“The aroma alone proved worth the visit to this Central American inspired bakery, and then the display case presents fresh colorful options to tempt your eyes. My Spanish remains incapable of accurately naming many offerings but Churros and Turnovers looked, smelled, and tasted fresh when we at them. I will go back for more baked items and a specialty hot chocolate or coffee. Pay no attention to the negative Yelps where the writers apparently confuse different Latin American cuisines- go and follow your nose.“
“I loved this spot! We went around 4 PM on a Tuesday and it was lovely, quiet, and delicious. The staff clearly love being there and provided top notch service, with several recommendations. The not-pizza’s are pretty big, so one was enough to split when we ordered hummus, the carrots, and the olives too. We are so lucky to have this incredible Palestinian spot for delicious food, pastries, drinks, and even coffee!!“
“Amazing products! We showed up less than an hour until closing and they were out of only a few items.I was so excited to see Pandan, Mochi, and Ube on the menu! The kouign-amann was SO GOOD and crunchy/sweet/caramel/flaky. So worth the wait. The other patrons were in really nice and friendly!!“
“Baked & Wired received so much attention from various websites and reviews - we had to pop by! Georgetown is known for its cupcakes, and I would like to know why!We visited on a sunny Sunday afternoon. We found the the line extending outside the store but it moved quickly. We used the time to visit its website for pictures and to make a decision (we would find later the staff was lacking warmth!)We ordered Strawberry and Vanilla Satin. While the strawberry was touted to be top seller, we found it was way too sweet. We shaved off the frosting and found a deliciously moist cupcake with a fragrant strawberry taste. Vanilla satin topped with dark chocolate proved to be a perfect pairing.Adequate seating in the cafe with one restroom at the back. Good for afternoon break while exploring Georgetown! Also bought home the granola which has a subtle hint of coconut. It was yummy but the hefty price tag $17.50 will mean not a second purchase…“
“The food was good, but definitely not worth $57 a person on a Thursday night….We ordered four dishes (fermented cabbage toast, arancini, thai fried chicken, and scallop crudo) and had a drink each. Portions were small, even the “entrees.” Will not go back anytime soon for dinner. Our waiter was very nice though.*Came back over a year later for dinner because of an InKind Coupon. The $50 off $50 made the meal more worth it. But still expensive for what youre getting.“
“We walked by this place not really looking to eat but the exterior stopped us in our tracks. We looked in and saw all the pastries and decided to make a quick pit stop. We got a Pistachio Meringue Roulette to share. Mistake. Should have gotten one for myself. The flavors work perfectly together. I also got the Strawberry Matcha to wash it all down and I’m still thinking about it. Wish they would bottle that stuff!“
“This location is a nice gem in Georgetown - I frequent here and treat myself when I want a delicious bake good - this past visit I had a delicious cinnamon bun - it was absolutely delicious and of course a nice cup of hot brew! Perfect location for the cookies as well - never too early or late in the afternoon for nice cup of coffee and a delicious bake good!“
“Stopped by for the first time and got the Normande tart. It was delicious. I also got a lemon cake, but we're saving it for later. The staff was friendly and very helpful. He recommended eating the tart a bit warm to really get the best flavor, and he was right. It tasted amazing. We ate the lemon cake for dessert, and it was very good.I will definitely be back to try the other pastries.“
“Amazing croissants. So flakey and full of wonderful filling. A great value! The mango pannacotta was amazing! The value for the price was fantastic as well! I briefly met the owner. The sweetest person you will ever meet! If I lived in town, I would be here ALL THE TIME!“
“Wow, I love this place and am counting down the days until my next visit! It's a good thing I don't live nearby or I would be here all the time! Pistachio croissant is amazing and coffee is on point! The staff is so wonderful too. Definitely pay them a visit if you can!“
“I visited the West End location with my husband while visiting DC and had a phenomenal experience. Aside from the food being absolutely to die for, the customer service is really what impressed me. At the register, we were greeted by an older black woman who was so kind to share suggestions and explain the menu to me despite being very busy. It truly made the ordering experience a breeze. My latte was delivered by a younger light skinned black male and I am not sure where he received his customer service training by but by far he’s got it down pat. After delivering my order he told me, “have a nice day, okay?” but it wasn’t just a pleasantry, it truly seemed like a genuine request. I am beyond impressed with the food, ambiance, and customer service provided!“
“Lovely little spot in Georgetown for authentic French baked goods. They use mostly French ingredients to get as close to the “real thing” as I’ve had in DC. Staff is friendly, efficient, and there is a nice patio in the back to enjoy your coffee.“
“My beautiful grandson is in the NICU at the Children’s Hospital. Today as my daughter, her husband and grandmother arrived they were greeted with a delicious box lunch from your establishment. We’re not sure of the organization that gifted us this lunch so we say THANK YOU!“
“Very nice roadside farmer's market! Plenty of parking is available, and they offer fresh squeezed lemonade during warmer months. The market staff are very polite and there is something for everyone there. The fresh cut watermelon is out of this world delicious (and I'm not crazy about watermelon). They have sweets, salty snacks, jams/marmalade, meat/poultry, sauces/seasonings, drinks and cheese. Prices are pretty in-line for a market, so a little higher than a Target or Wal-Mart, but the experience shopping at Miller Farms is very nice.Highly recommend if you're in the area!“
“10/10.Very cozy place. You have to queue because it is always full. But I'm not surprised, since the food they make is incredible. The sandwiches left me speechless, to say they were good is a huge understatement. The hot chocolate they serve was also delicious. Ideal to warm up on cold days.I would definitely return to Washington just to have breakfast here.Great!!“
“Best cookies ever! We got the 4 pack which included the cinnamon role, brownie cookie, birthday cake, and chocolate chip. They were delivered in 15 minutes — warm and delicious! The cinnamon roll and brownie cookie were our favorites! We will order regularly.“
“Chocolate pistachio croissant - 5 stars. so good and will be returning for this. Any place that has pistachio pastries is a place for me. Morning bun - very flavorful (cardamom & lemon) but a bit too dry for me. 3 stars Espresso & tonic - I did not like this at all, and will definitely get a safer drink option next time. There was a line at 130pm which I was surprised about, but it moved very quickly and we had no trouble finding a seat. Cute place, will be returning!“
“I love Pasha Castle! All of the treats are delightful. The staff was very helpful, and we were able to taste test some things to help make our decision- which wasn’t easy with some many delicious options. The Pasha Special is to die for, and the Turkish Delight options make me feel at home. The only downside to this place is that there are limited seating options, and the atmosphere and design are very minimalistic for those who might want to eat there treats while here instead of taking them to-go.“
“Cute little coffee shop with the flakiest chocolate croissant I’ve ever had! Got there a few minutes after opening and picked up a still warm chocolate croissant, mango danish, and spinach feta danish? or croissant ?… can’t remember… Would definitely come back to try the other pastries !“
“The food was really good - couldn’t be faulted! Service was excellent too.My only gripe was the amount of single use plastic items in the cafe. Everything from the plate to the cup to the cutlery was disposable. We need to do better by our planet.“
“This place is dangerously close to our place and my partner and I are obsessed. The raspberry and apricot cakes are unbelievably good--and I'm not even a fruity dessert gal. The chocolate cake is the best in DC and I'm dying to try the coconut almond one they have, but it's only for special order. Can't wait for the next occasion! Also, the woman who is usually behind the counter is always patient with me as I struggle to make my mind up about which slice to order every time! I <3 Sharbat!!“
“I stop in here almost weekly, and the lattes have been great! The first time I went I also had the coffee cake which was really good & soft as well. Even at the end of their day I was greeted with a cheery bonjour and was able to enjoy the pleasant atmosphere of a great coffee break. I have to note that on my visit last week I left without being able to order as it seemed as though the one person working was taking out trash and must’ve not seen me & the other gentleman that were perusing the shop…but I’m sure it was just an oversight as I’ve been told that this area can be pretty slow on Tuesday afternoons. Really great coffee, and a really great experience otherwise. Bonne chance! ?“
“The selection is limited, but their breads are incredible. The cranberry walnut bread is the same bread found at le diplomate. My favorite bread is the black sesame harissa. Expect to wait in line. Only about three people fit in the store at a time, but it’s worth it.“
“We couldn’t resist! Everything was delicious and unique! My son’s favorite was the strawberry cream filled pastry and mine are the black sesame bun (not pictured, devoured) and the tahini cookie AND the truffle and ham pastry. Parking at the National Building Museum where their pop-up is was easy! Seriously, you’ve GOT to give their pastries a try!“
“High quality pastries as is with the staff who are extremely friendly, helpful, and professional. Try the croigel sandwiches here as well. The menu updates from time to time with new items. They would knock it out of the park EVEN more if they offered a strawberry croissant.“
“Upon entering the facility, I was showing my mom what cookies were available for the week, waiting for the kiosk when one of the employees asked if we would like help. They took our order and showed us the beautiful cookies. I had a jammy heart cookie that was sweet and delicious!“
“I got the chocolate croissant, and was really surprised when I realized it was a whole wheat croissant. The first whole wheat croissant I've ever had, and it really adds a nice nutty flavor to the croissant. The texture of the inside is also a bit chewier than your average croissant, with a lovely crisp on the outside. I just wish there was a bit more chocolate, but the croissant itself was wonderful, and I'm super glad I got to try the whole wheat. I also got a cortado, which was just ok. This is definitely a bakery first, so would highly recommend stopping by and grabbing some of the pastries!“
“Fourk’d is the absolute GEM of Padgett’s Corner. The food was AMAZING. If you like salty, greasy and bland food in minuscule portions: YOU WON’T FIND ANY OF THOSE HERE @ FOURK’D. Today was my first visit, and after my last bite, I’m going to slap everybody’s Mama? You’ve been duly notified. You’re gonnaL?VE this!!!“
“A solid baked goods shop. Great customer service. They had three section:outdoor seating area, indoor seating and your typical order and lay set up. My experience at the spot was brief. I order a bagel with cream and cheese. They just have one option for cream cheese( original), no option for toasted, and you have to prepare it in your own( spread the cream cheese). The place looked pretty busy for a Friday mid-morning. I may come here again to try their other selection besides the pastries.“
“I am thrilled to share my experience with Tango Pastry, a true gem in the world of pastries and delicious treats! From the moment you step into their café, the ambiance is warm and inviting, creating the perfect setting to savor their delectable pastries. Tango Pastry's dedication to delivering top-notch quality and excellent service is evident. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready to guide you through their mouthwatering selections. I can't wait to join them for their Grand Opening! I highly recommend Tango Pastry to anyone seeking a delightful pastry experience. Trust me; your taste buds will thank you, and you'll be eager to return for more of their scrumptious delights.“
“Really great food - they have really yummy breakfast sandwiches which are always hot off the panini press. They have just really great baked goods too, beautiful cakes and cupcakes and then also traditional bakery items like croissants, cookies, etc - which are all insanely delicious. I think I've tried about everything from Buzz at this point and can say the food and coffee is fantastic. It's also a really great work environment so I come here to work from my laptop pretty often. The tables in the back facing the entrance are great - there is great lighting there for zoom meetings and it's never too loud in there.“
“A great, casual, local cafe and bakery with amazing pastries. We keep trying new things on the menu every time we go and everything so far has been delicious. There are good savoury and sweet options such as the smoked salmon croissant and the brioche donut. You can also grab whole cakes and small gifts if you’re entertaining at home. The staff have always been friendly and helpful whenever we have been there. The cafe has a laidback atmosphere - I often see people working or catching up in there.“
“Great spot to pick up some sweet treats. But their coffee is not the best... The interior ambiance is very clean, simple, and pretty to the eye. The service here is great and the staff are all nice. I would recommend this spot more for snacks/ food/ treats, than coffee.“
“We literally just flew back from New Orleans, and immediately longing NOLA's cuisine. We drove all the way from Baltimore in a rainstorm because of the crazed reviews. The reviewers stated that you MUST try the spiced cider, biscuit breakfast sandwich, deviled eggs, and the king cake. I opted for the biscuit breakfast sandwich, spicy potatoes, and spiced apple cider. WOW, just wow--the biscuit breakfast sammy was celestial. I wish I would have ordered two. Clean unisex bathrooms. If you plan to order beignets, don't wear black or dark clothing. Service is only at the counter due to the order grab and sit system. Self-bus dining style. Easy parking across the street which if you come on the weekends, after you eat or grab coffee at Bayou, you can skip over to the Arlington Farmer's Market.“
“I look this place and wish the chain opened in NYC. They've got good coffee, good baled goods, a bright energetic interior, and a wonderful lunch menu. Fast casual so no table service you order up front and they give you a number. Someone brings the food to you when its ready. Its never a bad idea to stop here.“
“Ordered a King Cake for Mardi Gras from MB Bakery and I wish I could leave a 5-star review. The bakery staff were lovely. Excellent customer service, very responsive to emails, friendly and courteous when I came by for pickup. The cake itself, however, was a disappointment. It was very dry, dense, and chewy, nearly stale, like something from a box in a supermarket, not fresh from a bakery. Perhaps I'll give them another try one day, because they did seem like a very good operation, and maybe they're better when it's not a peak-rush occasion like Fat Tuesday and Valentine's overlapping.“
“I know what you're thinking: this is a a coffee bar located in the lobby of an apartment building. It can't be that great, can it? Well, you would be wrong. This is my neighborhood coffee spot and I have been here so many times I've lost count. The coffee you get here is consistently well made. I haven't had everything on the menu, but the breakfast items (pastries and made-to-order dishes) are top notch. The funfetti cookie and classic breakfast sandwich deserve special mention. The front of house staff are incredibly nice and usually down to chat as much or as little as you'd like as they make your drink. Even better, this is now one of the first locally owned and operated coffee shops in the DC area where the workers have come together to bargain and set standards for their working conditions with management. It's well known that union-made coffee inherently tastes better because you know that baristas have power and a voice when management inevitably starts to cut corners and prioritize the profits of their budding coffee empire over the health and safety of their employees. (I don't know the owners, I just know how incentives work.) So sip in solidarity, my friends! If the quality declines here it'll be because management has decided to cultivate a hostile work environment to try and undermine the solidarity and hope it's employees have worked so hard to build.“
“This place is a community. Come in the morning and observe local Ethiopians getting together for coffee and meals. What a place!Staff is friendly. Barista serve flavorful coffee using Ethiopian beans and in high volume. When they offer to coat it bombolino in sugar, take it. Prices are affordable as well!Next visit I'll have to try their food. Only had enough time for coffee and sweets today.“
“We were staying in the area for a few days and stopped here twice, once for pretzels and the second time for the breakfast sliders. Both equally delicious! Definitely could eat a breakfast slider every morning. Staff was friendly. Service quick.“
“I tried this place via a neighbor's recommendation and it was sooo good. The cupcakes are fresh and moist and a really good size for the price. The buttercream is not overly sweet, but still sweet enough. These are literally my favorite cupcakes ever. The shop is in a great location with cute decor and friendly staff. The inside feels pretty instagrammable this time of year (cherry blossoms make the prettiest backdrop!).“
“Due to the rave reviews, my husband and I stopped to check out this place before getting back to our state. I'm not a coffee drinker, but am learning about coffee and most, I do not like. It is true! Our café lattes are delicious and very smooth! This is one of only two coffee shops where I would return.“
“Expensive Pastrys and expensive Coffee great Place to hang out if your going to Law School... Managers and Staff are polite.. Service is Good they Have Breakfast there the place is Busy and it's of a Major intersection in Washington D.C 4 Blocks Over near the Capital.... Everything Taste Good... And the Bathrooms are very Clean... Place is Run correctly with Nice and Attractive People..“
“This is an amazing little pastry shop!Best blueberry muffins I have ever had!Full of berries!Had a sandwich also that was excellent! There was a line out the door when I left!So I stopped back by for some blueberry muffins, they were all sold out by 930 am!Those muffins are starting to get a reputation for amazing!“
“Enjoyed the breads and desserts that were bought. My Daughter is a GF from wheat allergies. They're are alot of bad GF breads out there but rise had there combinations of flours and other ingredients down. Everything tasted like their gluten counterparts there creating. Just wish there was a way to make a croissant, flaky like an original croissant. 5☆ for this bakery“
“Junction Cafe is a hidden gem! The food is absolutely delicious, with a diverse menu that caters to various tastes. The ambiance is cozy and welcoming, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing meal or catching up with friends. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. I highly recommend trying their signature dishes and indulging in their freshly brewed coffee. Can't wait to visit again!“
“We are so glad to see this cafe do well in our neighborhood. I believe in cafes in every neighborhood. We walk our dog every morning and grab hot chocolate and coffee when we walk by this place. They have recently redid their interiors. Looks much spacious now and very welcoming. With my drinks, I often get their samosa or spinach puffs. It's so good. For lunch, my go to is their Ethiopian combo. They have 5 different veggies and recently added meat as well. Absolutely delicious! Depending on how busy they are, expect to wait for the Ethiopian entree. Worth it.“
“?Love this place! Pretty, woody, cozy, and surprisingly have plenty of seats Not a fan of the food, and the special drink (the lemonade on pic 1) is terrible.➡️The only thing I recommend is the weekend special (pic 2 left), and maybe the iced coffee latte“
“This small tucked-away gem, on Grace St, is so yummy and a must for everyone who enjoys tasty treats, friendly service and a giving mind-set. Working with and supporting veterans to take them to the next steps in their post-military journey is the mission. The cafe menu has allergy-friendly options, pastry sandwiches, and fresh-baked cookies and cakes. Thank you for creating a great program and thank you to all of our veterans for your service.“
“I found Sweet Almond at a wedding expo but used her services for a corporate event and she didn't disappoint. I ordered a variety of macarons and Leah was great to work with from the beginning! She was very responsive, accommodating, and even dropped of my order early. She's also so sweet and wonderful to work with. Her macarons were soo good and everyone also loved them. I will definitely be ordering from her again!“
“Outstanding customer service. And to tell you the truth, would you believe? This place has been in business for over 30 years. Still looks the same. You remember when Doctor petcenter was downstairs? And our dogs would escape and run all over the place. Great place Worth every penny!!“
