“Jac’s Café is the ideal small town breakfast/luncheonette. Even with the limited seating, they make it work. They have a huge neighborhood takeout business. I’ve been going here for years and the food has always been fantastic. The service is always friendly and the patrons always respond to each other, including strangers as if you were their neighbor next-door.Their prices are extremely fair and reasonable.This is a great small town gem !”

“I went for lunch & ordered a cup of Clam Chowder & Crab Cake Sandwich with Onions Rings… DEMOLISHED this plate!!! And when I got home after work I wished I had bought a half-dozen of the crab cakes that I could have dropped into the air fryer to have another sandwich for dinner!!!The 3 Star Atmosphere Rating IS NOT their fault… Pesky New England weather had the outdoor dining area closed as we are expecting an April snowstorm after having days of rain and 30 degree temps… I’ll go back this Summer!”

“I have gone to countless amounts of restaurants in my life but this one tops every single one combined. The service is immaculate from the servers to the bartenders and the food is outstanding. I’ve never gotten a better cocktail than some of the ones Brandon and Alex have made for me. I would never go anywhere else when I’m in Winthrop. 10000/10 is my score for this place every time. “This place is a hidden gem. The food is very fresh and delicious! Also, many gluten free options. There is no GF designation on the menu, but the staff is knowledgeable and can point out what you can and cannot have.”

“This place is charming, perfect to drink a coffee. This place offers too wine. Offers an outdoor place with amazing sea view, marina’s view. We can see the airport and Boston landscape. The atmosphere is great because the music is perfect too. Nothing compare to drink something with amazing view and good music. Highly recommend”

“Winthrop Center Cafe is so great. Comfortable atmosphere and a lot to choose from on the menu. I’ve been a few times and everything has been really good. Roger is extremely nice and very hospitable.Love that they serve breakfast later than any other spot in town for the weekend days I don’t want to eat in the morning, but still want eggs!”

“I came here with some family the night before Thanksgiving to find the establishment empty at 6 pm but we had still made reservations in advanced as they are often busy. It appears as a small whole in the wall so I would highly suggest reservations if possible otherwise you would have a wonderful view to admire at the beach while you wait. For starters, we had their fluffy and plush white bread dipped in olive oil and garlic paste. Each of our entrees came with a starter salad topped with what appeared to be their Italian dressing. We also split their shrimp scampi appetizer with garlic bread. Conveniently enough, it came with 4 pieces of shrimp as well as bread, perfect for our party of 4. As a scampi lover, I was in my glory with the aromatic sauce on the crisp bread. Entrees included frutti da mare, eggplant special with their homemade fusili pasta, mushroom and cream ravioli and a side meatball. Everyone was very happy with their choices! The eggplant special was an eggplant parm but could have been fried a bite longer to retain a more substanial crust. The raviolis were limited but served with a rich mushroom sauce. I love, love, love the meatball though! It was soft, juicy, and flavorful. Dessert was a slice of limoncello cake with their fresh made whip cream. Although I am not a fan of citrus dessert, I kept coming back for more with this since it was still light and sweet. Overall, we had a great experience. Service was kind and consistent. Food was delicious and justified by the view and their prices. Parking can be difficult if on an especially busy day since it is strictly street parking. I would definitely come again and recommend others to too and BOYB since they do not serve alcohol!”
