“Pastaio is a wonderful addition to the Grosse Pointe dining scene. The space feels warm, inviting, and thoughtfully designed—perfect for a relaxed night out that still feels a little special. The food was delicious, with so many great options that make it hard to choose just one favorite. Everything we ordered was beautifully prepared and full of flavor.

I also loved seeing a well-thought-out mocktail menu. It’s such a nice touch and something that feels very current and inclusive—whether you’re not drinking that night or just want something fun and intentional beyond water or soda.

One of my favorite features of the space is the semi-private area in the back. It’s ideal for hosting—intimate enough to feel special, but still connected to the energy of the restaurant. You can tell this is a place designed with gathering in mind, which I always appreciate.”

“Ummmm the smash burgers and dill garlic fries are to DIE for! Photos don’t do them justice. We’re not known to travel more than just around the corner for a quick bite unless we plan on it, but this is worth the last minute 25-30 min drive from where we live. Delicious food. Great staff!”

The customer service was a 10 out of 10, the guy behind the counter, made our sandwiches in a timely manner, we made short, but entertaining conversation and the place had a great, clean vibe. I definitely will be returning very soon!”
