“Excellent ice cream, great atmosphere, feels good to support a family business. Our first time trying it, they said they were experimenting with more kid-friendly flavors and sure enough — on our second visit, they had. The ice cream leans gourmet and offers a wide variety of unique flavors.“
“Okay, I was looking for a coffee place to kill some time at before an appointment in the area. This place came up in my search and boy am I glad I decided to stop here. First - it is super cute. With a mix of community tables, counter seating, and even one very cozy looking chair (I say looking because it was occupied and I was unable to plunk myself down and enjoy my book - which it was beckoning me to do). They have an extensive coffee menu and use their own roasted beans. I went with a standard coffee but did upgrade to maple syrup for my sweetener. (Anyone who knows me knows this alone won me over!) And, if you eat in - your coffee comes in a beautiful real mug! They have decent bakery case which is stocked with pastries from Two Fat Cats and bagels from Rose Foods! That's right - you can get a Rose Food bagel without the hassle of parking on Forest Ave in Portland. I got the Mystery Spice (old bay seasoning) and enjoyed half with Olive Cream Cheese and the other with Herbed. Clearly they make the cream cheeses here in house and they are delicious. The place seems pretty popular as there were many people here on a Thursday morning. Already planning a trip back here with a friend for a little remote work day!“
“This place is very good! I think their prices have gotten a little steep over the past year (25% +/- increase) but the food quality has stayed excellent and their service is very good. I will continue to come here as long as the doors are open!“
“Tandem serves some of the best coffee I've tasted. We were visiting Portland and stopped by the 122 Anderson location. We were greeted by the baristas who were extremely friendly and provided great recommendations for the area. We tried a classic latte, maple latte, and their pour over coffee, which was smooth and bold. Highly recommend a pit stop here, either to enjoy the ambience of the little shop or just grab a coffee to go!“
“My partner and I had a wonderful experience here. The process of building a terrarium was very easy with the guidance of the team there. We found it especially calming and enjoyable to be surrounded by plants as we created our tiny worlds. Local beverages were a great added touch. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for date spot, friend group activity, or solo activity! Good vibes all around.“
“Stopped in during a rainstorm and the ladies could not have been more welcoming! The shop was packed but they made a table for us to sit, made sure we were comfortable and made us tasty drinks! I had an Americano which was delicious, and my wife had a blueberry lemonade that the loved! Happy we sought shelter from the rain in this shop, will certainly return!“
“Was recommended this spot by a barber at (Blind Pig - which is also an amazing spot if you need a haircut). immediately rushed right over to try and make it before they closed. WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED AT ALL. omg these donuts are so so so so good. if you’re in Portland and have a sweet tooth, DEFINITELY CHECK THIS PLACE OUT! ????“
“Everything about the place looked amazing! Six of us went there specifically because I am celiac and they advertise gluten free food everywhere, only to find out that it is also a regular bakery with flour flying and nothing in there is celiac safe. I was extremely disappointed to say the least. I think it's important to be clear about that. However if you're gluten free as a dietary choice, you have lots of options! Everyone who got to eat was very happy with their food. Unfortunately I had to sit and watch.“
“This is the cutest cafe ever! Pastels and playful decor don this Deering Center space. I enjoyed a refreshing lychee iced green tea with boba. You'll have to check it out the next time you find yourself on Stevens Avenue.Kid-friendliness: Kids will love the inviting space.“
“Best breakfast in Freeport. It gets busy, so recommend getting early. The waiting situation is a bit unique: you walk through the restaurant and then wait in line for a table. The folks work hard to flip tables though, so I think the longest I've waited is 30 minutes or so. The menu is very standard, and very classic. Everything is well executed. I'm partial to the Freeport Favorite, it's a standard breakfast. The sausage gravy and biscuits are also quite good.“
“It was an absolute delight to have lunch here. The waitress was so friendly and helpful. And everything tasted amazing.Kid-friendliness: The waitress suggested a couple options for my 2 year old and was very willing to make slight changes to menu items to accommodate them.“
“I come here for lunch often during the summer months after teaching tennis lessons all morning. The staff is friendly. They know I’ve been running around on that grind and they make me massive and tasty sandwiches.I’m thankful for the people here.“
“I have been using Tally's catering on Steven's Ave for large cooperate events for about two years. It is high time I write a review. They are life savers! Everyone asks where my catering is from, and compliments the special attention made to allergies, and food preferences. Julie is a joy to work with, the food is always on time, labeled, and displayed beautifully. They work within my budget (difficult to find in Portland) and I am always impressed. You should hire them.“
“I got the Cozyside latte, and it's phenomenal! There isn't anything I'd change about it or my service. I'd never been here before and wish there were a couple more lounge chairs so I could sit and not feel like I was disturbing someone else at a table, but I understand the square footage doesn't leave alot to work with.“
“We were staying at the lovely regency hotel for an anniversary. This lovely brunch spot did not disappoint! Overlooking the street but with a quiet and elegant interior, it afforded the ability to people watch a little bit carry on a quiet conversation. I had the salmon plate, with smoked lox, bagel, capers and assortment of pickled items capers, pickles, and onions and a crisp sliced tomato. My husband had eggs over easy with corned beef hash, which he raved about. We had pots of earl grey tea, which remained nice and hot for the duration of our meal. Our server was excellent, offering recommendations and keeping our water glasses full (needed after the late night enjoying restaurant week in Portland) 5 stars. Will absolutely eat here when we stay here again!“
“Stopped here just to look around for Christmas shopping and ended up browsing for an hour or so. The studio is considerably bigger than it looks from the outside, their Christmas sale had a variety of pieces from a variety of artists, and there were even some plates with cheese and crackers, and Christmas mints. The people working there were friendly and helpful, wrapped our purchases for us, and gave us some info about classes. I will definitely be returning!Parking is on-street and spaces are quite limited.“
“Everything we ordered was good but they ran out of certain items which narrowed their menu down, including some alcohol and wine choices. Service was great but a good restaurant has to be prepared to deliver what is offered, especially on a very restricted menu. Also, prices are astoundingly high. Customers have a right to expect well prepared dishes at a reasonable price. There was also the noise factor some "sound boards" in this old bare bones building would be welcome so you could enjoy conversation with your dining partners. They need to work on this business they need to offer more for the big bucks, it doesn't just happen because you're organic and have good artisanal bread. I wish them success and I'll try again next year.“
“Mainly Mozzarella Sandwich is excellent. Consistency with how much balsamic glaze and pesto is average. The Caesar salad dressing is thick and excellent. The salad lack leaves. I hate eating 80% stalk. I appreciate their environmental consciousness and commitment.“
“Food is delicious and the atmosphere is perfect for meeting up with friends or entertaining tiny children. Chef Toni’s to go meals and catering are perfect to freeze and have on hand and have been our go to gift to many a friend or family member who could benefit from some food love.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian Frittatas, sandwiches, soups, Mac and cheese and baked goodsDietary restrictions: Gluten free, dairy free and vegetarian optionsParking: Large free lotKid-friendliness: Plenty of space to explore and giant globe to check out, occasionally kids ice cream stand to play withWheelchair accessibility: No stairs, flat surface entrance with automatic door openers“
