“My husband and I ordered a lobster roll and also got two lobsters (buy one, get one free, so a total of two). The food was incredibly delicious! I believe their lobster roll surpasses any I've had elsewhere, and their lobsters were also exceptionally fresh. If you order lobsters, be prepared for a bit of a wait (approximately 20 minutes), during which you can explore the nearby docks and bridges, which offer beautiful views. You might also consider ordering the lobster roll and lobsters separately, and enjoy the lobster roll while waiting for the lobsters. The only drawback (though not the restaurant's fault, of course) is that you'll need to find outdoor seating, so if it's a busy time, windy, or raining (as it was when we went), it might be a bit challenging for eating (we saw a lady requesting them to pack her items in a sealed box rather than an open paper box, which might be a good idea), so plan accordingly!“
“There are quite a few " smart casual" dining options in Ogunquit and I cannot claim to have tried them all, but , of those I have sampled That Place stands out. It is a small town average floor plan that lends an air of intimacy to a roomy vibe. The service is highly trained and knowledgeable but without being pretentious. As for the menu, it is large enough for choice but simple enough to suggest specificity and care for each dish. Escargots seem to be out of favor these days but here they immediately caught my attention and did not disappoint! Neither did the generous and perfectly cooked pork chop. Utterly delicious! My Hendricks martini arrived with a slice of cucumber as garnish- a stroke of genius- and has since become my sine qua non ( if you can persuade the bar tender to supply the cucumber!) Go on spoil yourself!! You'll thank me afterwards.“
“Our food was great as chef perfectly accommodated my request for light garlic in the shrimp scampi. My wife loved her stuffed haddock. These were part of the Sunday special: good sized entree and blueberry pie for $18 which is cheap for just the entree alone. Nice decor and our server Shannon was fantastic. We'll be back!“
“The food was delicious. Despite being shorthanded the night of our visit, this restaurant delivered what they promised. Pizza was five-star, fresh fish prepared perfectly, meat balls and sauce like Mama used to make. A refreshing dining experience in Ogunquit. Honest and attentive service. We will be back to this place. Go and give it a try. Share a bottle of wine and some really good, fresh food.“
“Came here for a quick lunch while visiting Ogunquit as "Beach Fire" was allegedly one of the top rated restaurants in town. It was a bit difficult to find parking on a busy Sunday afternoon, but we found a spot and headed in. The service was average, nothing to write home about. We were seated with five minutes of our arrival and the whole dining experience took close to 45 minutes total, which was standard. I'm not much of a seafood girl, so I opted for the "Rancher" sandwich which came with smoked chicken, bacon bits, melted cheese, mixed greens, tomato, and ranch. The smoked chicken was flavorful, but I would have preferred it to be just a simple slab of grilled chicken with pepper instead, because the smokiness was very overpowering. The homemade ranch, however, was extremely delicious and I yearned for a bottle to take home with me. The mixed greens added color and texture to the sandwich, which was appreciated. I also opted for a side of baked beans, which were delicious and had a bit of BBQ tang to them. Overall, the sandwich was decent but pretty messy, so make sure to have napkins nearby! We also ordered lobster rolls which sold at a market price of $29, which stood close to average for New England this season (I believe the range is $25-35). It was very tasty and fresh, but would have been served better warm instead of cold. The portion was fair, though the side dishes were bigger than the main course (as pictured). The fries were so-so, but the side caesar was one of the best Caesar salads I've ever had in my life. Beach Fire clearly knows how to do their dressings. Overall, I left satisfied and ready to take on Ogunquit!“
“We came here for an evening and had some drinks with Brittany, had great service and convo, came back for breakfast and had an absolutely AMAZING breakfast with again great service and I dare say one of the best breakfasts we’ve ever had! Highly recommend, if I could give this place 10 stars I would!“
“Great place tucked away in town. Has an upstairs patio outside and indoor seating. Food is great and reasonably priced. Also, friendly service. Definitely recommend anything to eat here.Parking: Parking is a little small and off the main road behind the main buildings in town. Not too many spaces, but there is paid street parking as well. Great restaurant overall.“
“Had pretty decent dinner here when we visited. Make sure you give yourself enough time to beat the crowds of people in the evening. Pretty cool to go up the pool and choose your lobster among the dozens available. They also certainly know how to make a generous portion size.“
“This restaurant is absolutely wonderful. The location is extraordinary. The service is perfect and the food is delicious and creative. The bartender John is personable and makes great drinks. The hostess, who sadly I didn’t get her name was very friendly and very accommodating in seating us. The waitress was also just as great. I highly recommend this restaurant. We had a wonderful, memorable, delicious dinner. The view is gorgeous.Wheelchair accessibility: They have a lift on the side of the stairs.“
“We had a nice relaxed Breakfast here while staying at the hotel off-season. Jazz music in the background, nice waiter, good food. The view in the background makes it extra special. Would eat here again. (The entrance door open was on the south side, the other doors were locked.)“
“Had lunch overlooking the ocean. Beautiful scenery and delicious lunch. Had the lobster roll with a side salad. The lobster roll was overflowing with lobster meat and very little mayo. Our server was friendly and polite. Must place to eat when in the area.“
“We ate at the Front Yard Saturday 3/23/24, our meals and service was excellent. The Octopus we had for an appetizer was tender and so delicious. Our meals were delicious also, I had the Lobster and Shrimp with papperdelli ale vodka and my wife had the seafood baulabaise. Jenni was our waitress and she was awesome.“
