“We had an awesome experience at Marcy’s Diner. From the moment you walk in the door you know this is the spot. Everyone was super friendly, the setting is very casual and the classic rock music playing was very nostalgic for us. Our server was friendly and attentive. The vast menu and prices are amazing, and the food is soooooo good. This was a top 3 all time break fast experience for both of us, can’t wait to come back.“
“This place has it figured out. I am often hesitant to spend this much because a lot of the time the quality doesn't match up but this place was amazing. Best steak I have ever had and I have been to Delmonicos in NYC. The atmosphere was great and the staff were very courteous and knew the menu in and out. I live in Portsmouth, NH but will venture back up here to dine here again.Kid-friendliness: My 5 year old liked it a lot and they have a couple kid friendly options. My daughter got the fanciest penne pasta with a butter sauce I have ever seen.“
“Definitely one of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time. Insanely high quality meats, fresh bread and cheeses. We had the roast beef and turkey sandwiches. Both incredible. Ingredients matter and so does organic. This place proves it. 2 thumbs up“
“It is a very cool and hip spot to have a meal but the only thing that was lacking for me was the meal itself. I never return food unless there is something really really bad with it but my waffle was cold though it still tasted great. I'll give them the pass on the cold waffle because it is a very busy restaurant and there is a very good reason why it is a very busy restaurant and I would definitely go back again but I said what I said and I give it four stars“
“Made a reservation for an anniversary dinner and was not disappointed! Super cozy romantic vibes. Wasn’t suuuuper impressed with the food but everything was good, the drinks and tiramisu were amazing, the employees were nice, and the ambience was great!“
“Ordered through a delivery app. Next time I'll likely go in. I like providing that context to explain that I haven't been inside the location yet. Also, I ate this like an hour ago and am already hopping to Google so think about that in terms of how positive I was about the food ?Reviews speak for themselves. Amazing food, you can tell they source from quality suppliers because of the way my food tasted. The stew had a balanced amount of beef and vegetables which is what you want, the Lemon Herb Chicken sandwich was almost overflowing with chicken but it wasn't overpowering because it had plenty of other stuff in it as well. They clearly don't skip on the serving sizes, I was stuffed after half a sandwich and my soup.Another big plus is that whoever is running the account here clearly cares, which businesses may not realize but customers like me care about quite a bit. I like supporting cool people, and the way they respond to reviews is great. Will definitely be going back and definitely recommend.“
“We have been going to this restaurant and the downtown location for 15+ years. Consistently good food, good service and comfortable setting. Our waitress was pleasant and solicitous. Apps, entrees and dessert was a 90- minute experience. Carpaccio was excellent as was my seared tuna and I split an orange crème brûlée. Two parties in our group visiting Maine from our west had seafood pappardelle and the other had the duck. The port trio was terrific with my husband giving the waitress carte blanche with the ports!“
“Jenn with the bar was an absolute delight and every course was so complex and delicious. Their lobster roll is probably one of the best things I’ve eaten in the last year. I love the open kitchen and how smoothly everyone seems to work and flow together. This restaurant is definitely worth the hype!!“
“Cute brunch place, we showed up maybe 15 mins after it opened and it was all full on a Saturday.Fried were good and so was the speckled axe coffee! We tried the Cuban sandwich and the Reuben, both of which were just ok and a little too salty. They have spectacular bread though.“
“So glad an amazing bread bakery opened one block from my apartment. My partner is celiac and there is absolutely no gluten inside the house. I have been known to make sweet&sour cabbage soup and then run down to the bakery to buy a fresh (and still warm) baguette to enjoy with it while I sit on the front stoop.Incredible croissants (all of them). The challah, focaccia, sourdough, and rye are great too. ( I just now realized how often I go).I used to make my own sourdough breads but obviously had to give them up when I fell in love with my partner. Barack said if that ever changed, he would get me some sourdough starter. Such a nice guy.“
“The pace of food delivery was uneven. The apps arrived unusually fast, then the wait between apps and the entrees seemed excessive. Some of the greens in the salad had brown spots and the very tough root of the greens was was not trimmed properly. Otherwise, the food was very good. Overall it was a good experience, but we weren't blown away.“
“Awesome brewery that was military themed. The decoration was perfect. She'll casings, challenge coins, military inspired beer names, just very well put together. The beer was great too. I mean, decor can only get you so far but they had great beers to go with a great atmosphere. The bartender was top-notch as well. Cheers guys!“
“what a Gem, probably the best breakfast sandwich I have ever had. The staff were so friendly, the highlight was being walked through the pastries and cakes made by their insanely amazing and talented baker. I cannot express how good the pastries were, we ended up bringing a bunch back to Nova Scotia. would 10/10 recommend a visit here.“
“All the recent bad reviews of this business is the result of them being targeted by a private facebook group of antivaxers upset about the mandate. Most do not even live in Portland. Most running the group 1k strong are the same leaving the reviews. Feel free to DM me if you'd like the receipts or the names of the people going after you.“
“This pub has quickly become my new favorite! As you walk in and seat yourself at a table, you'll sense the local charm. The food is consistently fresh, and the draft list boasts an impressive array of unique options. The fried pickles were a standout – apologies for the picture taken post-indulgence! I personally loved the steak and cheese, though my husband found it a bit small; he's eager to return for the crispy fish and chips. The falafel sandwich had the right portion size, but it could use more sauce and veggies (not pictured). The fries are delicious, and the burgers are satisfyingly thick (also not pictured). Gluten-free buns are an option. My son raved about the wings, though he felt they were a bit pricey. Discovering this gem took us far too long, but we'll definitely be back!“
“Becky’s Dinah nothin finah! Becky’s is an institution in Portland Maine - it’s been there forever. The turnover is quick so you usually don’t have to wait long. The food isn’t particularly special, it’s diner food - but it has a charm to it and it’s a must go if you are in Portland Maine. I always get the blueberry pancakes - I think it’s their best dish“
“My first time at HighRoller Lobster. If I could I would give it 20*’s. A sensational 4z loaded lobster roll with a side of lime mayo & a side of lobster ghee. Both add-ons were awesome. I can’t wait to return again & again. I now understand the hype .Kudos to you!!“
“I got a blackberry vodka and some garlic fries, and they were both so good! There was only 1 lady working the whole place alone. Props to her for doing great with all the larger groups that came in (a group of 10 came in when we were eating) . Everyone's food and drinks were great. Good little spot“
“I have been meaning to try Tomasos for some time - what a mistake to not come sooner. Who doesn’t love hot sausage and cold beer? We found a small table and thought we’d just have drinks, but went for food after seeing the menu. We were blown away by how awesome it was for such “simple” bar food. Service was amazing, everyone was exceptionally kind. Drink selection incredible, lots of really nice liquors on the shelf even though I stuck to beer. Tomasos rocks.“
“I have to update my review. Still 5 stars. Tonight we ordered lamb chops and cheeseburgers. My wife raved about the lamb chops, perfectly cooked. I had a cheeseburger which was also really good. I think Volcano Grill is a hidden gem. People need to give them a try.“
“My wife and I love North Point. Great cheese plates, drinks and atmosphere. My only gripe is their nachos used to be amazing and unique. I used to tell everyone about them. We went last night and the nachos are now not any better than a dive bars attempt. Really disappointing. North point is still great regardless but definitely hope to see the food quality come back.“
“This was a great venue for our wedding reception. My wife and I were blown away by Ina and her staff. Ina (the wedding coordinator) is kind of like that aunt you can't get enough of. She made sure everything was perfect and made sure our vendors were all on the same page. I would recommend this venue to anyone who needs an affordable alternative that will make your special event planning a breeze. Thanks to Ina and everyone at the eagles!“
“Shout out to our guy Jeremy. We had the best dinner at CBG in September, and then found some of the coolest hidden gems around Acadia thanks to Jeremy taking the time to come back to our table and share his recs— we loved Flying Mountain ! Thanks for the good food and incredible customer service. Hope you’re well!“
“The Armory Lounge is a classy place located within the Portland Regency Hotel & Spa. We stopped by for some dessert and after dinner drinks. The orange cremesicle cake was awesome! This is a great spot for date night or a sophisticated drink as well.“
“This place is great for room service or eating in the restaurant. Friendly staff, friendly guests, and multiple comfortable places to sit and chill. I stay at the adjacent hotel 3+ times a year because of the food options, bar and location.“
“The menu choices were limited. The wine by the glass choices very limited. Table was not flat, had to be careful where to set my drink. Service excellent. Meal Was good. Had shrimp and linguine in tomato sauce. Wishing there were protein options to add to salad.“
“We came for Restaurant week lunch and were seated immediately. Drinks were received quickly. Appetizers were very good. We waited quite a while for entrees. Although we saw other tables served before us. The food was delicious, however. Desserts were also good. The mussels were particularly good, although a piece of bread would have been appreciated since the broth was excellent. We will return.“
“Solid spot. Bit of a dive, bit of a sports bar, bit of a pub. Good wings, tenders, and burgers, and a nice beer list to match. Little parking lot out front is convenient, and there's usually a seat inside even when it's crowded. Fries can be a little soggy and wish their cheap beers were a bit cheaper, but otherwise a great neighborhood spot.Definitely try the sweet spicy chili sauce if you go for the wings!“
“It was my first time here. It's an actual restaurant boat on the water! It doesn't sway with the waves, so I'm fairly certain it's stuck there.I was under dressed as this entire trip was a pleasant surprise with a friend. From the moment I stepped in side the door, I felt myself welcome. The staff and patrons are so incredibly kind humans. The food was delicious. I witnessed the manager walking around and introducing himself to guests and shaking hands. Even leaving, I was sad to go. I hope one day we can go again.“
“My second home. Update: They revamped and expanded the menu recently (Jan 2024). I thought the food was bussin before, my whole team all ate there pretty much every Monday but now I feel like the menu is major league! Just had the steak and cheese tn, bowled a 205.“
“Stopped here just to look around for Christmas shopping and ended up browsing for an hour or so. The studio is considerably bigger than it looks from the outside, their Christmas sale had a variety of pieces from a variety of artists, and there were even some plates with cheese and crackers, and Christmas mints. The people working there were friendly and helpful, wrapped our purchases for us, and gave us some info about classes. I will definitely be returning!Parking is on-street and spaces are quite limited.“
“The food was good. I definitely plan to go back.We made the mistake of not having a reservation and so had to wait almost an hour on Saturday night. It's a busy spot. Our food also took a while, so it may be better to go at a less busy time if you are a more hurried diner. We had a vegetarian with us who liked the food they got.“
“Great atmosphere, friendly and attentive service, and delicious food the potion doesn’t reflect the premium, however. If food portion was 30% more, it would be 5-star.The lobster toast is a must have but 3 small bites is $17 or $22 with governments tax , restaurant appreciation tax and tip“
“What a cool spot! Dined with a friend, we shared the mushroom, smoked chicken and pappardelle plates. Food was spectacular- interesting flavor combinations, perfectly executed. Service was excellent- attentive and helpful, atmosphere cozy yet vibrant. I will be back!“
“Excellent food. We had the pasta w fennel sausage, the short rib , the smoked scallops, and the lobster popover. Serving sizes are small ( typical for tapas), the prices are however closer to a main course. Quality is great, service exceptional. If you can afford it, this place is awesome.“
“A fantastic meal with an even better experience!! I decided to make reservations here to celebrate my birthday ( this was my gift to myself beside the trip lol ) because I saw the chef's tasting menu and wanted to do something special. The restaurant called to confirm about 5-6 hours before my reservation and informed me that I would have a counter/bar seat. You don't get that often but it was a nice heads up and reminder. I arrived a little earlier than my time but I was seated as soon as I arrived but it wasn't super crowded in there either. The restaurant is tiny and has a very intimate vibe going on with an open , it's like the perfect date night location if you can afford to splurge a little.“
“Dinner at ISA was a great experience in. The service was great and the menu was filled with creative dishes. And everything our party ordered was prepared perfectly and delicious. We really loved the lobster tostado appetizer and the beet and avocado salad and the eggplant, lasagna, and shrimp entrées.(all of which we shared) the real was complemented by great wine pairings. Dessert was coconut custard pie, Also delicious. We can't wait to return and try the rest of the menu.“
