“My husband and I have lived in Galena MD for over 25 years and we have never heard of Double Tap and one of our friends ask us to go there recently and we got directions and figured it was going to be a place with a few people there since it is in the corn field, imagine our surprise when we turned that corner and that place was lit up like a Christmas tree with like 50 cars already in the parking lot this gem of a place was absolutely amazing. The atmosphere was awesome and the people were just so nice. The food was amazing and my husband couldn't stop talking about his Crab cake it was the best he ever had and I had the steam shrimp and it was amazing. This is our new favorite place. “This place is a hidden gem; a charming restaurant located in what used to be the old town hall (c. 1868). To get to the point, the food is very good and I highly recommend eating here.Pictured with this review are some of my favorite dishes: "The Perfect Ten" (6 oz. filet mignon and 4 oz. crab cake), the short ribs, and the crab cake entree all from the dinner menu. All are delicious, with little to no filler in the crab cakes.Wait staff are friendly and attentive.Two things to be aware of: first, the restaurant is small (I think 10 tables), so definitely make a reservation; and second, there is a 3% surcharge for credit card payments. This was not mentioned until after I had already paid, otherwise I would have paid cash.”

“First visit was today but we will definitely be back. Great vegetarian options as well as plenty of meat and seafood dishes on their extensive menu. Our veg pakoras arrived piping hot and crispy, and our paneer tikka masala was very flavorful even at the mild spice level. Garlic naan was perfect. Service was excellent. All in all we had a wonderful lunch today and we can't wait to return for dinner.”

“Absolutely the best gyro place I’ve ever had in my life. Middletown is not at all known for its food, most places around here now are chains and franchises. One thing they all have it common is the food is just blah. Delaware Gyro knows flavor, and it shows. Their food leaves me with a smile on my face everytime. Thank you for being amazing guys!”

“I absolutely adore Pop In! Super surprised to read they were open on Easter Sunday, so my husband and I made a quick visit. This is a true hidden Middletown gem. The ice cream pops are just incredible. My fave is a make your own with an Oreo pop dipped in cookie butter, covered in fluff that is torched to perfection, and dredged in sprinkles. We don’t indulge often, but when my husband and I want something sweet, this is the answer!”

We come here for breakfast almost every weekend we are in town, it's not too crowded but plenty of seating if it did get busy for breakfast. Their subs are huge, we ordered larges for lunch and it turned into a meal for dinner as well.”

“Right in the middle of high street Middletown is a prime spot to get an afternoon ice cream. This Häagen-Dazs shop is the perfect place to grab a treat with a friend or loved one. If you catch it the right time “right now” ? you can get that good pumpkin spice milkshake. It’s like drinking a pumpkin pie.”

“Stopped through on a late night, close to midnight. Read on Google they were open til 2a. Pulled up, it was bright, welcoming, and spacious. There were even young guys dining inside having a good jovial time, and the grill was smoking. Good sign, right?! Lol, to us, that meant they're getting good business. “The place was pretty quiet. But when we walked in and ordered the lovely lady who was helping is got us all our goodies we needed, food came out fresh in about 20 minutes. Definitely not pre-made and sitting around. The Ulmimate seafood boil and 2 drinks was $80 for my husband and I and we left absolutely stuffed! We even were offered fantastic corn bread too! I have never had food of this style before and this has set my expectations through the roof. I will recommend this to anyone I know who is going through the area!”

“I’m not too adventurous with beers, but there are a couple here that I like. My wife and I come here for lunch/dinner and the chefs do a great job. I recently tried their pimento cheese burger - it was fresh, juicy, and melty goodness. The cheese board appetizer was simple and delicious, and my wife liked her chicken pasta. It’s a cool place for family, dates, and single folks alike since there are plenty of tables, a nice outdoor patio, and an extremely long bar.”
