Went with the Ultimate pizza. Good amount of toppings, didn't specify, but it was cooked well done. Decent overall taste. Some grease to be expected from the meat toppings. Sauce is okay. Crust had a good crunch along the edges and flavorful. Pretty sure the edges are laced. Very little flop. Ran the numbers on my scoring system and the pizza gets a Google 4, 6.5 out of ten on the scale.“

He took his time with my order and respected me being indecisive on the choice of selection of food. He was very respectful and calm talking, and I never felt rushed or uneasy. I have grown up in the cape cod/ southern MA area my whole life and I felt like I had tried most of the good bar style pizza places and somehow this one slipped through the cracks.We ordered 7 pizzas for a large group and everything came out PERFECTLY cooked. It didn't matter if the pizza had a bunch of toppings (gold fever chicken, pineapple, and bacon) or simply cheese, the crust was crispy, buttery and delicious, the cheese was perfectly browned and all of the ingredients were clearly high quality. We were nervous that all of the toppings on some may make it difficult to eat but each piece held its own and the ratios of everything were spot on!Not only was everything delicious but the prices are reasonable, the service was immaculate and everything about J's Flying Pizza has me wanting to come back for more. “Let me start with I was not very happy with the sandwich I received, when I arrived back to my work I opened up my meatball sub and it was cold, I wish that the clerk had told me that we are just opening up and the meatballs are still not ready. But what could I do I was a good 20 minutes away, so I ate it cold. The meatball sandwich was still delicious even though it was not hot. That is why I still have it a 5 star for the flavor of this sandwich but not the service I received. I will definitely try again hopefully the balls will be hot.“
“I'll admit it -- we are those people. The ones who weren't going to go out on Valentine's Day until we decided we were. And it turns out we weren't the only ones. The place is frequented by regulars for sure with a bar on one side and a slightly more formal sit down dining room on the other. When we arrived we waited for about 10 minutes and were seated at a high top near the bar area. During this time another couple got frustrated with the single waitress to be seen after she dropped off some food to them. This couple was not empathetic at all and then expressed that to the waitress in a condescending tone on what was probably one of the busiest nights there. The same woman was our waitress and it was clear she was running around from dining room to bar room without a single moment to catch her breath. She did great! Obviously the kitchen was swamped too but we knew to adjust our expectations accordingly for timing. Food was delicious, incredible value. Calamari was a generous portion and could definitely be a small family appetizer on its own. My husband commented that you will not find a steak for less than $35 in the area and I think this one was $25 or so? Truffle fries were excellent. I got the bolognese and it was comforting and a big portion. We'll definitely come back on a less busy night but overall it was a good experience!“

“Called in a order on our way home to Maine from visiting family on Cape Cod. Ordering was easy and the girl on the phone was super nice. Easy access from off of Rt. 24. Staff was very friendly. Bathroom was wicked clean. Prices were super fair and appropriate.We had ordered a grilled chicken salad and a large pepperoni pizza. Everything was ready to go when we got there. Pizza was perfect size, places often skimp on the size of their larges, but not here, a true large pizza! Dough was amazing and obviously fresh. Pizza was cooked evenly and well. Also, for a pepperoni pizza, which is greasy by nature, it was minimally greasy. Cheese was of great quality and not some of the cheep overly greasy junk you get some places. Salad was extremely fresh, no soggy tomatoes, crisp green peppers, served with a fresh pita, and the Greek dressing was AMAZING. Chicken was sliced up in a perfect size and was fresh and delicious.We travel a lot and have been let down before on pizza places, but this place is a gem and 10/10 will absolutely return.“
“Oh yeah, I recommend the Grove Street Tavern. The two bar pizzas we ordered were incredible. Came out of the oven piping hot. Talking about anticipation, eh? The steam coming off the pizza brought a cacophony of scents to my head. Ground chourice and red pepper. Nice crust that held up well to the toppings. My bud ordered a mushroom and green pepper pie. We reluctantly shared. The veggies and cheese combo with that crust was insane. The sauce was just enough for my liking. The beverage list was a hit when I saw one of my top brews, a Fiddlehead IPA brewed in Vermont. Ordered one up. I also tried a local brew, but this essay is not a beverage review, but i know what satisfies me. Can this joint get any better? Friendly and efficient hosts answering your questions, taking your orders, getting your drinks. Small business where the customer is both treated well and fed well. I know that I only had a pizza, but that is what I came here for. Maybe I'll try another menu item on my next visit, maybe not. Looks small from the parking lot but very qwell laid out inside. Clean and comfortable bar. Adequate space to move around. I suggest that you check it out for yourself. I might see you there because I will be back to GST. I tried calling, but if they fall too far behind, they stop taking phone orders. I really wanted to try it based on reviews by Dave Portnoy and others, so I drove over to place my order in person. It took over 30 minutes to get my food. It was a busy Friday night, but wow. Seeing as how I had to pass 6 pizza places to get it ( I came from Brockton), I'm not sure it's worth the wait. “UPDATE:Came back here in 2024 to visit friends and the food has changed dramatically for the worse.Man....things sure do change.I ordered a stuffed quahog and it tasted awful and smelled like a wet dog. They took it off our tabThen I ordered a Meatball sub and the bread was cold and mozzarella wasn't even melted and the cheese was underneath the meatballs. And to be honest, the tomato sauce tasted like it was from a jar. They took it off our tab. The Chicken and Rice soup and my husband asked for it to be boiling hot and it came out barely warm.We won't be back.“

I like their pizza (had all different kinds! house special, chicken bacon ranch, and veggie are my favorites), salads are another fav and very good price for the amount of food you get. Steak tips are delicious, their subs are also very good (Italian, meatball, chicken parm, chicken teriyaki) and their dinner plates are a really good value. We did secure two seats together at the bar after a person was nice enough to move. The crowd wasn't overly friendly, but warmed up to us as our time there wore on. The bartender brought out cheese, pepperoni/salami and crackers to offer to the bar patrons- which was a bonus. Everything is cash only- so hit the ATM prior. The beers were mainly your usual suspects, but they had a few local craft beers- at GREAT prices. The pizzas (or food) are ordered from a window, but they give you a number- and bring it to you when it's done. I got extra chez and my husband got the Hot Hawaiian. We traded one pieces so I could try. My pizza was delicious and his was hot, but the flavors together worked really well. He enjoyed it and I was glad I tried it, but 1 or maybe 2 pieces is all I could handle. AmVets will certainly be in the rotation.“

Known for its bar pizza and pub fare like burgers, tips, etc. It’s usually a good place to grab a quick bite, comfort food, with a relaxed pub atmosphere. Food tonight was good with a few hiccups. I ordered Beef Barley Soup and got Beef Stew. I like beef stew too so I just ate it. ( it was good). I also had a blt which was very good with tons of bacon. My wife ordered a salad and pepperoni pizza. Her pizza was good but a little greasy and her salad had a lot of brown wilted lettuce. She removed it and did not eat it. None of these bumps in the road would prevent me from returning.Dietary restrictions: I try and eat GF when I can but didn’t see any GF options on the menu like GF pizza or GF bread orrolls.“
