So glad an amazing bread bakery opened one block from my apartment.My partner is celiac and there is absolutely no gluten inside the house. I have been known to make sweet&sour cabbage soup and then run down to the bakery to buy a fresh (and still warm) baguette to enjoy with it while I sit on the front stoop.Incredible croissants (all of them). I dream about this bread. It's perfect. I lived in NYC prior to moving to Portland, and I would put this up against the best of anything there. The pastries are also excellent, although they are usually sold out by the time I get there. This place is a real gem, and it's clear that Barack's obsession with his craft has led to something special.

Great spot in the west end. I go here typically on the weekends for a quick breakfast and a coffee, the baked goods are amazing! The staff is really friendly and the minimalist but warm atmosphere is very welcoming.
