“I felt welcomed as soon as I walked in. The staff was warm and inviting, and so was the decor and fragrances. I detected a hint of incense and palo santo. I recommend the hearts of palm salad, the Causa, and scallops to warm up. The fish was superbly executed, but the name of the fish escapes me. We had ours served cold (dry aged?) with the Rocoto sauce which was mild yet fantastic. The pisco sour coctail enhanced the flavors for me. My overall impression was that all flavors are somewhat mild but not boring, everything tastes super fresh; and like one at our table mentioned, you can almost taste every single ingredient but in a good way.“

Also we were meeting friends and the charcuterie board is lovely to share. I appreciate the cutting the meats to order in front of folks. The pickle condiments on the charcuterie board is lovely. My favorite food item: the beef tartare. It had the pickle condiment and was just super tasty. The scallops were good. The gumbo was delicious in a homey way, if I were at home I would have put in Tabasco. The baked Alaska is a spectacle worth doing. We shared among four and were content. The cocktails are divine. The spritz was my favorite. The hurricane was lovely. I hadn't known that New Orleans fare had such complexity and depth. Thank you, Dauphine's!“

Overall it was $150 for two rounds of drinks and 3 small plates, with very little interaction with service. Probably better bang for your buck at happy hour than a full on meal.“

As we approached the door, a code was requested, and I whispered it - it felt like we were undercover agents or something! Upon entering, the ambiance was captivating. The decor was beautiful and definitely selfie-friendly. The drinks were strong, perfectly suited for the occasion. Unfortunately, we didn't dine there as we had already eaten dinner before arriving. “I came here for dinner during DC Restaurant Week. I was really looking forward to trying this place out because I’m a huge fan of their sister restaurant, Daikaya. We made reservations, but were kept waiting after we arrived. To the manager’s credit, he made us comfortable while we waited with a drink and apologized for the inconvenience, which we appreciated. We were seated upstairs next to a large diorama of…well, I’m still not quite sure what it was lol. The decor in the restaurant seems disjointed and not at all cohesive. I thought it was odd.We started with the arugula salad which was fine. I also had the Brussels sprouts which were very good. I had a slice of the Tonari pizza and my friend had a slice of the Mentaiko & Corn pizza. Both were super delicious! The corn pizza has a very unique flavor that’s hard to describe, but it works. We also both ordered the Mentaiko pasta which was equally delicious. For drinks, I had the Daidai, which has zero alcohol and was good; it’s pretty fruity but not overly sweet. They were offering dessert when we were there, and we both had an espresso affogato.All in all, I thought the restaurant was great. They had recently opened, so I could tell they were still working out some kinks, but I think it’s a great addition to the food scene in downtown. The prices are also reasonable. I would return!“

The Thai tea was delicious and the pad Thai was also very good. The pad Thai did taste slightly burnt but not so much so that i didn't enjoy the dish. Pad Thai 4/5 Thai tea: 5/5 Ambiance: clean. Service: good. It wasn't busy so there's one FOH person. He handled front desk, serving and to go orders just fine. He checked on me throughout my time there. Menu: they do NOT have a lunch menu. I read from previous yelpers that they ordered off the lunch menu, but unfortunately they don't have a lunch menu anymore. Other: i came in to eat and work, but right now they do not have WiFi. “Second time to Ceibo and it once again did not disappoint. Start first with the excellent, interesting, and perfectly made craft cocktails. Next move on to the food, everything is exceptional and intriguing. It's hard not to order the entire menu. You can't quite place the food concept; part Latin flavors, part Italian, part Asian, but how this team has put it together just works. Each dish is beautifully plated and with appropriate portions for a filling meal. Everyone reported their dishes to be both delicious and unexpected. One of the most exciting food experiences in DC right now. Last, the restaurant itself is minimalist, but reminded me of a hip restaurant in Mexico City. The tables are nicely spaced apart so you don't feel you are eating with your neighbors and the noise level is lively but not loud, so you can have a relaxed conversation with your dinner mates. The dining space is split between an upper level and a lover level. The bar is on the lower level, so feels a bit more lively than the upper level. “I love the food at this place and the service is amazing. I’m frustrated when I order pick up because for some reason I don’t get all of my food. When I dine in, I get 4 bao and 10 chicken and mushroom dumplings. When I do a pick up order, I only get 2 bao and 6 dumplings for the same price. I’m not sure why this has happened twice now. And since they don’t have a phone number, I can’t call and ask about it. So I’d suggest folks dine in if they can!“
“One of my favorite spots in DC. Amazing cocktails and the food is great too! Don't be overwhelmed by the menu, everything is delicious and the bartenders are always willing to provide recommendations. It can be a bit crowded, but for a good reason. The bartenders always put so much effort into each drink even when the bar is packed and it would be easy to cut corners. They have an outdoor patio space that is the perfect place to hang with friends when the weather is nice. This place is seriously amazing. No complaints!“

The staff seemed agitated and angry all the time so it was a put off. They need to be friendlier for the price being paid. The street food was typical street in presentation but not good. We ordered the Mac n cheese and the quesadilla and both were mediocre. We bought the $70 package that included the 9 holes and two drinks. When we ordered we had to pay a surcharge for non well drinks. Seating is also a challenge but as you move outside of the main area seats open up.“
“My partner and I walked in at 6:30 PM on a busy Friday night without a reservation (I didn’t realize they had started taking reservations!) The host said the only options were bar seating or outdoor seating under heat lamps. We didn’t really want either of those options, but understood that since we didn’t have a reservation, we could not be very choosy. The host then kept looking at his reservation app and offered us a very nice table as long as we could be finished by 8:30 PM. We said that two hours is plenty of time! He said he felt bad that there wasn’t room for us but we assured him this was perfect and we would definitely be finished by the time he needed the table back. He was so kind and accomodating. “While in line for La Tejana breakfast tacos, I kept seeing people walk past on the sidewalk with fresh breads and a cute canvas tote bag with a drawing of cats (and cat butts). So after we were done with tacos, we visited Elle to share sweets and coffee: Thai iced tea donut, guava turnover, snickerdoodle cookie and chocolate chip cookie. Got the last baguette and donuts at 12:30pm. Please try the sourdough baguette especially if you want to impress folks with a quality cheese board. The donut was one of the best donuts of my life. Thai iced tea flavor was not overdone with a balanced sweet icing. The donut was the springy, soft and nicely fried, I was impressed. Long line went quickly and employees were friendly and efficient with our treats and coffee (Tandem Coffee Roasters from Portland, ME). Rose Cardamom latte was very strong on the cardamom and could not pick out the rose flavor. Would ask for less flavoring next time, and I love cardamom. Trendy indoor space with a bar, sit-down restaurant and cafe section right inside the front door. Cute floral arrangements and unique original art on the walls.“

“One of my favorite restaurants in the Bloomingdale area in DC. Slightly biassed as I live in this neighborhood It's a nice fusion between Italian and American cuisine. Depending on our mood we order either a combination of deviled eggs, pizza with a cocktail of red wine / flight of rose with Italian options such as shrimp scampi and lamb meatballs. Portions are great. Perfect quantity and the rest is so good. I am a huge fan of their lamb meatballs. Service is very good. They keep it very classy. The restaurant a nice vibe of classy and rustic. Love the ambiance. On a nice summer or fall day, love their outdoor seating and seeing some of our neighbors walk by and even bring them in for an impromptu dinner. Highly recommend this restaurant.“

“I love this place!! It's conveniently located off the U Street Metro and has both outdoor and indoor seating. I will note that outdoor seating only takes up to 4 people for seating as I went with a group of 5 and we couldn't sit outside even though I had made an outdoor reservation for 5. However, the staff was very accommodating for our party since I had made a reservation and we were eventually seated in a little closed off room which turned out to be so fun! The staff served us when we turned a light switch on which was so cool! The drinks were great and their happy hour menu is such a deal! If you can't make it to happy hour the prices are standard DC prices around $15-$25 per drink. I got the pisco punch and mango sticky rice drink which was such a unique take on a classic dessert.
