“Never a real complaint eating from here. The food is always flavorful and filling. It's definitely worth the price as well. And while I've not eaten here in quite some time, I've heard others talk highly about this place.Keep in mind, that they are not there on Sundays.Overall, this this is worth the visit.“
“My husband and I have eaten the mini packs for 3 weeks on Saturday...so Saturday taco day and I feel like they are my family who make me delicious food and I love not only the beans but feeling as if I have an extended family who cooks for me.“
“Excellent service from the staff. The chicken nachos were amazing and would recommend them. Also their pineapple drink is on point. The restaurant is located in the gas station but don't judge a book by its cover.Parking: No issues finding a parking spot“
“This place is awesome! I've been looking to find good Carne Asada tacos ever since I've left LA and this place is one of my new go-to spots! The area outside to order with the tent is chill, and you can pick up the limes and salsa to go with the order. They give you some grilled onions to go with it, which is also very awesome.“
“Best tacos in the area. Gets busy but they hustle thru to get you fantastic Mexican and some Tex-Mex staples (acá burritos).Found it interesting that even though the hosts were speaking in Spanish amongst themselves the one young lady refused to speak Spanish with other patrons.“
“it's about time that a good Taqueria opens up downriver! I live right up the street from this place and I love it!!! it is run by a family, and they are very nice and friendly, the place is always clean, and the food is always excellent! When I go, I usually get theBotana with either steak or chorizo, their tortas are excellent! There is nowhere around here downriver that you can get authentic Mexican food like this!!!“
“Love they tacos! great customer service ' always fresh & hot . I literally can eat these tacos everyday if I could . Perfect for fall days and bring them home to eat with a movie . The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I love the fact it's family owned and everyone works together. Price does vary but with inflation totally understandable I hope and pray for there success and blessings“
“Hands down best steak taco/burrito I've ever eaten. It's worth venturing to. It's pretty inexpensive too. Spanish is spoken and cash only. It's easy to miss because it's in the parking lot behind tall fences that say farmers market right on the corner of Livernois and Toledo street.“
“on point. Odd area but who cares. Service, Food, Ambiance etc. Such a great place. Don't forget your Booze as they don't serve any alcohol. My family and folks ordered just about everything off the very large menu! Lobster Quesadilla was a standout. Get the homemade soup!“
“We found this place on the humble and i have been going back ever since. I drive from Ypsi to eat here and they haven’t failed me yet. Tacos de Lengua con todo ? it’s amazing & prices are amazing. Anytime someone brings up the best tacos around I throw your hat in the ring. Please don’t change.“
“Was looking for a new authentic Mexican food truck. Usually go to another one in the area, they blow them out the water. I got a carne asada torta, it was an 11/10. Super flavorful, extra cheese, a lot of meat and a very nice size for $12. Service was excellent and food was ready fast. Will be returning.“
“We have been here a few times and every time the service has been on point and welcoming. All of the food we have tried has been authentic and really, really good. We have had enchiladas, burritos, tacos and of course, a flight of margaritas!! Highly recommend. It is now our go to place in the area.“
“Great place. We had asada and carnitas tacos, both were great! The spicy salsas (red and green) are very tasty and go very well with the tacos. Rice and beans are ok. The jamaica and tamarindo water are delicious. The only thing that can be improved are the chips (could use more salt) and the chips salsa, it is very bland. Service was great, all the staff was very friendly and the food came very fast. We will definitely go back“
“I'm doing a Detroit southwest Taco ? Truck ? review all summer as of right this is the best the atmosphere is like nothing other than unbelievable how Mexican Town is the Service was quick I was in and out in under 10 minutes the price was better than taco bell AND the food was oh so good ?? I will be going back 5 ?“
“I decided to try this place after seeing it listed on Instagram as a top 10 taco spot.I tried their pork Tacos, birria Tacos, chicken Tacos and chicken Nachos.I was most eager to try the birria Tacos and most disappointed to find they didn't come with the sauce/dip. I went back up to the counter to ask about it and was told they don't give it out with those tacos. He gave me some pork juice to dip my tacos in instead. The birria meat was quite dry. The pork juice/oil helped a bit to add flavor and juices. I wouldn't order them again. The chicken and pork Tacos were also just OK. Nothing special.I was most impressed by the nachos. It's a gigantic portion of food that could easily be shared by multiple people and the price was cheap at ten bucks. The customer service was lacking because there was quite a language barrier. Items were added to my order that I didn't order and the person taking my order wasn't able to answer most of my questions. I think it's important to speak Spanish or you are quite familiar with this food truck menu to fully enjoy this business. They have several locations, maybe I'll try the other locations to see if their tacos are top ten tier.Parking: The parking lot is quite congested because this location is in a Plaza that has a busy store and ice cream shop.“
“Very good! I ordered two chicken tacos and elote, and the food was hot and prepared quickly. The salsa that came with the tacos had great flavor but it was pretty spicy! The elote was a little too sweet for me, but still tasted great. I would highly recommend, and I’ll be back soon to try more options!Parking: A few spots around the BP gas station, it could be difficult to find a spot on a busy day“
“Food was really good. We ordered a taco dinner and quesadillas. However, I received something I didn’t order. I didn’t want to correct my order because it was a challenge to order the first time. Though it was a couple of tables to eat outside, we decided to eat in our car. The parking lot was full of patrons.“
“Went looking in my neighborhood for a big can of Hominy to make Pozole. I way overpaid for the can of hominy, BUT, my daughter saw the eating area and asked if we were eating. So we sat down to eat, I ate the enchilada lunch, and my daughter had the milanesa kids lunch. They were both delicious. The chicken was juicy and breaded and cooked so good. although the portion of rice was small, it was fresh, hot and delicious. The refried beans were also very good. And while i probably wont make it a point to go here, I would stop if I was in the area and hungry.“
“After returning to Detroit from the vibrant streets of Mexico, where the sun always shines, I found solace in the comforting embrace of El Brazon. Tucked away amidst the gray and cold skies, this gem of a restaurant beckoned me with promises of authentic Mexican flavors.Navigating through the inconspicuous rear entrance from the parking lot, we found ourselves welcomed into a cozy interior. While reservations are advisable, we managed to secure a table for two without much delay. Although the decor leaned towards simplicity, it served as a stark contrast to the explosion of flavors awaiting us in the dishes.Opting for indoor seating over the covered outdoor area, we were promptly attended to by the bustling staff. Their efficiency ensured that our dining experience was not only swift but also filled with warmth and hospitality. We indulged in a shared salad followed by a traditional Mexican dish, both of which exceeded our expectations in terms of taste and authenticity.Remarkably, within a mere 45 minutes, we had savored every bite and found ourselves reluctantly bidding farewell to El Brazon. Its convenient parking and secure location offered a sense of ease, distinct from the hustle and bustle of downtown Detroit—a factor that drew us to this hidden culinary haven. In conclusion, for a taste of Mexico without leaving the comfort of Detroit, I wholeheartedly recommend El Brazon. From its delectable cuisine to its efficient service and cozy ambiance, it is a dining experience worth savoring time and time again.“
“wow, omg this place was AWESOME, 1st time I dined in, I got the el chapo torta, it was fabulous. Leigha, whose father started this place and conceptualized the tortas, can't say enough. I struggled to finish half of it. my wife got a mango margarita which was so delicious. would definitely come back here. AWESOME.“
“My boyfriend and I was staying at the hotel by here for the night and he came across this place and THE FOOD WAS WONDERFUL!!!! definitely will be coming back too eat here! everything was fresh and the chicken for the bowls WAS SO YUMMY!!!“
“If your looking for fresh and flavorful food, this is the spot! When ever we do staff lunches, our staff request Guac, and when our clients ask for a recommendation for a spot to have a good bite, we send them to Guac. Staff is super friendly and their recommendations are always on point! Keep up the great work!“
“This was my first time eating here and I was pleasantly surprised. We ordered a Botana and it was huge, enough for at least 4-6 people. The street tacos were perfect, I ordered the Friday Daily special, Birria Taco and it was perfection. The food was delicious, the employees were friendly. I will definately be back.“
“We ordered carry out via calling in, and were completely floored with the quality and flavors!I got the supreme combination, my wife for the supreme nachos.(We could have easily only gotten the nachos it was so large)The guacamole: hands down one of the freshest I have ever had, and competes with my wife's!Would we order here again? HECK YEAH!For those that are not a fan of onions, they do put onion in their guacamole. I didn't mind, but I know others that do.The supreme combination plate was soooo filling. I prob could have gotten away with order the regular combination plate. We didnt know. No harm no foul. And just made for some leftovers the next day.Thank you Taqueria El JalapeñoI included some pictures, but take out foot never lends itself for great photos.“
“Best Mexican food in town! The kitchen, the staff, and the food make this a spot you cant just try once. Have been coming to Acapulco Delight for over 10 years and the quality and hospitality has not changed one bit. Recommend the Chicken Chimichangas, Shrimp, and Beef Quesadillas!“
“I'm pretty impressed with this place. On the weekends they offer a self serve tender meat by the pound. Beef, lamb and pork. They cook their chips to order which I really appreciate as I don't like salt on mine and they stay fresher longer. The tacos are only 2 bucks and they are nice portions and on Tuesdays they offer 10 tacos for 12.99! I'm all over this place and recommend. I was there yesterday and I'll be back tomorrow lol.“

“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Taqueria El Nacimiento, and I can confidently say it's one of the best Mexican restaurants I've ever experienced. The flavors were incredibly authentic, and each dish showcased the chef's skill and passion. The customer service was top-notch, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The cleanliness of the place added to the overall positive experience. If you head to Taqueria El Nacimiento you won't be disappointed!“
“This hidden diamond near 8 mile road is THE BEST mexican food you will have outside of Mexico. I'm a Texan and telling you this. I started coming to this place when my parents moved to Ann Arbor, MI. My godparents wanted to have family dinner and took us to Tijuana...this was in 2002. I now live in Columbus, Ohio and travel here once a quarter for this restaurant. The favors are so rich, fresh, and DEEP. The salsa is drinkable. You literally don't even need chips. Everything is made from scratch. Someone's grandma is in the back there making this ( Yes, the owners aunt and mom use to work in the kitchen supervising the meals. This is how often I was coming here! Extremely nice family). I have never had a bad meal! My personal favorites or the Mimi Chims and Chicken enchiladas! If You are in Detroit...stop by! You will leave with a smile and ready for a NAP“
“I've lived in Melvindale for 17+ years and only been in this store probably 2-3 times has a veggie burrito like yearsss ago but as my kids got older they ask me if we can go get a snack I've let them and just recently they went for lunch and I tried the veggie burrito again it was AMAZING ! so today we tried it and added shrimp and I grabbed a few other things like tres leches cake OMGGGG !!! They also have fresh breads , cookies ! This place is a hidden gem ! Must try ! Very nice owners very clean and very fast service !“
“As I drove up to Pollos Los Gallos I saw a column of smoking rising from the grills on the side of the building. I was a bit confused since this was my first time visiting and the building was completely bereft of any signage. But as the other reviews say, just follow your nose! I walked into to the grill area, where the cook, who was busy slathering chicken on the grill with a red sauce, directed me inside through the nondescript door on the front of the building. Ordering is really quick here. They take pre-packaged food out of a hot box, bag it up, and hand it to you. It was a little disappointing since I was expecting to get chicken fresh off the grill. Maybe during busier hours they continuously refill as customers file through? Unfortunately, I figured the earlier I went the fresher the chicken would be, but I guess I was wrong. The place was completely empty after all and I didn't see any other customer the entire time I was there. Whole Chicken Meal ($17) - Pollos Los Gallos isn't really a place you eat in so I got the bag to bring home with the delicious smell of smoked chicken and fresh corn tortillas filling the car as I drove. My first impression as I opened the box and looked at the chicken - woah, super nice char and coloring on each piece. The chicken was chopped up into smaller pieces, making things easier to eat but also increasing the number of small bones to pick through. As expected, that smoky char flavor mixed with the spice glaze on the exterior was phenomenal, but the interior even on the dark meat was dry. Again, I'm wondering if this was because it had been sitting in the hot box for a while. The meal comes with a choice of beans or rice. I got both for $1 extra. The beans were tender pinto charro beans with nice flavor and appropriately seasoned. The Mexican rice was as good as anywhere else in the area, light and fluffy and was only an extra dollar. Also included are some pickled jalapenos and red onions in a small cup. These added a good acidity from vinegar and lime juice and some spiciness from the jalapenos. Two small containers of decently spicy salsa are served on the side. I recommend moistening the chicken up by dousing it in the salsa. Finally, ten fresh hand made corn tortillas complete the meal. Put a bit of everything inside to make a delicious taco! Pollos Los Gallos is cash only, but the food is outstanding value for only $17. I'll have to revisit during the dinner rush and see if I can get fresher chicken next time.“
“I have only eaten from the trailer, but it’s better BBQ ribs than some of the so called BBQ places. The staff is friendly always and very efficient with the buzzer for when your order is ready. The price is in line with most for the quality you receive. When I’m lazy and want it right now it’s my go to spot! They have cured my fears of non traditional indoor dining from an outdoor spot. Keep up the good job!Parking: Look for the red building and the aroma of grilled food.“
“My boyfriend and I truly enjoyed our time here. We ordered a Chicken Quesadilla (app), Chicken and Beef Botana, and a Wet Burrito Supreme, and let me tell you that they did NOT disappoint! ? Everything was packed with flavor! ?They have great serving sizes as well, and last but least, their prices are AFFORDABLE. ? We definitely recommend this spot! ☺️“
“Downriver is so fortunate to have an authentic Mexican bakery. I got a flan and a few Mexican pastries. I really enjoy their pastries. They have great pastries, great service, and the bakery is conveniently located on Fort Street. Definitely worth a visit.“
“Dined in with our family of 5, which includes 3 kids who are 11,9, and 7. Dinner was great. Food not only looked amazing but tasted the same. Service was as good as it gets. Really a great place to eat. The kids absolutely loved every bit of it. We will definitely be back.“
“Decided to order from here on a whim. We live nearby but haven't tried. We weren't disappointed. All 5 members of my family were happy with the food. We got an assortment of tacos. We'll definitely be getting this again in the future!“
“What a great experience, first time visiting the Salpicon Detroit, to begin with, Pablo was super friendly, attentive and good-natured. They welcome you with a great aperitif. The atmosphere, super. I ordered a country toast. A delight... then I went for a shrimp and octopus cocktail, uff, everything was super delicious. Great experience, I will definitely visit them again with my friends.“
“Pretty good experience with this place. Much like Los Arcos, a few blocks over, it is a grocery store but has an area where you can order food and sit down to eat.I came in here for Taco Tuesday and for $1.50 per taco, you really cannot beat the price.I ordered the carne, pollo, and chorizo tacos. I found the carne and the polo to lack flavor. The chorizo, however, was definitely above average and was something that would make me return to this place. If you sit down and eat, they offer chips and salsa. The salsa is definitely some of the higher quality that I've had. It was fresh and pretty flavorful. They also served 2 verde sauces and one red sauce, both of which were in a bottle. One of the verde sauces was creamy, which was my favorite sauce of the three provided. As far as the grocery store, one thing that stood out was the large variety of drinks. There are many Mexican favorites and they also sell Mexican beer. The staff is very friendly. They also know English quite well, which isn't always the case when I go to Mexican places like this.Overall, this place is worth checking out. The service is efficient and friendly. I recommend going on Taco Tuesday when tacos are $1.50 each. The chorizo tacos are the best, in my opinion.“
“The food was absolutely delicious! Service was ok, the restaurant was very clean. There are two parking lots to choose from. They do have a few vegetarian options but not a lot. I would definitely recommendVegetarian options: Only about two vegetarian options“
“This Mexican taqueria is a hidden gem in downtown Detroit. Don't judge the size of this place, because the food is excellent, affordable and folks that work there are awesome. A taco lover's hotspot! They also have great burritos, enchiladas and quesadillas. It's ideal for take-out, but they have small dine in area, too. I'm always greeted warmly and the staff there aim to please their customers. Highly recommended!“
“Fabian & his crew are top notch. And the food is fabulous! This place is tucked into a quaint neighborhood inside of Wyandotte. Nothing against Detroit's MexicanTown, but knowing this bakery & restaurant is 10 minutes from my home makes it all the better.Delicioso!“
“I love the food here. If I can I make my way to here everyday. This is my secret burrito location. Don't tell nobody! Every morning these beautiful ladies open up for an early bird such as myself at 5am. You can't go wrong with the Deshebrada Burrito with everything on it. enjoy“
“I love Tacos El Rodeo! The best tacos and burritos you’ll find anywhere near Detroit! The jalapeño sauce goes extra hard too! I don’t know how but when I head to Tacos El Rodeo, I get more excited than I was when OG Fortnite dropped! This is a W taco truck for sure!“
“We ordered the Birria with marinated beef and we took it home and watch the Super Bowl and we were rewarmed, and it was excellent the meat was tender and flavorful. It was the right amount of cheese, and we will definitely be going back for another one.“
“Order the steak burrito lady inside really nice I tried the Serrano sauce it was amazing she said she took it off the menu because people in the area don't like spicy I would definitely come back and get this burrito again and try something “
“So it's an unusual place (grocery store/bar/restaurant) but sweet as F! We stopped in before visiting El Club and the bar was closed ? They opened it just for us to have a beer and a shot before our show ?? Thanks guys! I will be visiting again for tacos before the next El Club show!“
“Was in the area yesterday with a coworker and stopped in for my fruit salad and apples with tamarind (both spicy and sweet). Also order a small elote and a mango/pineapple Fresca. My cravings were satisfied!Line got busy after we arrived there and customer service was overall good.“
“John and I visited these guys today for the first time for lunch. We ordered several different tacos and the duck fat fries. Food was fantastic, our server Carl was very friendly and checked in on us regularly. Will definitely be going back!!!!“
“Good taco truck food served up fast and fresh by friendly people. There's a lot of selections on the menu board and prices are pretty reasonable. The food here is actually better than a lot of Mexican sit down restaurants. Definitely worth a try if you're in the neighborhood.“
