“Cookies are amazzzzzing. I love getting a box of 6 and trying them out. I cut pieces and my whole family tries them. I honestly don't think there is a cookie I didn't like. I may not have preferred the flavor but never down right nasty lol. I only gave 3 stars because it's not really a sit down place and I can't speak for all locations but the one I normally got to in VA is always clean. I'll get photos next time. I eat them so fast I don't get the chance lol. ,?“
“I stop in here almost weekly, and the lattes have been great! The first time I went I also had the coffee cake which was really good & soft as well. Even at the end of their day I was greeted with a cheery bonjour and was able to enjoy the pleasant atmosphere of a great coffee break. I have to note that on my visit last week I left without being able to order as it seemed as though the one person working was taking out trash and must’ve not seen me & the other gentleman that were perusing the shop…but I’m sure it was just an oversight as I’ve been told that this area can be pretty slow on Tuesday afternoons. “I am visiting NOVA to house-sit for a friend while she’s on vacation, and needed a coffee ship while I’m here. I wanted to avoid the chains and go local. So I tried this one from a google search. INCREDIBLE. It’s so good and the bankers items are delicious. I have gone everyday since being here. They are very friendly and the line is long but moves very quickly. It’s just one of those fun little local things you have to try. I am hoping to move to DC in the next several months, and have this on my list of places to keep in my phone. 10/10!“
“High quality pastries as is with the staff who are extremely friendly, helpful, and professional. Try the croigel sandwiches here as well. The menu updates from time to time with new items. They would knock it out of the park EVEN more if they offered a strawberry croissant.“
“Highly recommend! Sweet Pia is a local baker in Alexandria. Sometimes I get overwhelmed placing an order, but not with her system. The cake and cookie forms are both straight forward and thorough. She’s very responsive and gets back to you within 2-3 days (as mentioned on the forms). My experience was wonderful from start to finish. I had a last minute change in my schedule that caused a conflict with my original pick up date. I immediately reached out to her explaining my situation. She was friendly, understanding and flexible. My niece’s 8th birthday party was under the sea themed. I ordered the medium sized lemon raspberry cake flavor, vanilla buttercream and raspberry curd filling along with a dozen regular sized and mini sized vanilla-almond cookies. The cake was moist, firm and the perfect combination of sweet and tart. The cookies were whimsical to look at, they were absolutely delicious. The hint of vanilla-almond flavor made it even more tasty than the everyday sugar cookie. Also, the cookie was baked to perfection. It wasn't crumbly or overly crispy. It had an amazing consistency that seemed to almost want to melt in your mouth. Everything was beautifully decorated!“
“Ordered a King Cake for Mardi Gras from MB Bakery and I wish I could leave a 5-star review. The bakery staff were lovely. Excellent customer service, very responsive to emails, friendly and courteous when I came by for pickup. The cake itself, however, was a disappointment. It was very dry, dense, and chewy, nearly stale, like something from a box in a supermarket, not fresh from a bakery. Perhaps I'll give them another try one day, because they did seem like a very good operation, and maybe they're better when it's not a peak-rush occasion like Fat Tuesday and Valentine's overlapping.“
“Really great food - they have really yummy breakfast sandwiches which are always hot off the panini press. They have just really great baked goods too, beautiful cakes and cupcakes and then also traditional bakery items like croissants, cookies, etc - which are all insanely delicious. I think I've tried about everything from Buzz at this point and can say the food and coffee is fantastic. It's also a really great work environment so I come here to work from my laptop pretty often. The tables in the back facing the entrance are great - there is great lighting there for zoom meetings and it's never too loud in there.“

“Lavender Moon has been my go-to spot for cupcakes since 2013. There’s something about their cupcakes that are so different that it makes you want to keep returning. Maybe it’s the texture of the cupcake or maybe the unique flavors they offer, but one thing I do know for sure is that they use very good ingredients. You can literally taste the difference.They have a few staple flavors like vanilla bean with lemon curd that you can never go wrong with. However, I always try something unique like pistachio cherry or chocolate bourbon. Sure, I like some flavors better than other but I’ve never had a cupcake I could complain about from them.I would consider this place a boutique cupcake place since their flavors as well their interior design is unique and quite whimsical. The staff are nice but I think they may be nicer to regulars than new customers from my observation and input from my friends when they pick up an order for me. It’s a small place so I wouldn’t suggest bringing a large group here unless it is for take-out.Cupcakes are a priced fairly but definitely way more expensive than the ones you buy premade at the grocery store… but you’re paying for high quality ingredients and the taste is 100 times better. I can’t ever complain about their prices because it is simply worth it.Dietary restrictions: They also have gluten-free cupcakes.Parking: Parking can be a bit tricky if you’re looking for something for free- but it’s Old Town Alexandria so it’s to be expected.Kid-friendliness: I’ve seen parents bring their kids here for cupcakes and it’s always so cute to see their faces light up when they see that they have so many flavors to choose from.“

“The place looks a little run down. But! Here you can buy real delicious honey and bird's milk cake. I believe that one day I will be able to taste the Prague cake, for some reason they have not been making it lately. In general, the choice of dishes is large. There are also vinishret and samsa and various other pastries. Don't be afraid to go in, it's really delicious.“

“Love this local place. The food is great (bring back the chicken teriyaki sandwich please!) and so is the staff. The lattes are my favorite. What makes them better are the ingredients. The milk (dairy and non-dairy) are all high quality. I found out in my last visit that Addy makes all the syrups in house and they rotate for the season. Everyone needs to try the Irish cream!! But they are all awesome“
