“Try the sonorans. Sounds weird but they’re so good. I get mine with their trio salsa sampler and a jalapeño marg—ask for tajin on the rim.One negative—at the bar they have a photo of the Virgin Mary that opens up to Johnny Cash (if I remember correctly, might be someone else) flipping the bird. Just kind of crass for kids, especially if you’re Catholic.Parking: Park in lot behind the restaurant“
“Menu has some interesting choices. Food is good. This place serves food until midnight which is a real bonus as most restaurants stop serving at 8pm. This is a good place for large parties. I like the interior but I gave it a lower rating because it's do noisy it's hard to have a conversation but don't let that stop you. It's a great place and you should check it out.Parking: It's somewhat of a challenge to find parking in their lot but there is additional parking on the street (Woodward) and there is a nearby structure.“
“Small, warm, cozy... this is my favorite local place for comedy and storytelling. I've seen my friends perform there, and this month I'll be performing there myself! The drinks are great. The staff are wonderful. Safe space for all folks. ?Love it here!“
“The huge selection of games they have here cannot be beat. The food and drink combined with reserving a table can make the experience slightly pricey, but if you factor in the gaming options, it makes the price feel far more worth it!I love their fries, their specialty drinks, and most of the food I've tried, but there's just one food item I wouldn't recommend. I've ordered their 4 square personal pizza a number of times, and almost every time, it has come out burnt enough that it no longer tastes very good to me. I kept trying to give it another chance, but I think I'll be stick to the other great food they have to offer in the future!“
“i visited for the first time with a friend last night and had the best time! i have always been a fan of their meads and decided to order a flight. my favorite of the night was “kill all the golfers,” SO GOOD. we were lucky enough to meet the owners during our visit and they were absolutely lovely! i was beyond impressed with their hospitality and knowledge of their craft. it was an experience i’ll never forget and i can’t wait to return!“
“If you know, you know. I’m so glad places like Tony’s are still around. If you need wagyu or a 7 ingredient cocktail for thrills, try the rest of Ferndale. This place makes me feel welcome. The beer is cold, the Lions might win, you can have a conversation. The best.“
“New Way is a wonderful bar ! Great vibes, positive energy, and you’ll feel right at home. Langston, the bartender, brings all kinds of games and keeps you entertained with his personality and magic tricks. If you haven’t stopped by to see him for a drink during the daytime, you’re missing out ! Jamie and Matt are really nice as well and they both stay working hard to keep the place looking great. Wonderful business and I will definitely be back. Thank you, New Way ! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“Nice atmosphere and good food. They add a mandatory 20% gratuity on every bill over $100, which in this case was okay because our waitress was great. However, this isn't a business practice I fully agree with. What if the service was bad?“
“Went for Sunday brunch and a friend's birthday. The slooshies (Cranberry Peach Margarita) are great! My pulled pork mac n cheese was good too. It was a little bit of a wait for the food but it did not disappoint. It was my first time but I'll definitely be back.“
“I live in the neighborhood, like the bar however this outdoor bar could reinvent itself as a beachside surf bar, serve tropical cocktails and beer, paint everything baby blue with surf boards and coconuts and actually use the rooftop. But the WAB chooses to be a boring monopoly instead.“
“Soho is the place to be if you want quick and great service in a friendly, clean environment. Every single staff member from the bartenders to the bussers to the owners work really hard to make sure everyone is accommodated, and that the entire place, yes even the bathrooms, are clean, no matter how busy it is. They even go above and beyond by making sure everyone feels safe and comfortable. If there’s ever any issues, they take care of it right away. As long as you, and whoever you’re with know how to behave in public, they treat everyone equally. The portion of the drinks with the prices are really great as well. Literally, the only “flaw” to Soho is that they are always so busy and packed because of how great the bar is. Every other bar on 9mile and even all of Ferndale is never as busy as Soho. It’s always great energy and good times!“
“This place is exactly what we were looking for, chill dive, cheap drinks, good food and good people. We both got a burger and it was everything you'd want in a dive bar burger. Staff was very friendly. The type of place you wanna come back to!“
“What a beautiful, vibey restaurant in Ferndale. Love it! We went at prime time on a Saturday and were seated pretty much right away for our 7:30 reservation. The ambiance is lively and fun without being too loud, the service was great even though they were short-staffed, and the food and cocktails were top-notch.Our handsome waiter took the time to answer all of our questions and make suggestions, and even though he gave us a heads up that they were short that night, I don't think we would have even noticed. I really loved the 'mist over kanto' cocktail - made with mezcal and citrus - it's so pretty and tasty without being too smoky or too sweet - perfectly balanced. The 3 of us split 2 sushi rolls and each had an entree. The sushi was so good and fresh - I highly recommend both rolls - the Tigerlily and the Kani roll. The Tigerlily is made with beautiful salmon and the Kani with the most delicious fresh snow crab - I want to go back just for that one. It's so sweet and delicious. My 2 friends went with the waiter's suggestion of the Katsucurry - it looked and smelled divine. I definitely want to try that one next time. I ordered the Suzuki, which is Japanese sea bass in a miso buerre blanc - it was surprisingly sweet, but tasted really good with the fish, which was cooked perfectly with crispy skin. Tender, moist and flavorful. It is served with a pretty salad, but that part needed seasoning - I added soy sauce, and it was pretty good. I didn't love the amount of strong onions on it though - I'd suggest that they soak those first - they were fairly overpowering, and I just pushed them to the side. Still a good dish.I am already looking forward to returning.Parking: The lot across the street is the best lot.“
