“Stopped in (sent in) to pick up dinner for the whole family. Complicated order so went inside to get everything. The ladies working the front counter from the cashier, order runner (?) and the manager were super sweet and helpful. Took the complicated order explained the toys for the kids meals, made sure the sauces were right, and had everything bagged up perfect with no mistakes. Again, SUPER friendly and competent. Much respect to the manager on duty (this is 3-10-21) and her staff. Also big props to the one guy working in the back on the grill, the burgers were great. Wish every fast food place had a staff this friendly and up to speed. Cheers and godspeed!“
“Wendy's is pretty much the only fast food place I will go to. The burgers are "fresh, never frozen" in the taste, as if that advertisement is true. They supposedly offer baked potatoes, but they never make enough to last them through the day. Their non-carbonated beverages seem above average, and their food always seems fresh. I go there every week.“
“Lots of space. Clean seating. Just don't go during the afternoon shift change. It's like when the lights come on at last call and everything stops and there's some milling about and panicked, tired looks hoping the next word they have to read says, 'Exit'.“
“Really cozy eatery with friendly staff. Came here for a quick breakfast and couldn't decide between the omelette or the French toast, so I got BOTH! Hahaha. The French toast was soft and moist on the inside (the soak it overnight so your not eating some dry piece of bread masquerading as French toast), the berries were fresh, and the syrup sweet without being overly sweet. Perfection. The omelette was delicious. The home fries were a mix of sweet potato and Idaho potatoes-yum! Overall, it was a great experience. Will be back for sure.“
“First time, really enjoyed the experience. Mom had little cheeseburger- just the right size, especially after adding toppings! Kid had cheeseburger and inhaled it! Chicken parm for me and toasted ravioli. Yummmm! Corner of remembrance noted and appreciated. Will return next time I'm back to visit mom.“
“We were nearby visiting my brother at his job and wanted some dinner. Found this place in a local search and the reviews were good. Inside the decor is nice. A mixture of booths, tables, and a bar. Very hip vibe (if I'm not too old to say that unironically). We were greeted right away and found a table. Service was attentive and very personable. Made some recommendations and then we dove into the menu. Good selection of American pub style food. Music was good and not too loud. Good came out in good time. The food was better than I expected. My mom had a haddock chowder which she and I both loved (I stole a spoonful). She split a cranberry walnut salad with me. It was tasty but over dressed. Would have been a lot better with less dressing. My Dad got the honey mustard wrap and he really liked it. He also got an espresso martini that he thought was just ok. I had the fish and chips. The fry on the fish was no joke. Thicker and crispier than I am used to but was so tasty and very well seasoned. It was so much I brought half home and ate it straight outta the fridge the next day and it was delicious. The star of the night were the fries. Seemed like a double fry method that again were so crispy and well seasoned. Delicious! Will for sure be back again if I find myself visiting family in Maine and want some great food in a friendly spot!“
“Multiple visits to this newer restaurant in an older building in Buxton, Maine the menu is unique with a nice variety of options. When food is as flavorful as it is at Oak & Ember one does not need excessive menu options. Staff is attentive and friendly at every visit!“
