Very attentive, knowledgeable, friendly staff. This restaurant is a bit of a splurge, but so, so worth it. We will absolutely come back.”

The service was absolutely amazing, the inside looks like you're traveling into this super secret club with games at every table. Mark (the owner) is such a chill guy to talk to and very much approachable along with the rest of the staff. The drinks are also absolutely amazing. They have a bunch of creative spins to all of their drinks. If you also don't want to drink they have an assortment of teahaus teas that you can grab too. This place is just such a hidden gem and such a cool place to be.

Even though we're only here for a few days, we will have as many of these as possible before returning home.”

I’d highly recommend a visit if you’re on the lookout for a neat coffee spot in Ann Arbor.”

Also al of the dishes had a spicy sauce I wasn’t a fan of. The vegan baked goods were good though and highly recommend the coffee over the chai.”

Today I'm down in the westside of Ann Arbor and this new restaurant Ricewood BBQ, OH MY GOD!!! On the recommendation of the lady behind the counter I got the Brisket bowl with sesame cucumbers, pickled onions and the spice was medium. A "real", in my opinion BBQ place, you even smell the smoke from the wood smoker walking up. I went to the one on North Maple and by far the best lunch I've had all summer!!!”

The menu for each month is fixed, but they have a few optional add-ons if you're still hungry. Their wait staff is knowledgeable about all the food and eager to recommend a glass of their favorite wine.
One small area for improvement: our first course was a delicious focaccia, but a little olive oil for dipping would have really taken it over the top. Olive oil was one of the optional add-ons for $4, but we didn't think about it until after we had mostly finished the course. I'd suggest just including this kind of thing as part of the course, and if you need to raise the overall price by $4, I don't think anyone would complain.”

Especially with the themeing of the location I expected some themed dishes. Service was a little slower than some other spots in the area but like I mentioned they had just opened so I can excuse that. They were still doing prep work when I came in so I saw them bringing out raw fish, etc and their ingredients are very fresh!”

The manager Roy went above and beyond in several ways! He took the time to explain to us how the building used to be an old sawmill and that’s why the decor is the way that it is such an eclectic beautiful place! The server Alyssa was patient with my 81 year-old mother with a smile on her face taking her time with Mom and myself to answer all of our questions!
