“Ellie Bird has been on our list to try since they opened. Like their sister restaurant Rooster & Owl, the menu is both refined and rustic, with an emphasis on small plates great for sharing. We went for dinner and ordered the bread basket, spring green salad, Vietnamese french onion soup, salted cod rangoons, pomelo larb, braised lamb shank and chocolate cake. The pineapple buns are a carry over from Rooster & Owl that I’d happily eat with every meal. The Vietnamese french soup is aptly named, a wonderful combination of richly aromatic braised oxtail broth reminiscent of a fabulous pho with the oniony, cheesy, crouton goodness of a classic french onion. The rangoons are a perfect execution of an American Thai staple and the pomelo larb burst with flavor. The lamb shank, expertly cooked and glazed, was easily split between the two of us and sat on a bed of herbaceous tabouleh.A delay in getting us to our seats at the chefs counter resulted in several comped plates throughout the meal and we were very grateful for the above and beyond. The asparagus and pine berry salad added to our starter course was a true delight, who knew they were such a good pair!I’ll be interested to see how the restaurant continues to evolve. While Rooster & Owl remains our go-to for special occasions, we will absolutely come back to Ellie Bird with friends and family in tow and certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal.“

They are not even as good as the sauce you can pick up from the streets in Lisbon. They need to step up the game and bring the real piri piri sauce and get rid of those bland, uninspired ones.“

Feeding a family of four with room to spare for $22 is something you can't even do at McDonalds these days. Sides are limited in variety, but they're ok. Only gripe is the fried yuca is often chewy, hard, and/or dry. But skip that menu item, and you'll be fine.“

“Listennnnnnn, I've had Astro Doughnuts before and they are amazing. But the one in VA is the only one that gives you a doughnut with espresso in it! They cut a hole in the doughnut put Nutella in there and that keeps it from soaking the doughnut.....whoever invited this is a genius. Chicken sandwiches was one of the best I've had in the DMV. “The first location to open up in Maryland, had a rough opening weekend back in the first year when it initially opened, but things definitely have improved since then. I got the following: The new Crispy Chicken Sandwich with Bacon and Cheese, Side of Jollibee Spaghetti, Yumburger With Cheese, Ube Pie Dessert Their chicken sandwiches are always a great way of taking the flavor from the Chickenjoy and putting it in a sandwich. Nice juicy and tender breast of chicken, nicely fried with their crispy exterior and savory seasonings, plus the addition of mayo and their amazing bun, it's delicious! Plus the addition of bacon and cheese in this item can only help make it better. The Yumburger with Cheese is a guilty pleasure of mine, I always love the flavors of the sauce and the softness of the bun + meat patty. Their meat patty isn't like other traditional fast food burgers, it's prepared in a different way and the meat is more tender and condensed, giving it a different texture. I just wish the solo Yumburger wasn't so pricey for how small of a sandwich it is. Lastly, the Ube Pie Dessert, as with all of their pies, was fantastic. Deliciously sweet ube filling, nice crispy and flakey pie crust, it's a great combination. Overall I love the flavors of Jollibee every time I come here, the prices are a bit on the higher side, but as it's a chain there isn't much that could be done about that. Service is friendly and efficient with the long lunch rushes, and the restaurant ambiance is always cute and appealing with their Jollibee mascot statues and posters around the establishment!“

“Spin Pollo is absolutely one of the best pollo a la brasa I had in the Us. I was incredibly wowed because the place is very little but they serve really good pollo a la brasa. Chicken is juicy, well prepared, potatoes are just like in Perú, cut, fresh, fried there not industrialized potatoes, sauces are good. Even one time my husband brought me chicken from falls church to Miami and the chicken was impecable. Love this place!“

Sides cost £4.75 individually (not pictured). I wish I understood that, because why should someone get the fiesta meal?“
