“The food is insanely good . Every dish we ordered was prepared to perfect quality . The lasagna was rich and amazing and not smothered with cheese . The grilled whole chicken is so tender and the sauce is rich. The lobster pasta was so good too. Highly highly recommended by my family and my 3 teenagers .“
“The best pizzas you can expect in Washington D.C. I assure you there's no one better. But people just love it. It's always packed and the pizzas never disappoint. It's a must-try for someone looking for a great pizza take out.“
“Very cute and innovative Japanese-Italian fusion spot! I had the Vongole Ramen, which was very tasty, although also extremely rich so perhaps difficult to finish towards the end.The onigiri was also interesting, although many of them were a bit lacking in filling.“
“Our server, Frank was incredibly welcoming and kind. We had some lovely conversation with him throughout the meal and enjoyed the service, courses, and the overall atmosphere. Each course was paired well with Audrey's Wine pairing and the dishes were stunning.“
“I really wanted to give a 5 star review because the food was incredible, however the service was slow for the price point. Plus, the 4% surcharge added onto the bill is deceptive. Our waiter explained that instead of raising their menu prices, they just tack on the fee. However, it’s not clear on the menu what exactly this fee goes towards. Why not just raise the price by $2 and stop fooling customers?I’d come back for the food for take away or to sit outside- the inside was cramped and very loud.“
“Checked out San Lorenzo for the first time the other night - I have been in DC for years, but just recently moved to the Shaw neighborhood and had heard good things about this spot. Christina the GM was super friendly and helpful, making me feel very welcome and the bartender I spoke to, Efron, gave some great menu recommendations. The Seafood Linguine was fantastic! Will absolutely be back.“
“We were bowled over by this place. We got there at 4.45pm as a walk in and were sat straight at the bar. Get there early if you want a seat! The food was absolutely outstanding, but Andrew the lovely bar waiter was the highlight of the night for us. He was so warm. informative and professional. Very much recommended.“
“We were in a Rush to find something to eat at the end of a very long day, and found this cute little restaurant that was said to have good gluten-free options. We were lucky to get seated pretty quickly on a Monday evening, and the waiter took great care of us. I had a nice gluten-free lamb bolognese, and the others at our table really enjoyed their dishes as well. The waiter was even able to bring out gluten-free bread for me. Allergen safety seems to be quite excellent at this restaurant.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free and nut free options available.“
“I'd come back for a slice. Located inside the Western Market on/near GW University. A little hard to find, yelp map doesn't match actual location (used google maps instead). Ordered a half margarita half pepperoni pie. Was hungry so ordered a slice of margarita pizza while we waited. The slice was awesome!!! The crust was crispy airy and delicious. Disappointed a little with the crust on the whole pie... it wasn't crispy at all... a little chewy. Tasted like two completely different pizza spots. Service was friendly. There was room for small or medium sized groups with seating in the back or out in the market place walk way. They had a large selection of drinks including beer/wine/etc.“
“We are obsessed with Revelers hour! It’s so cozy inside and the food is always delicious - the garlic knots are a must. Great alternative to tail up goat , more food for less price! Our waiter was great at selecting wines for our table. Also good for vegetarians too - plenty of options I could choose from! The tortelli and the ceaser are some of our favorites.Vegetarian options: Multiple pastas and appetizers for vegetarians!“
“We are tourist & was searching for a place too eat since our first choice for dinner totally ignored us after we sat there 30 minutes we left. This pizza joint is absolutely delicious. The thin crust was delicious especially on the cheese pizza. The only negative thing I have too say is y’all charging too much for a house salad. I mean if you gonna charge $14 @ least give me something other than basic lettuce.“
“Great business lunch spot! Service is on point - which is often hard to find in DC. The food is creative and delicious. I highly recommend the steak salad for lunch. The steak is perfectly cooked and the salad fresh and refreshing. Overall such a great experience - enjoy!“
“Great place to go with friends or family cute intimate little setting staff was great we showed up with a last-minute reservation, They got us in on a Friday night. The owner is in the front of the house and he takes care of all his customers like family, highly recommend going, don’t rush and enjoy all they have to offer…“
“Absolutely loved the place and the pizza. I got the honey Sriracha chicken pizza and they have a ton of condiments to add to your liking. Plus it was free ice cream day so they let me pick one as well. Lady behind the counter was super friendly as well. 11/10“
“Was on a trip to the area in April and had dinner at the Shirlington location. I am still telling people about the best eggplant parmesan I have ever had! Everything was excellent! Definitely would recommend to people going that way. I only wish I had picked up something from their shop to bring home with me for another time.“
“Took my kids to the Tidal Basin, and we decided to make it very special by having late lunch at this cute restaurant. The food is tasty, the service is great [our waiter Josean was amazing!] and thw charm of a cozy restaurant was thw cherry on top!“
“Phenomenal experience. We will absolutely keep coming back until we have had a chance to try everything on the menu! The food was top tier and the staff truly raise the bar for hospitality. This will be the restaurant that we take out of town guests to, because if you're only in DC for a short time, this is the one restaurant that you can't miss!“
“Great food, super cute and chic ambiance, and easy, prompt service. The menu has all the classics of an upscale Italian restaurant and the flavors + portions don't disappoint! I had the Burrata, the mushroom pasta, and the broccolini - all were well prepared and delicious. The price point is certainly on the higher side but nonetheless it's a cute and cosy spot that I hope to be back to soon. Glad to have this option in the neighborhood!“
“A first date cancelled on my 20 minutes before we were supposed to meet. My super sweet server consoled me and even gave me a free dessert. The whole staff was unbelievably nice, and my Monday night half price pizza was delish. I've also had the pasta in the past and thought it was great, too. Cozy decor. I recommend.“
“Delicious food and gluten free options. I do wish the menu online was the same as the restaurant, it seemed there were more options for my friend than there wereDietary restrictions: There were lots of gluten free options, but fewer vegan options than I anticipated“
“A favorite of mine in DC. I hadn't been since before the pandemic, and was happy to see that everything which made the restaurant good was still present. A well-rounded menu, a very good wine selection with a range of price points and the always excellent service. The food is so good, and the care taken by the staff is top notch. You don't feel rushed, get to enjoy the experience. Highly recommended.“
“My son and I ate at Bacio today and let me say we had a wonderful experience. We sat on the cute patio and it was so peaceful and quiet, you wouldn’t know you were in the middle of DC. The server was friendly and attentive. I liked the alcohol selection, and had wine. We enjoyed mozzarella sticks which we could tell were made in house and not just reheated from frozen like in most other places. The pizza my son got was fresh and delicious. I enjoyed my arugula salad with shrimp. I wish they were a little more cooked but that is a personal preference. The desserts very very good too, we really liked the limoncello raspberry cake. We really highly recommend this place and we can’t wait to go back!“
“RPM definitely hit the spot. They have an amazing happy hour menu at the bar (drinks and apps from 3-530pm, 7 days a week). Pizza was small but a good app. It gets packed, make sure you get there early. Steaks were amazing and the service put it over the top (in a good way). If you are looking for great pasta and steak, this is the spot. Price wise, this is what you expect a resturant like this to be. I will be frequenting for sure.“
“Not only the quality is top notch, the consistency between their locations is even more admirable. I can go to any location and be happy. When you combine quality, creativity, knowledge, skills, the love and passion in what they do, this is what makes my stellina my home.“
“The staff were all welcoming from the start. The food was AMAZING! The owner came to our table to check on our evening. We were very happy and I must say the Filet Mignon with balsamic glaze was one of the best I’ve ever had and I’ve eaten at 3 star Michelin restaurants . The evening was important to us as we got engaged that day. I highly recommend this wonderful little jewel of a restaurant !!“
“The service at Centrolina was amazing! I came on a busy Thursday night without a reservation and we were quickly accommodated. Once seated our waiter was warm and welcoming. He provided great recommendations and continued to check on us throughout our meal. Every bite was amazing and they had a great selection of mocktails. The vibe was buzzy but not to loud to enjoy a conversation at the table. Definitely a spot I will visit again.“
“Went here for dinner after seeing an Instagram reel about the place. Ordered the chicken tikka pizza, paneer tikka pizza, and masala chaat and all were delicious. It was also nice that the dishes had a choice of spice level. Very flavorful chicken tikka as well.“
“Absolutely incredible experience! The tasting menu and wine pairings were perfect and the service is unparalleled. Our server was even kind enough to give us a hand written note with the specific wines we had so we could enjoy the memory again at home. Thank you for making my partner's birthday so special. And the take home breakfast pastries they gave us were too good to be true. Will definitely be back!“
“The bbq chicken pizza was amazing! It is a little confusing walking inside. It’s set up like a sit down and order, but it’s not. There are two tablets blending into the wall to the right as you walk in. There is also another one towards the back. The place is clean. The staff is not extra friendly but also not rude.“
“Went here with a friend on a Thursday. We made reservations online which I recommend because it can get crowded around dinner time. Then started bread was good. I got this gnocchi truffle pasta and my friend got bolognese. She really liked hers! I did enjoy mine but it felt like it was missing just a little extra flavor. It was still a good experienc. Sat the patio which was heated and very nicely decorated. I’d love to come back and try other pastas!“
“Went there with a group of friends for a Sunday brunch. The waiter talked us into trying the Buono Buono Brunch since there were four of us. We decided to give it a shot, and we could not have been more pleased with our decision. We were worried about there, being too much food with the seven courses, but each course had the right amount of food for each of us. We left, feeling satisfied, not stuffed. The presentation of everything was great and the flavors were excellent. While I’m not a huge fan of Italian food, this would have me coming back for more. I would highly recommend this for a Sunday brunch of a party of four or more. You won’t be disappointed.“
“My husband and I went to Alta Strada for dinner before a show at the Capital One Arena. It was amazing. Their staff and team were so sweet and so much fun. They are clearly very passionate about customer service and their food! We loved our entire experience and already decided to make that our go to spot before shows!!“
“Walked in without reservations but they were happy to seat us at the bar. Cocktails were amazing and beautifully done, the bartender was great and very friendly! Food was delicious - we had the fried mozzarella as an appetizer, and the carbonara and chicken piccata. Didn’t try dessert but the entrees were incredible and very authentic-tasting, would highly recommend!“
“The chicken fettuccine Alfredo was delicious as usual. I have ordered this particular dish for over 13 years there, seeing the price go from $14 to $21 over the years. Service was good and fast. It's one of my favorite places in the DC metro area.“
“The best Italian food outside of Italy! Have been regular frequent diners for many years. All food - including pasta - is made fresh every day. The service is superb, friendly, knowledgeable staff. Whether dining in or to go the food is consistent and delicious every time. Any day of the year they perform - which is why this is a go to on holidays such as new years - the same consistent menu, quality, and service.“
“Finally visited this sub shop. Had read about it on Eatery. Glad I went. I got the Teamster Italian Cold Cuts) and the Never Been Cheddar (Roast Beef). I also ordered 2 whole deli pickles. The Teamster reminded me of the subs I used to get at the Italian Store in Arlington. Wonderful. Eat it for lunch. The Roast Beef I will save for dinner. The large pickle was perfect. I will return. They are a bit pricey but I think they are worth it. The only thing missing were napkins.“
“This place is highly underrated and needs your business. Why? Incredible wine selection, quality food, super kind staff, vibey music, and reasonable prices. You want to wait an hour or two to go eat at El Presidente, Pastis, and St. Anselm? Me neither. Those restaurants are great but we are overlooking this hidden gem. Pictured: valtellina bruschette, marinated olives, and seafood paella.Wheelchair accessibility: There is an ADA ramp to get to the restaurant.“
“OMG! Finally a real NY Pizza! 3/2/24 12 noon, I just happened to ride by this place and I saw it said New York Pizza. So I bought one slice just to check it out, finally, finally, finally a real New York pizza! I will definitely be back to purchase a whole pie.“
“Moe!!! You are dope! I ordered Uber eats, Uber did not come thru, but Moe did. He not only provided me a fresh order due to Uber allowing my food to become stale but gave me a drink as well. It’s good food yall, if you in the area or can get lucky with a courier I would recommend this spot at all times of your day (even 3 AM). People were inside the restaurant at the time of my very expensive Uber ride to pick up the food and their food looked and smelled fresh. Moe, you my dawg!!“
“Awesome food and ambiance. We were a group of 6 adults and 3 kids. They also have a separate menu for kids, with a lot of options. we ordered chicken strips and cheese pizza for kids. Also ordered their special pizza and chicken pesto with one mushroom, and they all were good. At last, we ordered their tiramsui desert, which was amazing. It's definitely worth the food“
“I don't know why it took me so long to check out the Obelisk. From the moment you are greeted at the door you know you are in for an incredible experience. The servers know their stuff. They understand the menus and communicate effectively and succinctly. They were perfectly attentive, we never felt ignored or as if they were intrusive. There are no slouches on the menu. Everything I tried would be the star at most other restaurants, the two of us picked different items so I was able to try quite a few things. There were no misses. The menu changes regularly so what was being served when I visited won't be served when you visit. You should inquire about the menu if you have dietary restrictions. It's not a cheap meal but if you're going to spend the money you should get the wine pairing. It compliments the meal perfectly. This was one of the best meals I've had and I plan on visiting again.Parking: It's street parking in DuPont Circle so parking is next to impossible. Do yourself a favor and take a ride share or public transportation. That way you can get the wine pairing.“
“We came to D.C. for a couple days from AZ and my son wanted Italian. I sent my Mom some options in many different areas and she chose this place, and I’ll admit when we were dropped off in this area, I wasn’t quite sure, but we decided to go in, and were warmly welcomed, and enjoyed an amazing meal! I got the Gnocchi with Meat Sauce, my Mom enjoyed Ravioli with cream sauce, and my son said his spaghetti with meat sauce was one of the best! We go out to eat A LOT, and am glad we gave this little place a try.“
“Ya know, I’ve supported this business many times. Not gonna say it’s the warmest service but they’re nice enough and the food is amazing, specifically the veal parmigiana. However, today, I was very disappointed. I called ahead for a carry out order, I was hung up on, called back told it would be a long wait. It ended up being a two hour wait. The ONE thing I emphasized was wanting a side of Alfredo. It’s why I ordered the entree I did, and it’s why I ordered garlic bread. After a much anticipated two hour wait, I get home, and there’s no Alfredo. It’s been a hard day. It ruined my meal. Sad girl.SN best veal parmigiana (while I didn’t order that today)But no Alfredo…that ruined the night for me after a two hour wait“
“Our experience was nothing short of exceptional. Miss Ricchi came to our table to welcome us into her culinary home and what a joy it was. We was on “Daddy Daughter Date Night” and not one person disappointed. In a town and area that is filled with “stuffy suits,” i Ricchi read their customer. The food was outstanding; authentic Italian. My 2.5 year old interacted with the staff, but more importantly finished her entire adult size pasta and dessert. Highly recommend you give this place a try if you haven’t been. We will definitely be back!Kid-friendliness: They were extremely accommodating. I took my 2.5 year old on Daddy Daughter Date Night. They couldn’t have been nicer. I told them my daughter ate more than I do. They provided an adult portion of rigatoni and meatballs. They were incredibly sweet to her the entire meal and interacted with her. We will absolutely be back.“
“Quaint neighborhood restaurant with good Italian food and good drinks. Nice vibe with friendly staff. Food was pleasant — wish the portions of lasagna were a little larger. Very good Caesar salad and tasty Negroni. Would definitely return.“
“Food was tasty and service was good. The tip was factored into the bill so there was no trying to figure out what the tip was supposed to be. A HUGE issue for us however was the noise level. We couldn’t hear our waitress, we couldn’t hear each other and ended up with a miscommunication that resulted in one of our party not getting what they believed they had ordered.“
“We were looking for a pasta restaurant for the day before the Washington race event. The food was absolutely delicious... arancini etc. The missing star is a bit for the service because no water refilter was given to us or asked if everything was OK.“
“Olive Garden is as good as you will get for a chain restaurant. We really weren't going there because the food is top tier, we went because it has a great family atmosphere which ends up making the food taste. Little better. The service was superb for our party of 25 and I would definitely come back just for that. Even when we were leaving the manager (or who I thought) was the manager greeted us all goodbye and made sure our service was good during ordering. Just an added touch of care. Thank you for a great family memory and the price isn't bad either.“
“Friendly greeting as we arrived. Jennifer gave fast, friendly and accurate service. Our food was served piping hot and was large portions , very tasty. Managers stopped by to assure we were happy with our food and service. A very enjoyable dinner.“
“Came here to leave a review for my experience yesterday. It was probably one of the best pizzas I had. Considering I’ve tried many places in New York I’d say this is an easy second or third place in total. Best in Maryland I’ve had. After reading a lot of the one star reviews it seems as though the main issue was about cleanliness. It seems to me that they have taken these reviews seriously and done a lot to improve in this area. Toppings and pizza were fresh and tasted great. Workers are very friendly as well. It is understandable that they may be stressed with a busy night rush, but don’t let that stop you from ordering.Overall I hope that this place will continue to stay open and strive for a clean and nice staff. My personal experience was awesome. Thanks!“
