“We went there for lunch today. We were happy to see how diverse the menu is. We each got a glass of wine and I ordered the Soft Shell Crab in a corn 3 ways sauce. The wine was a big red and the crab was enormous. The sauce was very well thought out and delicious, a perfect pairing with the crab. My wife got the mushroom risotto. I was impressed that the chef used Maitake and trumpet mushrooms in the preparation. The portion was quite large. The wines they sell are fairly priced and they have ratings on some of the wines.“

“We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at New Heights, as always. Great kids menu! Highly recommend tuna poke tacos, pork belly buns as appetizers and steak medallions are absolutely amazing! Cherry whiskey sour if you want something sweet, it's almost like a liquid desert. Perfect! Thank you!“

“Ambar's newest location does not disappoint. If you know Ambar, it goes without saying the food is amazing. new offerings on the menu gave me some new favorites to add to my already long list. New cocktails for a new address, yes and thank you! The design esthetic is light and refreshing...And the 2nd floor ceiling is an instagram dream. Easily 5 stars.“

“I'd come back for a slice. Located inside the Western Market on/near GW University. A little hard to find, yelp map doesn't match actual location (used google maps instead). Ordered a half margarita half pepperoni pie. Was hungry so ordered a slice of margarita pizza while we waited. The slice was awesome!!! The crust was crispy airy and delicious. Disappointed a little with the crust on the whole pie... it wasn't crispy at all... a little chewy. Tasted like two completely different pizza spots. Service was friendly. There was room for small or medium sized groups with seating in the back or out in the market place walk way. They had a large selection of drinks including beer/wine/etc.“

“The food was really good. They provide big portions. I ate half of the Apollo grain bowl and saved the rest. The amount of food you receive and the quality of the food is worth the price. Each dish seems pretty customizable. I will definitely stop by again to try other items. The parking situation isn't great.“

“Omg, District Falafel - what a real treat! As a Palestinian, I rarely eat at ME restaurants cause it's easier, less disappointing and always better to just go to mom's! My sister/friend introduced me to this place and I enjoyed it so much that I will even tackle the beltway to go into Bethesda from VA! The manager (M'hammad)/counter/table (Edwin?) staff were extremely nice, friendly, patient and just really kind! Pricing was quite reasonable & the same regardless of lunch/dinner - a real bonus. Easy parking, casual and just the right size inside. We had an amazing set of beautifully presented dishes before us incl: Adas soup (thinner than I'm used to, but SUPER delicious!), the falafel was so fantastic that I took a few dozen home to share w/family (will definitely try the spicier ones on next visit!), chicken shawarma & kifteh were nicely flavored & tender, and all the side dishes, hummus, baba ghannouj, salads, pickled items, pita bread hit the mark. Thank you for everything - Can't wait to come back!“

This was more than just a great customized salad but an incredibly enjoyable experience thanks to his engaging personality.“

“Been wanting to get in to Ruta and finally made it this week. Absolutely a fantastic experience. If you are unfamiliar with Ukrainian food, don’t be afraid to let your server guide you. They will steer you right. If you do know Ukrainian food, you will feel right at home. Delicious food in a fun space—and don’t sleep on the cocktails.“

“The food here is AMAZING. I'm actually glad this place is far from me and on the expensive side because if it was closer and cheaper I'd be eating here constantly. My table got the waygu egg rolls, Mac and cheese, broccolini, Hawaiian steak, jerk crab cakes, and the jerk lollipop chicken. All of it was on point. Drinks are pretty expensive for what you get. That was probably the only disappointment. Music is a little loud for my liking but it is a minor nit in an absolutely amazing experience.“

“The service has declined a little over the years, a trend which began even before COVID. But maybe we got spoiled. All GAR locations are still usually better than those in this price point and we go to this restaurant once or twice a month, so that ought to tell you something!“

“Wow what a beautiful and cozy bar. The staff were nice and friendly. The drinks were great, especially the paper plane. And the burger and chips were tasty! I hear the cheese and charcuterie boards are really good so I’ll go back for that next time. Highly recommend.“

“My wife and I were stuck in Washington, DC because of a weather related airplane cancellation. Since it was Christmas Day, our options for dinner were limited. We were very pleased to have chosen the Ottoman taverna. The food was phenomenal. The service was impeccable and I would recommend this to anybody looking for a dining experience in Washington, DC. While it is certainly not cheap, it is not terribly expensive either. The food was unbelievably delicious. Oddly, our Lyft driver who delivered us to the door happened to be Turkish and was telling us how great the place was as we arrived.“

“The staff were all welcoming from the start. The food was AMAZING! The owner came to our table to check on our evening. We were very happy and I must say the Filet Mignon with balsamic glaze was one of the best I’ve ever had and I’ve eaten at 3 star Michelin restaurants . The evening was important to us as we got engaged that day. I highly recommend this wonderful little jewel of a restaurant !!“

“My wife and I went here after work today. It was great! We had mango juice and a couple of mocktails. They have an assortment of alcoholic options, we just wanted mocktails. We were a party of 6 and tried three different pizzas, and all were delicious! We also tried both the gnocchi dishes (formaggi and sorrentina), they were ok. The best dish of all was the tiramisu! We liked it so much we had to order multiples. Friendly staff, good amount of parking..“

“The food is always good. I’ve been on a lamb burger kick lately. There are good options for brunch or dinner. There’s also events some evenings. I attended an open mic night for poetry a while back and it was great! So much talent in the space and encouraging of emerging and established artist alikeWheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is fairly accessible. There are double front doors and no button to open them so it may be difficult for electric chairs and larger chairs. The back event space can be cramped but I was able to be seated comfortably. Though I could see if being tricky trying to leave for a bathroom break once folks pack in. There are stairs to access the stage so that would be a big barrier for open mic nights“

“Very good bar/vegan food. Prices seem all over with place, with some items overpriced and some quite cheap. Example: burger for $16, but a generous plate of eggplant fries + dipping sauces for $3. In total, it was about $30 for a burger, fries and a beer for one person. Maybe I’m just not used to DC prices, but it felt expensive. Good vegan food, though, and fast, friendly service.Vegetarian options: Full menu is vegan“

Very generous portions of top quality meat on bread that was fresh and delicious, as were the other toppings.Prices are quite reasonable, especially for an upscale business park location. “I've been going to Sundevich for years. Tasty sandwiches that seem to be pricy but they are fairly big. Great for sharing or eating alone. My favorite is the Seoul sandwich but the Athens sandwich with lamb is also delicious. The bread is always soft and the toppings are fresh. It's a casual and chill place to eat during lunch. Service has always been great for me and I've never waited too long.“

“Stopped in here on a work trip and loved it! Portions were a little small, but my coworker and I ordered multiple dishes to share so it worked out just fine. Our server and the whole staff were prompt and very kind. When they noticed we were splitting dishes they started bringing out our orders already split and played on two plates for us! So above and beyond hospitable! We were seated in the covered outdoor portion which had lovely floral decor and lighting. I'll be back next time I'm in D.C.“

“We came here for our monthly family dinner night. We wanted to try a new spot. Ambiance - Cute. Really liked the seafood art in the walls. And the smell when you first walked in was incredible. We knew we were going to eat well. Food/Drinks - Hubby and I really enjoyed our drinks. I got La dama. He got the mango mojito. And my daughter also liked her strawberry lemonade. My favorite thing was the corn salad, but it was hard to pick a favorite because everything was so good! Service - 10/10. Everyone was so attentive and they made sure I got good footage for my blog. “I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Grill from Ipanema, and it was a delightful experience that brought the taste of Brazil right to DC. The atmosphere of the restaurant is vibrant and inviting, with Brazilian music gently playing in the background, which really sets the tone for an authentic experience. The star of the show for me was the Picanha. This cut of beef is a popular Brazilian specialty, and it did not disappoint. It was cooked to perfection—juicy and flavorful with that deliciously crispy fat edge that makes Picanha so special.Service at the restaurant was commendable. The staff was very attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed without being overly intrusive. They were also happy to explain the dishes and their best pairings, which I appreciated as it enhanced the dining experience.Overall, my visit to The Grill from Ipanema was a fantastic experience. It’s a great place to enjoy good food and immerse yourself in Brazilian culture without leaving DC. I’ll definitely be going back to try more of their dishes!“

“Finally visited this sub shop. Had read about it on Eatery. Glad I went. I got the Teamster Italian Cold Cuts) and the Never Been Cheddar (Roast Beef). I also ordered 2 whole deli pickles. The Teamster reminded me of the subs I used to get at the Italian Store in Arlington. Wonderful. Eat it for lunch. The Roast Beef I will save for dinner. The large pickle was perfect. I will return. They are a bit pricey but I think they are worth it. The only thing missing were napkins.“

“$1 coffee is the best thing I’ve ever seen! Yes, you can get an 8oz cup of coffee for only $1. That means you can get 40 ounces of coffee here for the same price as a 12oz cup from Starbucks! That alone deserves 5 stars. The food is also very well priced, and you can get breakfast for only $3 (or less). The spaces is also good for chilling or studying by yourself or in a group. “Love the Asian Fusion Bowls with the tasty big flavors Salads with Asia flavor, they have kimchi, purple rice, Asian spiced meats and dressings. It's one of my favorite places in the Rockville/Bethesda Area. When I'm in the mood for a salad with pizazz, this is the place I go. I get the child-size for lunch and the full size salad for dinner. The service is good, the last time I stopped by, I received a free miso soup. Thank you, for the generosity.I love their variety of teas and juices. They have table downstairs, tables upstairs and some outside. One of my favorite dessert that they offer, is the coconut milk pudding, it's so creamy and delicious. I hope they bring this back soon. Located on the outer edge of the Pike and Rose neighborhood, and close by to the garage this is a lunch favorite pick up spot for me. “Outstanding Thai, especially if you need spicy. We were celebrating multiple life events. The staff was welcoming and anticipated our needs. My only concern was the condition of the restaurant, the ceiling tiles were stained and sagging. Mom reported a sanitary & spotless ladies room.We ordered appetizers. The curry chicken appetizers were wrapped in a delightful flaky crust that melts in your mouth. My son ordered medium heat drunken noodles. The dish was hot, even for chili-phile and spice-iphile in our party! The seafood dish -found on the Pad Thai page -was loaded with shrimp, mussels, squid and scallops for $20! The courses arrived hot, together and quickly. The coconut chocolate chip ice cream was divine. Topped off the meal with Thai coffee and tea. All of this fairly price.
