“This is the only smoothie cafe my friends and I will go to. The smoothies are so delicious and healthy, and it's a lovely place to hang out and catch up with my friends.”

“We stopped in Emmitsburg for gas and chow, on our way back to NY, and decided to forgo McDonalds for once and get a pie from Carleo’s when we spotted the store front. So glad we did…possibly the best pizza we ever had! We hit the road and ate the whole 16” pie in 10 minutes and were seriously debating on turning around for another.”

“Got 1/2 bushel of crabs today and they were large and full. Rube's never disappoints!”
“Wonderful that it is on campus. But it's a noisy place even when not crowded. The soft pretzels are great. The Guinness pour is terrible. It's more bitter than canned Guinness Draught.”
“The food is delicious and season just right; I would rather eat there at Mount University than at the regular restaurants in the area of Frederick and Gettysburg. The price and portion is just right for my family and I on every visit.”

“I would like to give a shout out to Kendrick who was working drive thru today 10-2–22 @ 730. This young man went above and beyond what is expected of an employee. He is a fine young man who I am sure will have a very bright future. Keep being you Kendrick!”

“Exactly what I was looking for. Drove by the other day and glad I came back. Hubby liked the chili so much he got two.. I prefer mine with beans and a lil less salt. We both loved the burnt ends (ate them before photos sorry) and the Mac and cheese was sooo cheesy! Their slogan was good food ain’t cheap / cheap food ain’t good but I thought the prices were a little high but hopefully the meat is locally sourced ?. Service was good, bathroom was ehh. As far as the atmosphere.. I did like the variety of seating and cute candy/ claw machines. Taking home the 3 meat combo so I’ll be back an update.
Update 7/15:
The chili gave some serious heart burn lol! But the brisket... yum!!! Tender with a decent mix of meat/fat. The pulled pork was good too, and the portions were generous. oh and the greens were done right, with teeny tiny carrots and potatoes. Burnt ends were the best though. Will be back!”
“Stayed for the first time and it will not be the last. The history and preservation being done by the new owners truly honors the past. Our room was beautiful and breakfast was great. The owners were fantastic and knew a lot of the history. Highly recommend a stay here.”

“I just love Mr.G’s ice cream. They offer the creamiest and tastiest flavors all season long. Coffee is my favorite topped with mixed nuts but the vanilla soft serve with blueberries or just a little hot fudge is a scoop of deliciousness, that comes at a close second. I love Mr.G’s”

“Springhouse Tavern: The casual, atmospheric below-ground Springhouse Tavern at the Dobbin House is our favorite restaurant in Gettysburg. Whenever we visit Gettysburg, this is the one restaurant where we must dine. Its food quality, hospitality and authentic historic environment are consistently wonderful no matter how much time has passed. This time we were here with friends. We enjoyed cocktails on their outside patio while waiting for our table. The service and hospitality on the patio as well as in the Springhouse Tavern was efficient, delightful and helpful. The food was delicious, as always. The crab cake was especially delicious. This place is timeless Gettysburg. ACCESSIBILITY: This is a 248-year-old building on the National Register of Historic Places; needless to say, there isn’t a ramp or elevator to the below-ground Springhouse Tavern. However, other than a couple steps at the top and bottom, the stairs have railings on both sides, the step height is moderate, and the walls are close enough to put a hand on if needed. Even though I have mobility limitations, I was able to access the underground tavern. Once downstairs, there was adequate space for me to get around with my walker.”

“We had our first visit on 1/11/25, it definitely will NOT, be our last! My husband never had crepes, he is now a huge fan! Everything was amazing, I got the Spiced Chai Tea with the Strawberries and Cream Crepe. It was so big I couldn't finish. My husband got a coffee and Little Piggy Crepe, he's in love and already planning a day trip just to go to The Cottage Creperie! You gals Rock !”

“We have gone a few times and always the food was amazing. My son always ask to go here. We went yesterday and the food was amazing as always except for one of the desserts that was very watery. The only thing we didn’t like was the service this time. The lady seems upset and didn’t seem to want to serve us. I even asked for which pie flavor was the best and her response was I don’t eat pie. Very sad this happened because its an amazing place. They just loss a customer.”
