weekend we brought the whole family and I think there was a dozen of us and we all had a great meal. I had the best steamers you can get. I was so pleased. The bartender was super friendly and efficient. We don't live near by and my 89 year old dad asks to go there once a week. Congratulations to this couple for running a successful restaurant. It's not easy and you've definitely done a great job. Wishing you much success in the future.“

“I went for the veterans free dinner and upgraded my meal with the extra sides. I got a seafood chowder that was supposed to have shrimp, clams, and schrod in it, but it was almost void of all the seafood. It was more like a milky potato soup with a seafood flavor. On the plus side though the petite dessert was very good and much bigger than expected. I would go back again because the experience was not that bad overall.“

“My Fiancé and I came here for the first time recently and we were blown away! We ordered the steak tips and fish & chips, both entrees were incredible. “This is what a diner should be. Friendly staff and the chef's are happy. You can tell the food is made with love. I happened to be close, so I figured I would give it a try. I'm happy I did. I had an english muffin with bacon, egg, and cheese. The home fries are very good. They leave the skin on, which makes them extra tasty. I will definitely be back.“

“Enjoyed an early lunch here with a friend. Somewhat empty when we got there but it filled up a bit around noon.The staff was very friendly and attentive. Gave us great service with a smile. “I'll admit it -- we are those people. The ones who weren't going to go out on Valentine's Day until we decided we were. And it turns out we weren't the only ones. The place is frequented by regulars for sure with a bar on one side and a slightly more formal sit down dining room on the other. When we arrived we waited for about 10 minutes and were seated at a high top near the bar area. During this time another couple got frustrated with the single waitress to be seen after she dropped off some food to them. This couple was not empathetic at all and then expressed that to the waitress in a condescending tone on what was probably one of the busiest nights there. The same woman was our waitress and it was clear she was running around from dining room to bar room without a single moment to catch her breath. She did great! Obviously the kitchen was swamped too but we knew to adjust our expectations accordingly for timing. Food was delicious, incredible value. Calamari was a generous portion and could definitely be a small family appetizer on its own. My husband commented that you will not find a steak for less than $35 in the area and I think this one was $25 or so? Truffle fries were excellent. I got the bolognese and it was comforting and a big portion. We'll definitely come back on a less busy night but overall it was a good experience!“

“The chicken parmesan was delicious. Wondering if their marinara sauce is home-made or bought...? I had small size portion and it was a really large piece of battered boneless chicken. Next time I'll order the large size and bring home what I cannot eat....Again, the sauce was delicious.“

“My fiancé and I moved to Weymouth a few months ago and one of the first places we went to eat was Johnny Kono's. At first, we were thrown off by how few tables there were, but once we settled in and the food started coming, it has become one of our favorite places to eat. The El Chapo wings are some of the best we've ever had, great spice and flavor with a some acidity to tie it all together. The burgers are incredible, even the Louis lunch burger, which although very simple, always is delicious. They really live up to their claim of being a "Five Star Dive Bar." We're excited to keep coming back and trying more menu items.“

“I’ve lived in NE (Rhode Island, Maine, Boston) on and off for 7 years (I travel for work and live in my location 3 months- 12 months a year). Yesterday I finally got back in NE after driving from the Midwest. I stopped here today after I got settled (lucky me it’s 5 mins from where I am staying). Maybe I just missed NE seafood, but this lobster roll was soooooooo good! 10/10. Might come back next week ?the potato salad was also pretty darn good! I had 2 different blueberry drinks, also 10/10. The real treat was not knowing there was a store next door with all kinds of seafood, sides and anything else you could want. I’ll definitely be back! The price was fair, the food was great and I enjoyed sitting at the bar as a solo female. Bartenders were attentive. “I've been coming here with my grandparents since the early 2000's way before the renovation into the other part of the strip mall and I haven't been disappoints once by the food or service! The waitresses and owner are always welcoming and are always helpful while you're there eating. They deserve all of the customers they get and I plan on always coming during a weekend I come back home!If you haven't had a chance to try Alexander's yet I would highly recommend you give it a chance!Parking: Depending on the time you go, you will get your parking. If there is t any room in the strip mall parking area, there is always a side street to park on legally to go in and eat or pick up your food.“

“Oh yeah, I recommend the Grove Street Tavern. The two bar pizzas we ordered were incredible. Came out of the oven piping hot. Talking about anticipation, eh? The steam coming off the pizza brought a cacophony of scents to my head. Ground chourice and red pepper. Nice crust that held up well to the toppings. My bud ordered a mushroom and green pepper pie. We reluctantly shared. The veggies and cheese combo with that crust was insane. The sauce was just enough for my liking. The beverage list was a hit when I saw one of my top brews, a Fiddlehead IPA brewed in Vermont. Ordered one up. I also tried a local brew, but this essay is not a beverage review, but i know what satisfies me. Can this joint get any better? Friendly and efficient hosts answering your questions, taking your orders, getting your drinks. Small business where the customer is both treated well and fed well. I know that I only had a pizza, but that is what I came here for. Maybe I'll try another menu item on my next visit, maybe not. Looks small from the parking lot but very qwell laid out inside. Clean and comfortable bar. Adequate space to move around. I suggest that you check it out for yourself. I might see you there because I will be back to GST. Addendum: As expected, I returned came 2 days later. This visit, i had them configure a sausage and green pepper pie. Marvelous. Nothing more to say besides try Grove Street Tavern for yourselves.“

“Went out for drinks and lunch with my niece and aunts. Our waitress, Meagan, was very good. To be honest, I would return merely for her. However, the meal was also excellent. Despite being an appetizer, I had the poutine for dinner, and it was more than sufficient. We were pleasantly surprised by the taste of every drink we ordered. I intend to come back shortly. ❤️“

“Been coming here since the VERY early 70's. We used to get ice cream here as kids. I remember a bunch of us in H.S. getting their "H-Bomb Neutralizer" gigantic ice cream specialty. As good as it was, there was no way we could finish it. Breakfasts here can't be beat. Excellent coffee and the best breakfast sausage around! Waitstaff (especially Barbara) very attentive and friendly. I vaguely remember there being a second location in Brockton, but I don't think we ever went to that one. This place is the real deal! “D'Angelos Easton. I eat there almost every Thursday evening and get my usual terriaki steak sub. As always, it is perfect. The employees there are the nicest, most polite bunch of people. I am impressed that no matter how busy as it gets, these young adults always have this place running like a finely tuned watch. My food is always ready when I get there. “Driving up, my first impression was that the place was closed; the windows were dark and it was difficult to figure out which door was the entrance. The signage was confusing and had two business names including "O'Leary's Pub." We went in and the place was neat and well organized although somewhat dated and a bit worn down and old (sort of like most of the patrons the average age of which was probably 75). There was also an unused stage--damned shame since I love live music. BUT... To me, the food and the service matter the most since that's what we were there for! The server was very friendly and prompt, and we ordered a tuna melt and pot roast--both were delicious! So I'm giving this one 5 stars.“

“We booked a rehearsal dinner here. Food and service were great. As a former function manager, the head chef was very unprofessional. He should not be the main point of contact to book a function. My mother in law sent a cc for deposit information months in advance to which she received no response. Since she was in charge of the rehearsal dinner I did not check back in until closer to the date. I emailed John to confirm the menu to which his response was "You never sent a deposit" etc. all using accusatory words. I immediately sent over the email my mother in law forwarded me with the deposit information she sent 5 months prior to which she received no response. Had I known there was no response I would have called sooner. I called after John's email and spoke to Eric who was a great help. All was fixed and went well, but please have another point of contact for functions who is equipped to speak with the general public. There were so many ways to go about speaking with the bride and John's approach was not one of them.“

“Our party of 20 had an excellent dining experience. Our waitress was hands down incredible! She was pleasant and not a bit flustered or overwhelmed. I was expecting a decent wait for our food considering the large size of our party but I was pleasantly surprised! We had 3 large tables and each table had drinks at the same time, all 3 tables had our appetizers at the same time, and all 3 tables had our food brought out at the same time. That alone is impressive, but the wait was no longer than you would normally expect. The food was great and hot. 20 meals and not a single complaint! “Steak tips were amazing, cooked perfect and so flavorful. French fries and moons of mozzarella were good, you can tell the fryer oil is clean from a good fry color. Great atmosphere with a few TVs with sports on good music and plenty of space to spread out. Completely expected it to be bar food, but was really surprised that it was fresh ingredients and a wide menu with options.The chicken and waffles for $15 was really good. “Warren’s is a local joint, with a bar, tables and booths. Known for its bar pizza and pub fare like burgers, tips, etc. It’s usually a good place to grab a quick bite, comfort food, with a relaxed pub atmosphere. Food tonight was good with a few hiccups. I ordered Beef Barley Soup and got Beef Stew. I like beef stew too so I just ate it. ( it was good). I also had a blt which was very good with tons of bacon. My wife ordered a salad and pepperoni pizza. Her pizza was good but a little greasy and her salad had a lot of brown wilted lettuce. She removed it and did not eat it. None of these bumps in the road would prevent me from returning.Dietary restrictions: I try and eat GF when I can but didn’t see any GF options on the menu like GF pizza or GF bread orrolls.“

The fish and chips we had here are the absolute best we've ever had. They were so delicious, and cooked perfectly! The portions were generous as well. It may be awhile before we try other foods on their menu because we'll want to keep ordering the fish and chips! “Monstah Burgers doesn’t do this justice. Got a portobello mushroom burger on focaccia bread and it was simply awesome. My son got a Texas Toast Burger melt and my other son the classic burger. And my wife with a BLT on Foccia shared it was outstanding. Certainly worth every penny. Food always outstanding with the generous portions and fries in a basket. Can’t say enough about the food and the service was super friendly.“
