We started wirh a glass of riesling and the cheese plate, and loved both. My fiance and I both ordered the Dry Aged NY strip steak, and we both agreed it was the best steak we had ever tasted in our lives. The service was phenomenal. Very attentive, knowledgeable, friendly staff. This restaurant is a bit of a splurge, but so, so worth it. We will absolutely come back.”

Tried Canelle for the first time in Detroit, and this branch is just as nice. This spot has fresh pastries, good coffee (and an amazing Mocha), and a comforting overall ambiance. The Parisian influence is especially nice and the outdoor patio on a crisp summer/fall day is just so pleasant. I’d highly recommend a visit if you’re on the lookout for a neat coffee spot in Ann Arbor.”

The girl at the door seating everyone seemed really odd. I told her we needed two seats. She grabbed the menues and silverware. We followed her to our table. She put the items on the table and left without saying a single word to us. I usually expect them to say follow me or tell me who will be our server. She didn’t say a word. Seemed mad. But it is a beer and burger place. Maybe I expect too much of people.”

I’m a craft beer guy and I have made it a point to visit every small brewery that I can while out and about in our great state. Mothfire Brewing is by far one of the best breweries I’ve ever been to. The staff is amazing and the beer is excellent. Stop in, you won’t regret it.”

The service was absolutely amazing, the inside looks like you're traveling into this super secret club with games at every table. Mark (the owner) is such a chill guy to talk to and very much approachable along with the rest of the staff. The drinks are also absolutely amazing. They have a bunch of creative spins to all of their drinks. If you also don't want to drink they have an assortment of teahaus teas that you can grab too. This place is just such a hidden gem and such a cool place to be.

As the tables and chairs became occupied, the noise level increased, but it was more festive and conversational than annoying! We ordered some appetizers from the regular menu and some sandwiches from the HA menu. Both were outstanding as were our cocktails. We want to time it to visit again, as we are within a 25 mile drive.”

Totoro is proud of it's Ghibli inspiration, with the walls lined with My Neighbor Totoro memoribillia. It was peaceful and had soft music playing over their speakers. The bentos and rice bowl options were diverse, well priced, and good serving sizes but the sushi menu I felt was a little lacking. Especially with the themeing of the location I expected some themed dishes. Service was a little slower than some other spots in the area but like I mentioned they had just opened so I can excuse that. They were still doing prep work when I came in so I saw them bringing out raw fish, etc and their ingredients are very fresh!”

The swing chairs gave the place a playful vibe without feeling gimmicky. Service was friendly and fairly quick, even though the place was busy. “I came here with some friends yesterday for some food and it was so good. I got the garlic parm traditional wings and they were super crispy and juicy. I got an 8 piece wing but I only ate 6 because they were so filling. We went outside to eat and it was pretty cold but even after like 20 minutes of being out in the cold, the wings were still steaming when we took a bite. I kept saying “oh my foods probably cold by now” but nope! The fries were so crispy and they tasted delicious and don’t even get me started on the ranch. The ranch was on another level and honestly some of the best ranch I’ve ever had. Besides from food, the staff was super friendly. The guy taking my order was really nice to me and my friends and was very patient. I had went inside after we were done eating to throw away my trash and one of the people in the back asked me if I had liked my food, I 100% said “yes it was so delicious. 10/10 would recommend!! 💗”
