“My family & I came here Saturday evening with not so great weather but it was so worth it. Our server was Jackie W & she was great! The restaurant was super busy, but she never dropped her smile or excellent service. We will be returning.“
“I come here because I love the reciprocity with the bartenders, the happy hour and because I grew up as a youngin near the original location in Parkville. I’m now living near this one and love it the same as the one I grew up near. The bartenders here are truly in a different class than 90% of bars across the country. I’m a frequent traveler ;)“
“We were fortunate to have Shannon, who is a manager, wait on us. I'm confident that under her leadership and that of the other managers, all the wait staff is as excellent! The food is fantastic. I had a soft shell crab special and my dinner guest had the famous crab cakes that were wonderful. Yes, I got a hunk of bread in the piece of crab cake he shared, but it was delicious anyway and I could see that the cake was predominantly lump meat. For dessert, we had the locally made ice cream that is phenomenal. The flavor "Beautiful Struggle" (I think?) is a tangy, delicious berry-flavor that is like sherbet on steroids. It struggles to be ice cream vs sorbet and it's amazing. So is the chocolate. We had the whole main entrance room to ourselves on a Saturday evening which was great as we had a service animal escort, which was welcomed and accommodated beautifully. So appreciated! Highly recommend Pappas... you'll have a tough time running out of options no matter how often you visit. I'm looking forward to a Steak Chesapeake. Don't forget that across the intersection is their takeout place! And, if the generous parking happens to somehow be full, it's OK to overflow there. The main entrance is in the back of the building as are the handicapped parking spaces.Parking: Large parking lot to rear main entrance. That's where handicapped spots are. Overflow into the Pappas takeout restaurant lot across the intersection (same side of the street). Absolutely ample!“
“great local gem! cash only, cheap food and drinks. There's 5 coin operated tables, the 3 to the left are usually where the real shooter play but everyone is welcome. Sunday and Monday nights are league nights so pay attention to which tables are being used. This place has alot of love and character. Rarely is there ever an issue, argument or fight. The bartenders pour heavy and the juke box runs an eclectic playlist from old soul, to trap, to alternative rock, reflective of the diverse crowd that come there. They use to have a koi pond out back but ppl kept falling in lol. All good. Still a great place to go. See yall Saturday for the 9 ball tournament! starts at 730“
“Best wings in the city! I generally get take out, and that experience can be a tad frustrating. You can’t order online and I’ve never been successful calling ahead because they don’t answer the phone. But when I get in there, the staff is friendly and they get you out quick. The wings are good enough to keep me coming back.“
“The food is delicious I got the crab trap which is a fried tortilla bowl with corn, tater totts & 1 of the best crabcakes ever with their crabby sauce over top. Photo is of the crabcake sandwich its basically all crab barely any binder it's so good. The service was fast a very friendly group. It got crazy busy for a Tues so obviously a popular spot. The only critique I have is the restroom stalls are pretty small.Parking: The layout of the parking area is a little tricky as it's shared with another business.“
“When Slim was alive and the front and back of the bar were connected, you could eat fried chicken cooked in black cast iron skillets; listen to Slim talk about gambling back in the day, and dance the night away.Alot has changed but what remains are good people enjoying Ravens Football, pulsating rythems, and beverage.A great example of the Baltimore neiborhood bar.“
“HomeSlyce Pizza is one of those places that just feels like home. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the staff always make you feel welcome. It's clean, hospitable, and they really know how to make a mean pizza.Speaking of pizza, let me tell you, it's fantastic. Whether you're in the mood for a classic slice or something a bit more adventurous, they've got you covered. And the best part? It won't break the bank. The prices are reasonable, which is always a plus.I have to admit, I'm a bit bougie when it comes to food, but HomeSlyce Pizza ticks all the boxes for me. It's the perfect spot for a casual date night or a quick lunch break. Plus, it's got that Baltimore charm that you just can't find anywhere else. One thing to note, though, is that once you tell your friends about this place, they'll probably start going without you. It's that good. But hey, it's worth sharing the love.Overall, if you're looking for a taste of Baltimore and some seriously good pizza, HomeSlyce Pizza is the place to be. You won't be disappointed.“
“First of ALL!!! If you been to the old DDL this upgrade is EVERYTHING! The atmosphere, the attitude of the staff, drinks food & crabs is 10s across the board. Let’s not even start on the dj? idk if he’s always there but Sunday he vibes! Definitely our new spot!“
“Don't come expecting a lot. It's like a neighborhood bar. The regular price on the menu is a little pricey. However, they had a happy hour (not listed anywhere) that was reasonable. I had the catfish sandwich with fries and wings (drummets) with fries ($10.00 each). The food was good and along with a decent drink (Tequila Sunrise).“
“Great time with my work family! Took our last minute reservations to accommodate a party of 8. The waitress was very attentive and friendly. Great atmosphere and so much to do! It's an adult game center! So many pool tables! Food was good and the portion was bigger than I expected. I will be back again!“
“Very clean Environment?., fast service ? great food, I ordered fries and wings. And the wings were fried hard but not salty. I have no complaints. They have a bar if you're looking for drinks. However, I don't drink that much kinda Just beers, so i'm really. Can't give my opinion on a Cocktails at the bar.“
“It's a great bar to hangout and the vibe is pretty great! Screens are new and they will play whatever you want if there is no major game going on!Bartenders are really cool and easy going! One of the few "non-college" bars in the area!“
“I've been going to Jillys my entire life, and my mom and grandmother and uncle before me! The original building burned down and they rebuilt it recently- it's totally different inside but it's still welcoming. The food is good- however they were out of egg salad the last two times I went in. They have live music and daily specials. It's a no frills local dive bar with good food.“
“Great time, standing room only due to Ravens NFC game! Owner acknowledged that I had been standing a while and offered his seat to me. Super impressed, way to go for super attention to detail during an extremely busy time. In addition, all young ladies on staff were sweet, communicative and handled a large rowdy crowd with ease. Will be back!“
“Four of us decided to come in for dinner on Easter Sunday after attending the O's game. We wanted to make sure the meal would be great bc it was also our dad's 81st birthday and we didn't want another disappointment for him since the O's lost to the Angels. My sister is a semi-regular here and said it would be a good choice so we decided to give it a go. The meal started w warm slightly sweet yeast rolls and butter which were tasty and took the edge off. We all chose the side All American salad as our premium side with our entrees. I chose the basil vinaigrette dressing and loved it. Others enjoyed their blue cheese and ranch selections. For entrees, I got the 6 oz filet w a baked potato. This was a great choice and I even had leftovers. Our dad got the 7 oz sirloin and he was very happy with his selection. My brother got the chicken marsala over wild rice w steamed broccoli, delicious. And my sister got the pork chops in marsala sauce w mashed potatoes which was equally delicious. We were all stuffed so no dessert (even for the birthday boy), and we all agreed that we would definitely be back soon bc this meal was so good. Side note, we got all of this food for around $95 pre-tip so it was also a good value (esp after spending over $63 at Camden Yard for four hot dogs, three bottles of water and one fountain soda). Thanks for a great meal All-American Steakhouse, see you soon!“
“Very friendly welcoming from bartender, Rochelle. We glanced at the menu before arriving. There is a TOGO that is separate from the Turp’s bar/dining. Excellent food. I can see why this place has positive reviews. It feels like a neighborhood spot and a travelers’ spot. Wings were wonderful. The sweet potato tots were delicious. Signature Viccino, pretty solid. Thank you for the great food and hospitality, Turp’s! Until next trip.“
“My children and me have always liked this franchise. Since 5 months ago HomeSlyce has come to Towson. The people inside are super nice. There isn't much with ambiance with this small location. They do have tables inside and that's how we chose to eat our pizza. The pizza never disappoints and this Towson location delivered. HomeSlyce is one of the best pizzas in the area. Don't sleep on this location for your pizza cravings. It's a must try if you've never been to a HomeSlyce location. We will definitely be ordering pizza here again when I'm in the area. Till next time.....“
