“Took wife for a late Birthday celebration. Front of house host were "meh". Not very welcoming to us or others that I observed as well. Our server was decent. Other servers were vibrant and engaged with their tables. Being that my wife handed her a printout for her birthday, she didn't receive it nor anything else that may have pertained to the simple fact that this dinner was her celebration.Will we return? Possibly. If so, no time too soon.”

“Shut up and take my money! Cleanest, crispest, freshest oyster selection that I have ever had the pleasure to lay my eyes on. A wonderfully knowledgeable bar staff, a kitchen that takes pride in their product, I really couldn't have asked for a more enjoyable experience. They're happy hour offers a selection of oysters professionally shocked by someone who cares about what you're eating. And at a price point that is extremely competitive to other oyest bat happy hour restaurants in the area you can't find a better quality morsel of sweet sweet goodness. I won't name names, but there are a few bars that have lost a loyal HH customer today. and that's really all I have to say about that.”

“Urbanrest is the type of brewery/bar that makes you look around and think, "It might be the pint talking, but suddenly the idea of getting old one day might not be so scary as long as there are community spaces like this within walking distance."A cool atmosphere, good beer, people of all ages and backgrounds, families, dogs at the tables outside when it's nice out, all enjoying themselves and taking a load off in a casual, familiar feel.Bonus points for the pride flags, and extra mega super bonus points for when they host the Belly It! food truck.An awesome event setting for renting out the back room, too!”

“Super impressed with The Oakland always. Their staff is always super knowledgeable and ready to tell you about their cocktails or make a recommendation. Recently went during their Happy Hour (every day but Saturday, open-6:31, I believe!), and had such a delightful time at the bar. The drinks were as strong and smooth as ever and super unique without being pretentious. So glad Ferndale has an adorable speakeasy like this!”

“They had the best garlic bread and pesto spread I’ve ever had at a restaurant. The fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp was phenomenal. The chicken Parmesan was not my favorite, but that’s because the sauce was a little on the sour side (I prefer sweet sauce). I ordered a hot mocha latte for dessert and it’s something I’ll crave for a long time!! The tiramisu was very good - not too sweet and just right. Loved the service and the atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back!!Parking: There are paid parking lots and garages around Ferndale. You can also download the Park Ferndale app and you’ll be able to park on the street.”

“I hosted a baby shower here and my expectations were completely blown out of the water. All of my guests raved about the food (even the kids under 10 loved it!). We did the afternoon tea service and it was perfect.Service was so kind and really read the room and knew when we needed things and when to leave us to our celebration.I cannot recommend this place enough, especially for an event!”

“We went to Public house on a Saturday for dinner. We were a group of 12 people for celebrating my birthday (it was a surprise by my husband). Our experience was great. The service was phenomenal and the food and drinks were really good. All our guests loved the place. Also, specially we had a couple of vegan friends that they really enjoyed the vegan menu. Our server, Sophia was very attentive and professional.”

“If you haven't tried Ethiopian food yet, now is your chance to try it! This place offers all you can eat vegetarian for one simple price, you can also add meat dishes a la carte.Start your meal off with a hot Ethiopian tea, you won't regret it. It tastes sweetened, but it is all natural.Before you start your meal, you get a hot towel to cleanse your hands. Everything is eaten with your hands, no utensils. Tear off a piece of bread (injera), scoop up a portion of lentils, ground peas, or cabbage and indulge in a taste of Ethiopia. We also like the salad (Timatim), this is also extra but nice to try it once if you haven't, it has a sour dressing type of taste that I like to cleanse my palate with between bites. I would compare it to having a slice of ginger between different pieces of sushi.Our favorite meats are either the beef or lamb, both of which are very tender and flavorful.End your meal by cleansing your hands with another nice hot towel and go home with your tummy full and happy! Don't be scared to eat with your hands, you won't be embarrassed, everyone else will be eating it too and will be having just as much fun as you are haha.”

“We used Regina’s food truck for our wedding and it was perfect! The booking process was easy and fast. They were very easy to communicate with. The food was delicious and had plenty of options for everyone including gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan. Highly recommend for your next event!”

The food and drink combined with reserving a table can make the experience slightly pricey, but if you factor in the gaming options, it makes the price feel far more worth it!I love their fries, their specialty drinks, and most of the food I've tried, but there's just one food item I wouldn't recommend. I've ordered their 4 square personal pizza a number of times, and almost every time, it has come out burnt enough that it no longer tastes very good to me. I kept trying to give it another chance, but I think I'll be stick to the other great food they have to offer in the future!”

“We hired Ruckus Tacos to cater our daughter’s graduation party. The food was amazing!! We ordered the chicken, short rib and cauliflower tacos. They were all so delicious!! All of our guests loved the tacos as well. Jeremy was a pleasure to work with in planning the event. We would definitely hire them again and recommend them to others!!”

“Sakana is always so nice and quiet when I go. Never too many people inside so you can chill out while you're there. There's booths, soft lounge chairs in back, and a bar near the front. The house sake is nice and warm, good service, dim lights but the big window lets natural light in for everyone.”

“I've been going here since 2017, and I could honestly say that the sushi is consistently of the highest quality. I've become well-acquainted with the staff members over the years, and they're undeniably hardworking yet can be personable during the slower hours. I'm a POC, and have dealt with issues of racism from other fine dining restaurants in the area-- but their service has always made me feel extremely welcome. The menu items are on the higher end, but the service, food, and cleanliness of the restaurant make every experience worth it. This is the perfect place to go on first dates, birthdays, anniversaries, and family events. I cannot stress enough that you MUST try this place!!”
