“Great food and great people. You can easily eat here as a vegetarian - great tofu, fried rice, etc. If you want to keep it dairy free, you can ask them not to cook with butter or yum yum sauce. We did Hibachi, just two of us and the chef happily put on the show as if the table were full.Love their tofu, rice, noodles, vegetables, Japanese beer, etc. But the people on top of that… they are so sweet! You can tell they’re genuinely happy, nice people. One of the owners, a lady, is so sweet and gave us the best goodbye on the way out, then proceeded to open the door after we left to say ‘thank you guys, bye!’ It was a Monday so a slower day for them, and that was so kind. They take great pride in ensuring you enjoy yourself and your meal.We were there while a family was also for their sons 21st birthday. The birthday show with the gong and singing was so sweet.“
“I don't get up to this area much, but my brother told me they have the best Crabs! He was not lying. Every Maryland trip, I try to get Crabs from J&T. I've also gotten a pound of their fresh Jumbo Lump Crabmeat and made Awesome Crabcakes and some MD Crab Soup. The Crabmeat is kinda pricey but it's like the Steamed Crabs - The Best within 50 miles. I'm gonna search my phone for some photos before I post this 5 star review. Hopefully I saved some on my phone. And considering how far they are from the Bay, their Crab prices are a Steal. Can't go wrong buying any seafood from J&T.“
“The food was surprisingly good--although items like the cheeseburger and pot stickers appeared frozen rather than fresh, they were quite good. The prices were reasonable, although some of the seafood items like crab cakes were more in line with what you'd expect from a substantially more upscale restaurant. The main dining room was at about half capacity at p.m. on a Saturday night. Despite this, we had to wait about 15 minutes for a seat for our party of three. Maybe they were understaffed? Our server was a bit of a space cadet, but friendly. All in all, a decent choice if you're in New Market.“
“Been getting Crab Meat for crabcakes since they opened. I always got the Old Bay crab classic mix. Recently they don't have it and have their own mix. It was very tasty but a little spicy. You really can taste the mustard which is the most important part for a crabcake. Crab Classic you can't taste the mustard.“
“The crab soup was absolutely amazing! My coconut shrimp was pretty good. My husband's crabcakes were very delicious. The sides were just OK.Parking: We were there on a Sunday at lunchtime and it was a packed house! They had taken reservations for steamed blue crabs and that probably had a lot to do with it!“
“Easily one of the best local spots around Mount Airy/Damascus.Family friendly dining room with excellent service, great bar, and a take out section with a small liquor store where you can order food for carry out and pick up some beer while you’re there. The American food never disappoints and the Thai food makes me come back for more. Just a great spot, always happy when I’m there and full when I’m leaving.“
