“I recently dined at D'lena and had an amazing experience! The food was absolutely delicious. The flavors were exceptional and left me wanting more. I ended up doing a walk in & ended up at the bar, my server at the bar was Paul! He truly made my visit outstanding! He was attentive, friendly, and made great recommendations. His knowledge of the menu and willingness to ensure my dining experience was perfect truly stood out. I highly recommend Dlena to anyone looking for a wonderful dining experience with fantastic food and top-notch service!I had the squash soup & wagyu fajitas on a hot plate. The steak was also very good especially combined with the broccolini.“
“A friend and I were just walking around DC and stumbled upon this restaurant. The decor was the first thing that got us. Once we got inside the warm welcome and smiles caused us to stay. We were given complimentary butternut squash soup, it was delicious! I ordered the Seven Reasons ceviche and I loved it! The purple sweet potato and crunchy pops of quinoa really stood out. Also, I got the Tropical Aperol Spritz cocktail, it was refreshing. The atmosphere was welcoming and friendly staff was an added bonus. This was my first and I'll definitely visit again during my next trip to Washington DC.“
“Orders are placed via phone or you can order at the counter but the tip defaults to 22%. I’m a generous tipper but am annoyed at this, esp when our server didn’t return with sugar after being asked for it or to check up on us. Otherwise, it’s a very cozy place.“
“We came here for friend’s birthday and although imperfecto doesn’t scream birthday vibes the restaurant absolutely delivered. Food was immaculate- the drinks were delicious and the service was great. It was peak brunch time so the restaurant was super busy - but the staff was very timely and attentive.Onto the drinks, we had a variety of drinks, a crowd favorite was (classic) the espresso martinis. Some food highlights include the wagyu burger, the avocado toast was supreme, mussels, chicken and waffles and the pancakes.Be sure to specify if you are celebrating an event as the staff will be sure to make it special.“
“We got our food to go since the place is on the small side but the food did not disappoint. The sopes were delicious and the torta chingona was amazing. The torta can definitely Can be shared with another person since it’s on the big side (I think it was obvious from the name) I’ll definitely return!“
“This place is a hidden gem. The food is so flavorful that your tongue will jump out of your mouth and slap your face! ?The staff is friendly and you can usually find the owner pitching in wherever necessary.Prices are good and drinks are strong. One of our favorites.“
“I got the pollo frito with tostones on the side and a little pickled slaw on top. It was delicious - reminded me of how my grandma fried chicken. Crispy and flavorful. The tostones were crispy too. I just wish you got one more piece of chicken for $18. Overall, totally worth it.“
“My wife and I had dinner on our anniversary and the food and service was outstanding. The menu is full of outstanding options and the atmosphere and vibe is great for date night or dinner with friends. Definitely one of the best restaurants in DC!“
“I really enjoyed my time here. I was craving a little bit of Madrid and while trying to find a restaurant, I stumbled upon this place just a few minutes from my hotel.Right from the first encounter with the manager as I walked in, I knew I was going to like this place.Cristiano and Cristian behind the bar were great. The recommended all those amazing plates. I ended up doing a paella tapa as well as the Argentinian steak with chimichurri paired with a lovely Malbec.Remember, these are tapas, so the plates wont be giant. A couple of plates should get you to where you’d like. And the prices are very reasonable.I definitely recommend this place. I can’t wait to be back in Arlington so that I can go back and see my peeps. I made friends with the staff that night. They were truly one of the best restaurant staffs out there. Thanks Sabores team for a great first encounter!Parking: They share a parking garage with the apartment building. You can get your parking ticket validated by the staff before you leave. However, the first hour in the garage is FREE“
“Last night I had an incredible time at Kumbia, the DJs played the best music, my wife and I didn't stop dancing and we liked Ivanna's attention, that's why we always ask her to attend to us because she already knows what we're drinking ?thanks kumbia and thanks ivannita for the attention and affection... you are the best!!!“
“I ordered the 3 beef tacos (tacos de Birria) that came with a consommé. Amazing. Service was fast and friendly. They are doing some facade changes out front, landlord? My husband had the chicken enchiladas and he really liked them. They give a green sauce with the chips that was very tasty. I would definitely come here again.“
“I had to delete my last review because I can't help but call this place every week...For exquisite food: birria tacos, carne asada, loaded tater tots - and i am a tot hater!,... they make pickup easy.oh yeah, and their chicken fingers reminded me so much of oldschool Dairy Queen in a good way that i went home and made runny mashed potatoes. And it's great they give you a lil separate dish of rice and beans.“
“First time visiting the restaurant and I loved it. The flavor of the chicken is on point. Every side I tried was delicious. My favorites were the cassava fruit, sprouts and onion (curtido type) on top of the green salad. Oh, and they have 3 types of sauces that go excellent with everything.“
“I ate my empanadas immediately upon it hitting the table so I didn't get a picture, holy god they were delicious. Get the lime (?) sauce with them as it makes them damn near euphoric. Great service from the bartender and chefs, highly recommend if you can get a seat!“
“The staff here are super friendly and move very quickly, parking is limited if they’re super busy. Just to keep note, it isn’t cheaper to order a la carte chicken, as you have to order your food with two sides (same price if you don’t get sides)Half chicken with 2 sides ran me about $20 which included a $2 tip. The chicken is on the crispier side and being very honest I’ve had better in the northern va area. I did really like the Yucca here as it was cooked perfectly!Parking: There’s a parking lot outside of the place that can probably hold about 25-30 cars just by eyeballing it“
“Walked into this eatery and it wasn't too busy. Possibly because it was a weekday during off peak hours. Was sat quickly and was brought out ice water and some chips and salsa (which were fresh). I ordered a Mixed Fajita which came with steak, chicken and shrimp. This came out with a side of rice and black beans as well as your choice of corn or flour tortillas. Food was great and I felt that it was a great portion size as well. I walked out stuffed and almost passed out in the car for a nap. I would definitely recommend this place whenever you feel like eating some great latin food.“
“I lived in Miami for a decade and used to live in Little Havana a few blocks from Versailles and La Carreta so I know what’s up when it comes to Cuban food. This place is legit and very authentic to the Miami Cuban flavors. Prices are reasonable (for DC) and it’s a nice comfortable restaurant for a casual night out.“
“I don't think it's clear that this place is located within a hotel. So, for starters walking around trying to find the place is a bit frustrating. The food, however, was very delicious. We did the Sangria Sin Fin option for brunch. Bottomless Sangria is what made this brunch stand out from others There wasn't a dish we didn't enjoy. I was disappointed that I could not have unlimited red Sangria because it wasn't available so I had to settle for Peruvian Sangria. I do not like that a credit card is required for reservations. In fact, I almost didn't go because of this feature. It's confusing to require a credit card but it's not charged for a deposit or anything. When paying I assumed they already had my card on file since it was necessary to book but they didn't so I'm not sure of the point of requiring a credit card. Additionally, it could be the time we chose but other groups seemed to be noisier than necessary including some children screaming. We were seated in a corner away from other tables but were still shocked by the noise. Overall I'd try again sometime in the distant future.“
“El Cielo made our Valentine’s celebration a memorable experience! I wanted to surprise my husband this year and the CCO, Pedro, was very helpful when it came to helping me with last minute reservations. The entire staff was friendly, eloquent, and very professional. My husband and I are both Spanish speakers (it is our mother tongue) and we loved interacting with the staff in Spanish (this made it so much more special to us). Now, as for the food. Let me just start by saying that when I told my husband what our dining experience would be like, he was very skeptical. He is an amateur fighter, and when he is not doing “fighting camps” he LOVES to eat. When we arrived he was already making plans to go eat arepas after, to finish filling his tummy. Needles to say, arepas did not happen after, as he was extremely full from all the courses. Each meal was beautifully presented, and tasted just as divine! We loved knowing what each meal represented and they are all a beautiful homage to Colombia. The atmosphere in El Cielo, is very cozy. The aesthetics of the restaurant itself makes you feel like you are eating at a friends house. From the decorations to the music. Y para terminar, usando las palabras de mi hermoso esposo después de finalizar nuestra cena “Parce, toda esta comida estaba tan rica que te hace sentir que estás en el cielo”. El Cielo, un nombre tan propio para este encantador lugar. Nuevamente, muchísimas gracias a todos por hacer, y ser parte, de esta experiencia única e inolvidable para nosotros. Hasta la próxima!“
“TLDR: The food was better than some "fine dining" I've had, but its a totally humble family diner. My God, the food. I personally tried the yucca con chicharron, masitas de puerco, lomo saltado, and a piece of tres leches, and can vouch for them all. The masitas de puerco was absolutely my favorite; the pork was so tender and the sauce was crazy savory. Truly I can't remember the last time I had something so good. If you are a fan of onions or pork I cannot recommend it enough. The staff was polite, attentive, and accommodating.I will say it is a bit small/there's not a lot of seating. We came after peak dinner hours (8pm) when it wasn't full, but if all the tables were full I could see it being a bit crowded and chaotic. Would be totally worth it in my opinion, but if that's not for you, just come later like we did.“
“Trouble communicating with the staff behind the counter so another guest in line helped me. Tried the fried trout $17.99, 1/2 chicken plate $14.99, yucca fries, fried rice, corn and onion in tomato salad. Everything was good except the yucca fries pick something else.“
“The most delicious restaurant in the United States. Delicious, delicious, delicious, and the manager is very classy. He helped me choose halal dishes without forbidden meat or alcohol. A wonderful experience, and I hope I will break my fast there tomorrow too, in Morocco (Ramadan). The only drawback is that it is expensive..“
“This is the best place to get Arepas and other Venezuelan/Colombian food in Washington DC. This is highly popular and has excellent food, desserts, and other South American beer. If you would love Arepas, you should absolutely try this place.Arepas are basically corn cakes that are cut and then stuffed with meat or other vegetarian fillings. the corn can be sweet or it can be non-sweet. The sweet ones are called cachapas. You MUST try both in separate visits. Washington DC has excellent Colombian food and this place is evidence of that.Seating here can be limited, so be careful. Because of this place is popularity you can expect to wait in line for a bit and also you might not find seating, since it is open seating. However, you’re always welcome to grab these and walk to a nearby park or somewhere else. This place is excellent and I have been here multiple times and loved it each time I went.“
“I went to this place for a birthday celebration and I had a blast.. We ordered seafood soup baleadas and pupusas. It was all DELICIOUS. I also had Micheladas and must say is one of the best I’ve ever had.I highly recommend this place and can't wait to come back to try the rest of their menu.“
“Stopped by here with my sister and ordered a pork and cheese popusa and the Guatemalan style steak, which came with Pico, avocado, rice, beans, 2 tortillas, and a cheese whose name eludes me but was delicious. Everything was fantastic. The portions were generous, the tortillas were made in house and delicious, and the steak was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. All together, it was about $20 which was a bargain for the quantity and quality. Our waitress was super sweet and the atmosphere is great. I will be coming back. I've been to tons of south American places and I can say this is one of my favorites. I will definitely be coming back“
“Nice really nice small Guatemalan restaurant in the heart of Washington DC!Service was really good (one lady show) perfect. Waiting time was short!Food was great… Guate tamales extremely good… freshly fried chicken empanadas!! Guac n chips.. guac could be a bit more, true Guatemalan flavor… and crema… good crema! Yes Guatemala crema flavor!“
“Had an amazing meal there last week with another couple. The waiter recommended an off-menu fixed price meal for $75 per person; they brought out a mix of dishes over 4 courses served family style. Everything was delicious - an amazing value for all the food we got, and it was fun to try so many dishes. It was more or less a 12-course tasting menu with all the things we got to try. Most of the dishes were very inventive - like nothing I'd had anywhere else. Drinks were also amazing. And service was great - the waiter was on the ball all night and really helpful at guiding us. Can't wait to return.“
“This place is good simple Mexican restaurant. It's not expensive but a very good experienceVegetarian options: Beans Burittos rice soup quesadillaDietary restrictions: Accommodation for gluten intoleranceParking: There is ample parking right next to the restaurant“
“This new arrival to P St NW in DuPont is going to be a hit. There is finally a spot with good tacos in DC!Music is cool upbeat EDM and the atmosphere is clean and modern. The prices are reasonable at $15-$25 for a good sized meal.I'm looking forward to coming back with friends to try their 4:30-7:30 happy hour.“
“Los Primos is one of the most amazing tasting authentic Mexican food I have had here in Rockville MD!! My favorite dishes are the cheese quesodila, cheese Tamale, steak and chicken Fajita, and of course their Guacamole and salsa, and of course their famous Strawberry margarita. A special shout out to Ariel who works so hard to make this place so beautiful and thank you Ever for your amazing service! We will be back. Thank you Los Primos for an amazing experience ❤️“
“I really enjoyed eating at Samantha’s! I was so surprised to walk in and see a lot of families eating in there, which told me this was a popular spot with potentially a lot of returning customers. We ordered the argentine steak that was supposed to come with a chimichurri sauce but didn’t appear present on the steak, more so “flavored” chimichurri I guess.. and I ordered beef and ribs fajitas. The rice and beans were really good and tasty. I enjoyed my beef fajitas, but the ribs were a little too saucy and more American bbq tasting than Latino style. I see that they have a pork ribs entree on the menu which I may try next time to see if they’re any but different than the fajitas.I really liked that they had a large menu with many options so we can try different stuff each time we come back. Will be returning soon with local family!“
“Came for lunch on a weekday. They offer a lunch special with soup and a main dish that seems to be a very popular option with the regulars. We opted for lomo saltado and escabeche de patitas (pickled pig's feet). The lomo was tender and delicious, accompanied by vegetables, fried potatoes and rice. The escabeche was perfectly cooked, not too vinegary. Both portions were very generous. Finished with tres leches and lucuma ice cream. The service was quick and attentive without being annoying. The place is well appointed and nice. Will surely come back to try some more of the extensive menu!“
“HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️I can't raive enough on how delicious this food is. Honestly, it's made with love, and not only that, the chef came out and spoke to me. I had a great conversation with him. how professional to make me feel so welcomed and at home. For anyone in the local area or in the area, I highly recommend this location. So far as I sit here, he continues to greet customers, making them feel welcomed.????????????????What I noticed is that everyone greets them like family, The food did not take long at all..To chef's where on it quickly and fresh..As you can see in my video....I'm very happy I found this place...LET'S SHOW THEM LOVE??????????????????????TRULY AMAZING??????They offer catering for parties at competitive rates??????“
“A Mexican restaurant with some surprises. One of us got cajun jambalaya. Not Mexican. Not bad. I wasn't looking for a touch of New Orleans, but they nailed the sauce, with chicken and shrimp cooked just right. Our other dishes were traditional: shrimp fajitas and chicken fajitas. Again properly cooked and seasoned. Plenty of components to add into the tortilla wrapper. We finished with tres leches dessert. Moist and sweet as it was designed. Is 4 stars harsh? I based it on other Mexican restaurants that are on this level. For 5 stars, I needed them to be a cut above.“
“I've been eating at Caribbean Grill since I was a kid in the 90s, and it's still one of my favorite places! I've never had anything here I didn't like, but the chicken burritos (pollo a la brasa with black beans, rice, tomatoes, and onions) are my old standby. The saltenas are also wonderful. The yellow sauce is the best around! Fast food prices but so much better!“
“This is my favorite restaurant in the DMV. Food is always amazing as well as their frozen margaritas. The atmosphere is always beautiful. Candles and fresh flowers on every table for dinner. We drive 50 minutes just to go here. If you've never been I'd highly suggest going asap!“
“The sushi was very good ?? but for those who are in the mood for something different we were surprised to see the Lomo Saltado on the menu. It is a Peruvian dish with steak ? pictured. That dish was simply amazing. The atmosphere is very chic and a great place for a date. Highly recommend. ?“
“I was recommended this place by a long time local restauranteur. The owners of this truck are HIGHLY respected cooks in the county, especially the Olney area. I was a little surprised by the menu but ordered one item from each "side." I got the cubano sub which is more like a steak and cheese than a Cuban, and the carne asada platter. The food was truly outstanding and that cubano sub really blew me away. It's a delicious, unique take on the traditional Cuban sandwich. The carne asada was wonderful and the portion sizes were huge. Highly recommend coming here if you're in the area. You'll be full all day!“
“Very small place unlimited indoor seating. The chicharones we're very crisp yet tender. The pupusas had a really good amount of filling. The slaw that comes with it could have been better seasoned. Also ordered the birra tacos, which were phenomenal, but if you do not like spicy, ask them to lower the heat. The horchata drink was homemade and was delicious. Give this place a try.“
“A fantastic place with fantastic food and superb service! Some friends and I had come here by pure chance and we were nothing less than extremely satisfied with our choice of a restaurant.I will definitely be keeping this place in mind should I be in the area!“
“My first time here was interesting. Parking is on the back side, but the restaurant faces the front. Their chicken is unmatched. Tasted good the first and second day I ate it. The service was quick and to the point. I felt a bit rushed when making my decision. The place to eat didn't seem like much was put into it, just a few tables and chairs to eat in if you would like. I got the half chicken with red beans and rice with a side of plantain. I love the season of the chicken and the redheads and rice filled me up really good. Overall, I liked this establishment. I would return.“
“Looking for an authentic Honduran food restaurant & this is it. The staff are friendly & knowledgeable about the food even though all the servers weren't from Honduras, but I was assured all the cooks are Honduran. The food was wonderful with large portions. One of the fish dishes was served as a whole fish, head & tail! It was amazing. The inside dining room is small. There is also an outdoor area.“
“We love visiting Las Placitas, it always has a busy vibe, customer service is good. The employees are always happy and seem to enjoy being there. The food is delicious and drinks are fantastic. This place gets packed in the evenings so be prepared to wait for a seat if you come later. But it will definitely be worth the wait.“
“This place is absolutely delicious! It's inside a food hall that is cute and has a quiet vibe, at least during the weekday. Almost everything on the menu is gluten free too! Love it! Wish I lived closer so I could eat here more often.Dietary restrictions: Most of the menu is gluten free because they are made with corn flour. I didn't get the sense that they are a certified gluten free kitchen that avoids cross contamination though. The employees didn't know what I meant when I asked about gluten.“
“Was pleasantly surprised with our meal here. Carne asada had good flavor, and service was good even on a busy night. Some negatives were that the taquitos sinaloa were plain tasting, and the table salsa was watery/lacking flavor. Having lived in Montgomery County for 10 years, Uncle Julio's in Rio Gaithersburg has been my family's go-to for Tex Mex over the years. We've not liked the direction they've gone recently with their menu or pricing practices, so hopefully Villa Maya can remain a great alternative for the foreseeable future.“
“I am home sick and just needed something tasty as comfort food. I had been craving nachos and looked up options for delivery. Lo and behold, J & J has nachos that don't break the bank and are tasty. I'm a fan of keeping simple food simple but they managed to do that while making very tasty nachos. It also included three sauces which kicked up the flavor. The delivery arrived super quick and was accurate so 10/10 for service.“
“Everything was so wonderful the first time I ate here, I came back a week later with a friend. The food is delicious and the prices very reasonable. Last time I had a Relleno de Carne ($8), Sopa de Mani peanut soup with beef ($9), and Mocochinchi peach drink ($4). This time we tried Beef, Vegan, and Chicken Saltenas ($6). There's a reason why they come with instructions on how to eat them. The Coffee Flan ($4) was a great dessert. Looking forward to coming back to try other items on the menu.“
“Loved what we ordered and atmosphere was great! We told our waitress we wanted the steak medium well and it came out perfect and juicy. My chanco con yuca was very flavorful and the nacatamal was great! The queso frito was fine but the tajadas could have been thiner and the tostpones were a bit under cooked and different than what I'm used to. But overall we all loved our meals. I also ordered a cacao that was amazing! We purchased some cheese to take home and some pastries. Will definitely be back again and will recommend to my friends.Parking: Parking free on Sundays“
“NAILED IT!! First Timers and we absolutely enjoyed this place. We were unsure if we could get crispy tacos from online descriptions- as we were “Jones-ing” all week for a Crispy taco. So we called to verify prior to ordering on Uber. Nice young lady answered and told us how to make order. FAST, delicious, hot and so flavorful. We can’t wait to have more experiences, hoping to get the same everything- every time.We thought price point was applicable and size was appropriate. The hot sauce was such a painful- delight!Thank You,The Jones“
“We walked into this unassuming neighborhood restaurant in Bethesda after seeing rather positive reviews, and walked out pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious, flavorful, but not overwhelmingly seasoned. We loved most of our dishes especially the seafood saffron soup, sautéed shrimp with garlic, octopus, grilled squid, stuffed Portobello mushrooms. Lovely desserts got the flan con naranja and the chocolate mousse cake. Highly recommended.“
