“I have been here several times and each time have been happy with the food. Tried many different items on the menu and they all were tasty. My main reason for writing this review isn’t for the food though, it’s about my last experience at the restaurant. I stopped there with my daughter this past weekend. It was literally 100 degrees that day and after we ordered a man walked through the door about to pass out from heat exhaustion. He was clearly down on his luck. The lady who worked their acknowledged the gentlemen when he walked in and ask was he ok. He responded yes he was ok but wanted to get out of the heat for a few minutes and was it ok if sat down for a few minutes. She responded yes and gave him ice water. She then asked if he was hungry and the man said yes but he didn’t have any money right now. She told him that she would buy him a pizza and not to worry about paying her back. As I sat and ate while watching their interaction, it filled my heart with joy watching the compassion being shown to a complete stranger. I will for ever be a fan of this place as long as that lady is still working there!“
“Nigel needs a raise! He fluently took the Spanish guest orders with grace. I just knew I was going to interact with him but his manager asked him to prepare food ? The girl who took my order was so bland, how you go from Nigel to bland?! She got on a mask so you can barely hear her. From what I see Nigel needs to be the highest paid employee over the entire staff today even manager/shift lead. && I didn’t even get a chance to interact with him, this review is solely off a visit today. “I hope I'm spelling her name right.Laveisha (aka) "V" . I surely hope she's the manager because if she isn't they need to make her one. My order wasn't right and fries was hard and they forgot to give me my drink. The rude unbothered smart mouth lady that took my order had an attitude and closed the window on me. I ended going inside because I was pissed and wanted to see her face ,plus get my order right because I was ready to just get my money back. But when I tell you that Laveisha took over ,greeted me with a smile , apologized and got my order right. I felt better,she helped calm me down,Now that's top customer service. She's most definitely unforgettable. Thank you V.. Y'all need to let go of Ms nasty with the long braids in the corner running her mouth not caring about customers orders .she need to take lessons from Ms V. You go girl. Showed us what to do - you get fresh crabs on your table covered in these spices from heaven and then you barbarically tear them apart.The guy we had - skinnier white dude. I wish I knew his name. He took all the guess work out and showed us exactly how to get the most meat AND brought us a live one!!Very cool experience.“
“Ben's Chili Bowl (Washington DC) We had Ben's Chili Bowl on our list. With over 4,000 reviews, I was shocked to see a place so popular have under 4-stars on yelp. Ben's Chili Bowl has been around since the last 50's. If a local busy can stay open this long, they're doing something right. I had their Jumbo Beef Chili Dog and Fries. I don't do spicy, and their chili has a kick to it. I found myself sweating even though it was 40 degrees outside. The chili was good, the dog was okay, and the fries were perfect. If I'm ever back in town, I think I'm going to have their Chili & Rice. And of course, I'm not skipping on their fries. There was a line when we arrived, and it goes by so quickly. Food was served even quicker. Be prepared, know what you want, and tip the cashier.“
“Had the opportunity to experience this dining venue for a Sunday brunch,recommended by family member. The brunch menu at first was a little confusing as to what our quantity of options we were entitled to, once that was clarified enjoyed a delightful meal of fried chicken & waffles -brussel sprouts-deviled eggs -berry mixed topping pancakes -crab cakes and a mimosa. The only thing that wasn’t too pleasant was the waiter assigned to us -he didn’t seem very customer friendly-I don’t even think he introduced himself. However his slack was taken up by a wonderful young lady by the name of Allie -very friendly -took the time to explain the menu -when an ordering mistake had been made -corrected it and provided a alternative, she made the experience so much better -excellent customer service“
“Yes! I love the concept. I love how it’s a hand made patty and the burger was cooked perfectly. In addition, you have an option to add items to your burger if you do the build your burger option. You can also choose their preselected choices which look really good. I chose to add sautéed onions, bacon, and Italian sausage. I will say although the Italian sausage was good, I wouldn’t add it again; it didn’t hurt the burger overall. You choose your seasoning (I chose basic), sauce (house bbq), lettuce and tomato. I also ordered the seasoned fries (garlic parmesan). I was curious so I asked for the spicy ranch. It was pretty good.“
