“I haven't ordered from the shop in a long time; however, I receive their newsletter. In the past I've ordered from their pizza menu & from their Greek menu given their family background. I've enjoyed their Manny's Feast & Manny's Meat Special pizzas. The pizzas are good & arrived hot. I also love their gyros platters. My suggestion is that they include more Greek dishes to their menu. I absolutely love Greek cuisine. I added a star to my review because Manny & Olga's Pizza is open until 3am on weekends. I'm a night owl and don't eat dinner until late. Bethesda restaurants are normally closed by 9pm. A real bummer.“
“When indecisive, go for the chefs table which includes all of the apps but also an extra tasting per course. Aside from the food which was near perfect, the ambiance is very unique outside dining in a semi enclosed courtyard, railyard bar, and dining in a lodge-like room with fireplace. Some of my favorite dishes were the veggies, surprising because I'm more of a meat eater. Cocktails were excellent but do ask the bartender since not all liquor is documented. Wine list is extensive“
“The most deliciously innovative meal that we’ve experienced within memory. Modern, Greek-accented food, elevated by sophisticated yet subtle use of herbs, spices, dressings and sauces. The menu contains numerous vegetarian offerings, although carnivores will also be happy. Excellent cocktails and drinks, attractive setting, efficient and pleasant service. The sole disappointment: noise. If you’re not enamored with loud acoustics, try to reserve a more quiet booth or visit during off-peak hours.***DETAILS: I was very skeptical about booking at Melina because the menu appeared complex and fussy. My concern was that the results would be discordant and underwhelming. Happily, I was dead wrong. Melina’s chef is one of those rare souls capable of orchestrating a symphony of flavors for the palate. We loved our charred baby gem salad (enhanced by its light and sprightly dressing); the squash app (brightly and unexpectedly accented with pear, black garlic and fried kale), the portobello main (deep-flavored and satisfying) and the lamb neck (generous and succulent.) The bougatso dessert, capped with a remarkably smooth Greek brandy, offered a celebratory ending. Looking forward to returning.“
“In recent years there seems to be a proliferation of small-plate Mediterranean restaurants. But Yayla remains as one of the best, reasonably priced originals in northern Virginia. There is a pleasing range of mezzes, salads, entrees hot and cold, flat breads, spreads, etc . I had a Yayla mule, 3 spreads, lemony rice soup and superb shrimp. Friends chose a range of other dishes. I can guarantee whatever you choose, you won’t be disappointed. Everything is flavorful, fresh and beautifully presented. Wait staff and servers are friendly, attentive, knowledgeable and not obtrusive. Don’t miss the nice selection of creative cocktails, wine variety and desserts. Continued success and best wishes for this popular bistro!“
“Recently, I had a wonderful lunch with my friend to celebrate our birthdays. Service and food were top-notch. Our server surprised us with a complimentary dessert (and no reminder was needed...the restaurant read the notes on the reservation). The booths are so cozy and comfortable with a unique design. I also took takeout home to my family, who loved it.Parking: Lots of free complimentary guest parking spots in attached building on the ground floor.Wheelchair accessibility: I noticed an easy smooth entrance from parking lot into the restaurant... no steps.“
“We had the cookbook tasting menu and everything was incredible. You get to try so many different things! Our wait staff was really on top of everything and our pita basket was never empty. Drinks were INSANELY good. Come here for a good time, and to learn about this wonderful cuisine and chef!“
“Consistently delicious and authentic. I love the fact that the owner is always present and directing the wait staff. It shows in the degree of service that we get. The prices are really reasonable. We always get the 3 appetizer sampler - Greek yogurt, eggplant and fish roe mousse - and then the debate about lamb versus fish. The restaurant is reasonable quiet and always clean.“
“I went to this amazing Greek restaurant, and the food was fantastic! The service was great too. They have delicious gyro, awesome steak, and tasty fries. It's a must-try place for a fantastic Greek meal! Everything was enjoyable and top of everything in the area.“
“This hidden gem offers a delightful fusion of flavors that's as vibrant and colorful as a Mexican mural. This family-owned operation not only wins your heart with its super friendly staff but also caters to a symphony of dietary preferences, making it a haven for vegetarians, vegans, and those seeking halal options. The casual atmosphere, a playful blend of Mexican zest and Greek finesse, sets the stage for a dining experience that's both laid-back and lip-smackingly good.Diving into the menu is like embarking on a culinary world tour, starting in Mexico with the Vegan taco, a masterclass in flavor that proves you don't need meat to create a masterpiece. It's a plant-based delight that showcases the kitchen's knack for transforming simple ingredients into something extraordinary. The Mexican Pizza, a Wild Tacoz signature, is a flavor bomb. Imagine a 12" pizza that shuns the traditional crust for a double cheese-filled tortilla, creating a base that's as innovative as it is delicious. Topped with a protein of your choice and adorned with a medley of toppings including mild or spicy salsa, a three-cheese mix, tomatoes, onions, black beans, romaine, cilantro, and corn crumbs, it's a dish that dances on the line between genius and madness, landing squarely on the side of genius. Then, we set sail for Greece with the Gyro Burrito, a culinary hybrid that's as bold as it is delicious. Packed with rice, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, feta, and tzatziki, it's a wrap that wraps you in warmth and comfort, proving that when Mexico meets Greece, the result is nothing short of spectacular.Wild Tacoz is not just a restaurant; it's a testament to the power of family, fusion, and the universal language of delicious food. With every dish made to order, freshness is the name of the game, ensuring that each visit is as delightful as the last. In a world where fusion can sometimes mean confusion, Wild Tacoz stands out as a beacon of culinary creativity, blending Mexican flair and Greek elegance into a dining experience that's sure to leave you wild with joy.“
“I recommend HOWEVER the last two orders we’ve placed through Uber Eats have been missing items. A little more attention to these orders at your Rockville/Norbeck location is needed. Your customers shouldn’t have to tell you to check off your lists. Thanks!“
“family owned Greek restaurant with big portions and decent pricing. Food comes out very quick, great for a lunch spot. slower lunch crowd during the week, was able to get a table immediately. Olivia was our server and she took great care of us. will be coming back with friends.“
“We have been coming here for a couple of years now and EVERY time it has been a very pleasant experience. The staff is extremely friendly and the food is amazing. BEST gyro meat I’ve ever had. The hummus is good and I like the fries but the real show stopper is the meat. I mean, my mouth is watering while I write this review…“
“Authentic Greek food, amazing ambiance, and kind customer service? What more could you ask for? This restaurant serves amazing Greek food and you can tell they care about the food they serve and are very customer focused. I'm currently in town visiting but I know what restaurant is going to be my regular whenever I'm in town If you haven't visited, you need to, and get their famous gyro pita! You will NOT regret it“
“What a friendly, comfy place to have breakfast! The cheese blintzes were wonderful, the coffee was rich but not too strong and frequently refilled, and the service was friendly, prompt, and efficient. Oh, did I mention the delicious cheese blintzes??? Great way to start the day!“
“Mylo's is my go-to spot. Excellent food & I usually get one of the daily specials. The staff are very kind & attentive. I feel so comfortable there that I enjoy not rushing through my meal and spending time w/my dining companion.“
“My husband and I ordered takeout for Cava Mezze and it was pretty straightforward. Very standard Mediterranean food, nothing too over the top or subpar. Everything was pretty good, I got a classic gyro and was not disappointed! My husband got the chicken skewers which were also well seasoned and yummy. My only qualm is the price point. The small container of feta dip alone was $11, and it just didn't seem like enough for that price despite it being tasty! Overall good food, but you can go to CAVA or any other standard Mediterranean place and pay half the price for a pretty similar experience!“
“Food is excellent. Flavorful and appropriately portioned. Cocktails are crafted and taste great. Service is top notch, attentive, friendly, and accommodating. The manager and server adjusted to accommodate our seating needs on a busy Saturday evening. This involved the last-minute addition to our party that included need for wheelchair accessibility. They opened up the private dining area to make room. They went out of their way to make everyone feel comfortable and valued. We have a new favorite place, not only because of excellent food and service, but because the staff and management were kind, caring, and made everyone feel welcome and valued.“
“Wife and I had a day date without the kids and started with brunch at City Diner, based on online reviews. Had never been there before but I am extremely happy that we followed online advice. Wife ordered the French toast with side of grits while I had the pancakes with side of home fries. Everything was amazing, even for my wife, who is very sensitive to salty food; all of our grub was just right. I'd say the best item was the French toast, followed closely by the home fries (which included peppers and onions). Coffee was also excellent. We finished off brunch with slices of red velvet cake and cheesecake, also both amazing. Cheesecake was the perfect sweetness level, not overdone like many restaurants make it.Service was very friendly and prices lower than any comparable place near us (Ballston). Highly recommend!“
“Don’t underestimate the greatness of this place based on its humble location and signage. Excellent food made with simple, authentic ingredients. It feels like you are eating your grandmother’s food in Greece. One of the tastiest meals I have had in the DMV. I particularly enjoyed the mezze, like grilled octopus, giant white beans (gigantes) and tzatziki. Must return soon to work my way through more the of the menu. Service was also super warm and friendly. Recommend!“
“Iconic carry out with terrific Greek food. A downtown DC institution and deservedly so. Spanakopita and lamb are always delicious. One tiny downside: no time to ponder what you want to order — there can be long lines and the owners keep things moving. Take a look at the online menu beforehand.“
“I don't remember how I found this place online, but am so glad. You'll feel like you're on a treasure hunt and maybe in the wrong building, but go to the G (=LL) floor via the elevators and it's there. Simple decor and the owner is really friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent - I am vegan and he had no problem using tahini instead of tzaziki in my falafel sandwich, which was one of the best I've had! The prices were extremely reasonable and I am just sad it's so hidden away that people won't just run across it without knowing about it. The food was obviously prepared with care. Worth a visit - I plan on returning!“
“Came here for dinner and was very impressed. Everything was fantastic. The atmosphere is cozy and not too noisy. The service was great, and the timing was appropriate. All of the food was prepared well and tasted great. I had the Kabobs, which were tender and juicy, and there was plenty leftover to box up. I definitely recommend coming here if you haven't already.“
“I really like this place for a breakfast meal on the way to work. It's small and not much room inside when busy. Bench top seating along the front windows and maybe one or two outside tables during the nice seasons. Service has been amazing over the several months I've worked in the area.“
“Food is on point i would recommend gyro with the orange sauce on the side , seasoned fries , niko fries the rest i havent tried but they are really good . service isnt much the latin young female that works there is extremely rude nasty and unprofessional the rest were good , atmosphere is calm ,there are a few number of sits and chairs facing the street for a view , the manager is extremely welcoming hard working and an awesome person“
“Whether it is chicken parmesan, a meatball sandwich, or a meat lovers pizza that you desire, Two Chefs is the place to go. And the garden salad is truly delicious. Try the Avgolemono soup (chicken, egg, lemon and rice); it is fabulous. If you like Greek cooking (and who doesn't?), get the Greek vive at Two Chefs.“
“Family birthday gathering, 13 of us, all ages, from the birthday boy, age 74, to the youngest grandchild, age 3, a couple of teenagers and young adults. All were comfortable and happy. Service couldn't have been friendlier, and not overbearing. Everything, just right.“
“Our favorite “basic” neighborhood Greek restaurant, even though it’s not in our neighborhood. Lots of street parking within walking distance. We split excellent homemade spanakopita and fried zucchini for appetizers. We shared the shrimp in tomato sauce and feta app and trout stuffed with spinach and feta as our mains. We shared a large piece of delicious homemade baklava for dessert. Wine prices are very reasonable. Service is very good. Highly recommend.“
“Loved this spot for a late-night friend reunion! The location is convenient to walk or take wmata to and there's lots of indoor seating + some tables outside as well!I visited DC from out of town and wanted to find somewhere with 1) fresh food options and 2) vegetarian options for my company. The food at Zorba's fit perfectly! Customizable options and very kind staff made ordering easy. The food felt really nourishing and tasted delicious on a cold, windy night. I liked how the falafel was firm on the outside while soft and lush on the inside.I live several hours away but my organization is based in DC. I enjoyed the food and service so much that I'd consider catering for the office from them!Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options from falafel to sides to vegetarian platters.Dietary restrictions: ask staff before ordering if you have dietary restrictionsParking: parking is always hardKid-friendliness: kids can eat here, it's casual and would be okay for family diningWheelchair accessibility: this is in an old building so wheelchair access to most of it is difficult“
“We stopped in here for a quick dinner while staying at a hotel nearby. The restaurant is small, but cozy and it was very easy to order. We had a spread sampler with tyrokafteri, taramosalata, and tzatziki and pita and it was very good! It's not often you can find taramosalata, so that was a nice bonus to find that. We also got a horiatiki with pork souvlaki and the salad and pork were delicious. The only downside was that the olives were sweet, which is something my wife and I have never seen before, especially not at a Greek restaurant. Olives aside, it's a good restaurant and one that we would visit again if in the area.“
“Yummy food and nice people. It's quite close to the zoo, and walking to it wasn't too bad even though we were tired after visiting the zoo. We tried chicken and veggie platters, both were flavourful and light. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. We also brought their baklawa home and loved it.“
“Hailing from Detroit, i know my way around Gyro's and Falafal's! This place has both... fantastic! Fresh, flavorfull and satisfying. I can't wait to go back! Cafe style and super clean. Stuffed grape leaves....yes please! If i could give more stars I would.“
