“focus on the service and food. We had two of the best omelettes we've had in a long while here. yummy, chewy crusty peasant bread, great hash browns, real butter. they even had fresh jalepenos!!! absolutely worth the drive. ambience is basic- don't let that put you off. really great food and service“
“Review update. Been ordering pizza from Jets in Dexter for yrs. Got our 1st bad pizza and reviewed as a 2 star, within days received a call from manager Joe. Joe and I discussed the bad pizza, he apologized and was very nice. He took care of what happened and we will be using Dexter Jet again.“

“I have to say that the breadsticks are amazing! They are so crispy yet soft with a marinara sauce that enhances the flavor. The pizza wasn't anything to write home about, but the breadsticks will keep me coming back. Wonderful for a perfect kayak/bike ride!“

“Es muy bueno. I love, love all of the veg choices. The elote (Mexican street corn) was a thermally hot cob sweated by spices, cheese, and mayonnaise. The black beans were whole and gentle tasting, with a spritz of shredded white cheese. The cheese enchilada was gooey and topped with a sauce with a slight kick. The potato flauta (yes, potato!) had a perfectly crispy shell, lettuce, and a delicate white sauce. My tamale had a mushy corn filling with a wonderfully earth flavor and with piquant cheese inside.I wish we had this back in my metro Detroit hood. Enjoy it, Ann Arborites and Dexter denizens.“

“I was pleasantly wowed by my carry-out meal from Food Zone. My Bean Curd Home Style, usually a safe albeit pedestrian combination of tofu, veggies, and brown sauce, was one of the best I've ever had. It had an intense black bean sauce with a kick. The tofu was fried perfectly, neither tough nor flimsy, cut into manageable triangles. I also liked my vegetable spring roll, crispy outside and warming inside. This is definitely worth a try if you are in the area.“

“This place is all vegan ? I ordered the banh mi and it was pretty good overall. Service was also pretty quick, which was nice. The only downside in my opinion is that the portion size is kinda small so I was still a bit hungry ? even after my meal! Note: this place is usually very busy so be prepared to wait a lil ⏲️“

“I have no idea why it took so long to try this restaurant but it was worth the wait. Our waitress, Meaghan, was so friendly I wanted to invite her to join us lol. We split 3 appetizers and one entree and to say it was all amazing is an understatement. Our favorite was the lobster spring rolls. The lobster was cooked perfectly, and there was just enough bite to it.Now I don’t know what the normal crowd brings but this particular evening we were there brought a majority of older clientele who were all dressed very nicely. Although we are still in our 40s, I really appreciated the well dressed crowd that was dining. The entire staff was smiling and friendly which says a lot about a place. Can’t wait to go back!“

“Very good food!! If I could give 4.5 stars I would. Ethan was a great server! We started with smashed potatoes that were tasty. Then ordered fried chicken and snapper We were told they were out of both. That was upsetting because that's what we came for. Ethan came back and said they could do one chicken. Unfortunately the other guest didn't eat beef or pork. He came back and said they could do 2 chickens. So we got the chicken which was delicious. Also had Tteokbokki for the first time. It was good. Would definitely go back. One of the better meals I've had in Ann Arbor.“

“5 for taste & service 1 for using margarine on their crust Can't win em all but I didn't expect it to be margarine! Other places use soybean & canola oil, which isn't any better, but it's a good local pizza joint, nonetheless.“

“I would have rated this restaurant a 5, but the floor under the booth where sat was filthy. We mentioned something to the waitress and she did nothing about it. We ordered gyros. The portions were enough for a family of 5! We definitely had a doggie bag. The food was delicious and there was ample tsaziki sauce, unlike many places. They welcomed my dog. I appreciated that. My dog is cleaner than most kids. The waitress was very pleasant, prompt and cordial. My friend ordered roast beef. She enjoyed that 1as well. There was ample parking and seating. This was a great all around "diner." I will definitely return next time I am in the area“

“Located in a a small industrial sub in southern Ann Arbor, Zingerman's has 3 separate adjacent premises housing a bake shop & retail, soft cheese manufacturing & retail, and a candy shop (which I did not visit). Appealing to our emotions is amongst Z's specialties. The bake shop is beautifully presented selling 20 (approx) different kinds of bread made from starter yeast (more time consuming, old fashioned, high quality), bags of cookies, croissants, muffins and other treats. There are other high quality bakeries in other towns manufacturing high quality breads, however, Zingerman's has a splendid selection. The cheese shop visit was interesting, yet it is there is where the trance of the magic Z-spell was broken. After buying the most highly recommended cheese we learned that it's imported, not made by Zingerman's (they only make soft spreadable cheeses). This could and should have been disclosed, far more apparently (if there is fine print somewhere). Some other high quality retailers sell even deeper selections of quality cheese. All representatives were polite and courteous. Some other reviewers have debated if Z's higher pricing and quality are commensurate. This first visit and purchases was not conclusive in discerning the overall value proposition for me.“

“just came on here to say that we visited for the first time last night and OH MY GOSH....we were so impressed! We had driven back from Detroit airport, hungry as heck and with a craving for pizza so; we stopped at this place. so glad we did! the craving was satisfied we will definitely be back to try one of the enormous burgers we saw going past our table as we sipped on our delicious beer n eagerly awaited our pizza!the staff were friendly, attentive and ultimately, working their socks off!!!The atmosphere was that of a cozy local bar that used to be a hidden gem before the stories of delicious food n cold beer got out; now, its a busy but vibrant local bar with excellent food with almost every table full! However, tables were bussed quickly so you were able to seat yourself and browse the menu, that also came with seasonal specials that sounded yummy. It was a great eating experience and an additonal shout out to our server Hunter who was a rockstar!!“

“They are a serious party store. They have a huge selection of wines, craft beers, and small batch liquors. They also have a great deli which makes NY style thin crust pizza, good hearty sandwiches, and tasty take home dinners. If you need your local party store to cover many needs then Tippins is your go to.“

“Faz pizza does not skimp on the fresh tasting veggies, has a great ratio of cheese (not sparse but not a thick greasy blanket), and crispy perfect crust. Bella is a pizza artist and she and the head chef are very kind. All around a wonderful experience. Thank you for brightening our day :) it was a 10/10 after we stopped in!“

“Whether you like mead or don't know if you like mead, this is a great place to hangout. The mead here is the best that I have had thanks to their unique fermentation process. The staff are really friendly and helpful, they have a huge library of table top games, and a large selection of their meads and ciders on the menu. I always get a flight because I can never choose just one.“

“I took my son's basketball team and families to Jets. And they accommodated the large party. We got 2 party pizzand 2 breadsticks. It was more than enough food to fill all of them and for the parents to have enough food as well.Service was great. They were able to change some of the younger ones busy. I highly recommend going inside and doing the sit down. I have also been there many times during the evening at the bare with friends and service is always great!“

“Good sushi, good value! Stopped in for a quick lunch and opted for a dine-in special. Got a combination of two sushi rolls ($11 pre-tax and tip) - Spicy Tuna and Salmon, Avocado, Cucumber. Pretty classic rolls. Came out quickly and was tasty. Quality and freshness of fish was good. Amount of fish and ratio with rice was good too. Nicely executed simple rolls! And this was plenty filling for lunch. Will say that the Spicy Tuna is actually a little spicy! I liked it, but if you can't handle spice at all, just know it's a little spicier (think it's a sriracha based spicy mayo) than other places. No frills but clean ambiance with a good amount of seating for dine in. Friendly service and easy parking!“
“This place is amazing. We love spending time here and the staff is great, friendly, helpful and make you feel at home. The food is good, snacks are available, even for my gluten free child, so that's a plus. The internet is great, I was able to work from there while my kiddos played in a SAFE and CLEAN environment. Can't go wrong with a hot coffee and a comfy seat while watching your kids run around and play. :)“
“Everything I have gotten here has been heavenly. Doughnuts are so delicious but what really brings me back are the soft pretzels. If I lived in walking distance I would be 700 pounds! Even when my husband gets a big thing of doughnuts to share and I get stuck with a random doughnut that’s not what I would have picked it was still the highlight of my tastebud’s day. For my birthday last summer we bought a big box of pretzels to share at our big family party. They were a hit and most likely a staple for my next birthday. I am no longer a faithful lady to Dunkin.“

“Lots of character and flavor! So glad I stumbled upon this spot while running an errand nearby. Small interior, but warm, eclectic, and colorful, with just a couple tables for dining in. I'm assuming most of their business is pickup/takeout. As it was my first visit, I was recommended the Perfect Pair special, which allowed me to try a bit of a lot of things. One tamale of choice, one pupusa of choice, salsa, casamiento (a Salvadoran beans and rice side dish), fried plantain, curtido (Salvadoran cabbage slaw), AND a choice of drink. Phew! All of this for $18, and it was more than enough for leftovers (though I can see why a lot of people would clean their plates with this dish - everything is delicious). I got the Chicken and Cheese Tamale, Pork Pupusa, and Horchata for my choices. (They had great sounding vegetarian options as well.) Everything was served together, very hot and fresh. Everything tasted amazing and the flavors and textures really complimented each other. The tamale and pupusa were the stars of the meal, but I also really loved the vinegary curtido, and sweet plantain. The horchata was fantastic also, with a generous dusting of cinnamon on top. Even my to go box for leftovers was cute, with a little hand drawn heart on it. Believe the owner was working, and she was really sweet. There are fun wares and knickknacks around the interior on display and for sale, as well as a donation station for Pilar's Foundation, supporting local and international organizations.“

“My son and I stopped in here for a quick pizza while we were on the road. The ambiance won't blow you away, but the pizza will. I don't write this lightly, it was the best pizza I've ever had. We ordered a NY style pizza with pepperoni, I recommend!“
“I have to say AMAZING!! Ordered for the first time this week and I cannot wait to order for next week!! The veggie lasagna was awesome!!! Corn chowder awesome. Chjcken and side of rice was great. I could have had it delivered for free since I spent over 50.00, but I am off Tuesdays and wanted to pick up and then go to Zingermans bakehouse which is nearby. Pick up was a breeze. Thanks for feeding me this week!“

“If you have to ask how was the service you have never been to Zingermans. They are customer service! It is my go to spot when cruising through Ann Arbor. The real problem is what to order. It is all great. The smells just waft around you and make the decision harder. Don’t look up as different entrees pass you and change your mind. Last stop was the French dip with peppers and onions(recommend to me by the bartender). Go hungry and leave needing a nap. Such great service and quality of food. Go Already!Dietary restrictions: They will modify to suit your needs!Wheelchair accessibility: I use forearm crutches and it’s easy in and out.“

“I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE!!! My mother has had a lot of health issues lately and by the suggestion of her doctors she shouldn’t eat meat. Especially our “GREAT FDA APPROVED” meat that they’re killing Americans with. I don’t not like meat actually I LOVE IT! I just can no longer tolerate the quality of our government approved meat. So anyway we are vegetarian. It has been a struggle to find places where we can eat. This is my FAVORITE Place to eat. Friendly and accommodating staff, great prices, fresh delicious food. I’m bring 6 family members with me this Saturday, They’re going to LOVE IT TOO ?Kid-friendliness: My son loves it here. His favorite is the cheeseburger with pickles and fries. They have such cool and tasty fries. They really are unique. The staff was so friendly and kind to him too.“

“Our first time having legit Detroit-style pizza and it didn’t disappoint (coming from an admitted pizza snob). We were in town for the Thunder Over Michigan air show. Being exhausted from the workdays event, we were searching for comfort in a delicious, warm pizza on a rainy night. Wanting to dine-in, we passed on a few other closer pizzerias to our hotel. Service was excellent & friendly (our server chatted with us about the airplanes and that her son was planning on education in the aviation field). Pizza was tasty and quick to the table. It was late evening; but, this did not affect the quality of service or the food. Well lit, clean interior and a cool place to visit. If we are ever back this way, we will definitely visit again. Thank you all for the excellent food and welcoming atmosphere.“
