“Recently moved here from Honolulu, and this Bakey is a taste of Home. High-end quality Cakes with the best pecan pie world wide. I’d say, this is the only Bakery in Mt. Airy, and I’m sure proud of it.”
“Great place with great beer and just the right ambiance. My wife and I go here every week. The owners should be credited with bringing an old eyesore of a public building back to life. I'm sure it cost a fortune.”
“Great place to catch a variety of American and Asian cuisine. Service is fast. Dine in or sit at the bar. Great place for Family and Friends.Vegetarian options: Rice”
“The new location in Mount Airy MD is really well done. The tacos are THE BEST and most authentic around. The sopes were also delicious ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Totally worth the wait!”
“So excited about all the great things that are happening with Black Ankle. My husband and I are wine lovers and really have come to love Black Ankle. The wine is seriously the best in Maryland. I am a current wine club member and we recently had the most delightful time visiting your vineyard! Matt was our tasting expert. We learned it was his first time doing the tasting with guests and he is so remarkably knowledgeable, kind, fun and patient. Good customer service is hard to find these days, let alone outstanding! And that is exactly what our experience was!!! He's a great new addition to the team and we cannot wait until our next visit! Thank you!!!!”
“Called to see one of your Friday regulars Terry. Tried a couple of your ales thought the bitter was great, as that's to my taste. Terry bought me a growler of stair way. Very nice a tiny bit on the sweet but will have it again. Back to England tomorrow but when weather gets warmer we will come back up. From DCBeautiful place also great setting.”
“We had fantastic service. The ribs and burnt ends were pretty good. The sides were amazing. Prices were reasonable.Edit 10 months later: Still amazing. You can't go wrong with anything on their menu.”
“Wife and I came here randomly on a holiday Monday. Could not have been more impressed with the wine quality and the service! Brian took care of us and tasted us through the entire experience. Reds were excellent and the meads were solid as well. Small little tasting room which made it more VIP. Will be back again!”
“The food was good. Service in the dining area was great. Had a young guy there who did a great job. Very customer oriented. Looked like all the employees loved working there.”
“I love this place I eat here all the time it is my go to place to eat and takeoutVegetarian options: Many vegetarian mealsKid-friendliness: Very quick service so I didn’t have to wait long”
“We were very pleased with this small restaurant in downtown Mount Airy. Our wait was only about 5 minutes on a Saturday around 11:30am. All of the staff were friendly and appeared to work well together to keep things flowing smoothly. My husband had an omelette and I had the handmade fried chicken steak with sausage gravy. We both enjoyed our meals. If the opportunity arises, we would go back to this great breakfast stop.”
“Boyfriend loved his steak, he claims he finds places they claim to cook steak but it's never done the way he likes it medium rare. And I loved the green beans!Vegetarian options: They do offer saladsParking: There's only about 10 spots but with Dunkin doughnuts nearby and packed, we had to park by puff n stuff and walk downKid-friendliness: They have a kids menu sectionWheelchair accessibility: There is a sidewalk ramp to enter in”
“What a cute bistro! Their menu looked pretty great and after my meal I am VERY excited to come back in the future. Thankfully it's right by my favourite thrift store too. What we got: Frozen pizza dough - 5* delicious and easy to make your own pizza at home with this dough! House Made Creamed Chip-Beef - 5* wow. Just wow! This was a fantastic meal. Rich, filling, full of flavor. It's made in store with fresh ingredients and you can tell. I got mine with biscuits and they were divine. They didn't look like much but they were toasted to perfection and had the best texture. I'd highly recommend giving this dish a try. Western Omelette - 3.5* the omelette was on the smaller side but was fluffy, the vegetables were crisp, and it was satisfying. We got it with challah bread (which when sliced looks like toast, haha) and that was delicious. Would probably not get it again due to price and size ratio but did not regret trying it. Dr Brown's Root Beer - very good Dr Brown's Cel-Ray soda - literally tastes like celery”
“Nice little spot inside an Exxon gas station. Very friendly service. Food is good. Prices are okay. Not a place to stay and eat, but there a couple of chairs. Best for take out. Highly recommend the tacos de asada, chorizo, and any of the tortas.”
“We had an amazing time yesterday. The staff were so helpful and friendly. I enjoyed their west coast IPA (sharing the universe) and their bier de garde (interesting twang- sour with pineapple). They had lots of places to sit outside and we really enjoyed watching and listening to the farm animals. Looking forward to coming back for their bluegrass festival in May.”
