“The food was delicious and the service was great. I order the loaded skillet nachos for the 4 of us and it was so good i regrets shearing them lol jk. It was delicious i do highly recommend this nachos. I also order the combo fajitas add shrimp. I usually don't like the mexican rice and i was hesitance to try it here but i was glad i did it was fresh not hard and the taste was amazing. The steak in the fajita was soft and well seasoned. Our waitress was very attentive and the rest of the crew in the restaurant were very friendly . The ambience was nice not to loud but not to dead, I will definitive go back. My complements to the chef.“
“I can say the food is amazing the service as far as I know it was great the atmosphere because we haven’t been in the actual restaurant to eat but we ordered for Delivery was amazing. I got the taco salad with beef and my son‘s father got. He ordered some red Colorado notes that we got extra chips. We got flatbread everything on the side. Great review so I can say.“

“Food was amazing as usual. I got a chicken, rice, bean, lettuce and queso burrito. Kaeya helped me make it like a pro. She was professional, respectful, fast efficient and even washed all the tables in the seating area when we went to sit down, all the while helping incoming customers. I will be returning. The atmosphere gets a 4 for their loud off the wall music docking them a star. I was told it's corporates decision, so that should change. Otherwise great visit.“
“Guthries is hands down the cutest little nook in Lewiston! The vibe is speakeasy meets craft lunch and I am HERE FOR IT. They have a soft spot for vegetarian/vegan options without sacrificing the flavor, ask for their homemade hot sauce, you won't regret it. Everything is very fresh & made to order, and the baked goods are out of this world delicious but usually fly out the door long before lunch time, fair but sad for the late riser like me, lol Everyone that works at Guthries is kind and funny and friendly, 100/10 recommend.“

“South of the Border is a hole-in-the-wall type place in Lewiston located across from Busytown Bikes (which was a bakery back in the day). They have approximately seating for 30 or so, but are very popular for take-out. This is a go-to place for my Dad and I tend to tag along. The staff is very friendly and the ambiance is the typical Mexican style with complimenting decor. Food is made fairly fast and the quality of the food is decent. The plain burritos are made with ground meet, somewhat seasoned, the refried beans were as expected and the rice was a bit on the dry side like it had been sitting around. You get plenty of food which is why they are a popular spot. If you are looking to satisfy those Mexican cravings, this is a good spot to hit. I won't criticize it for not being fully authentic, because they don't claim to be. They advertise americanized style Mexican and that is what you get.“

“I was born and raised in Arizona and most everything that passes from Mexican food here I’m sorry to say is not Mexican food. It’s the Maine version of what they think Mexican food is. This tastes like the Mexican food you would get in a taco shop in Arizona or Southern California.“
