“Cute little 1940's working diner. It serves mostly sandwiches, hot dogs, chili or a soup, and frozen custard. Sandwiches come with a side like coleslaw, potato salad, or chips. Impeccably clean and the food is limited but good. Perfect for a quick bite to eat while spending the day exploring Gilmore.”

“Steve's Pizza is THE best pizza in Battle Creek/Pennfield area. The Hawaiian pizza is so amazing, the seasonings they use on the breadstick pizza is by far the best, and all the cheese on each pizza is so delicious. “We just happened to stop by the Chicken House because we were hungry and in the area. We are from Albion. And before I say anything else, I have to say that we will be back for sure!!The chicken sandwiches are AMAZING!!! I got the mother clucker and my husband got the Nashville hot. Soooooo good!!!The owners are really cool too!!Don’t drive by without trying their food! If it wasn’t winter, we would have tried the ice cream and sundae selection. Not only their customer service is the best I think I’ve ever experienced. Their food was incredible. It had fried cheese inside of the quesadilla.
