“Felt like gatekeeping this great place! But we want them to flourish so... you HAVE to come and experience this fantastic joint! It was Restaurant Week here in Kalamazoo, and their menu looked good, so we decided why not? It's had a couple of other restaurants that somehow didn't make it in this location, but we were hopeful. I ordered a strawberririta, which is dangerously good. For the appetizer, we ordered RW's suggestion of the goat cheese flatbread. Very good! I ordered their salmon on the regular menu. That was SO NICE! Cooked perfectly and the potatoes were out of this world yummy! Husband had his heart set on a steak but their flame-stove was on the fritz so he got their Ruben sandwich. He loved it! The only thing he would've changed would've been some other side besides their fries. They were good, just too many fries. (Is there such a thing? Ha-ha!) To make our evening even MORE fun, they had Music Bingo going on! We played all four rounds but didn't win anything. That's ok, it was still a lot of fun! (They play this every Tuesday night with prizes!) Rounded off the night with their only dessert which was a chocolate torte with ice cream and strawberries. Our server was excellent and the MC for the Bingo was really fun. What a fun time we had and wonderful food! Great job, everyone!“
“Fun times always at Duck. For me, Karaoke nights are the most fun. Sing, Dance, play pool and darts from 8 pm to 2 am. The staff and owner are very friendly. The food has been great as well. Y'all come on out to sing and dance at the Duck. It's the best late night atmosphere in Kalamazoo.“
“Been the best neighborhood bar in my world for maybe 20 years, and I don't even live in Kalamazoo anymore. Bar itself is a work of art; dark wood, huge and real. This is not some tricked up franchise, designed to make you feel like you're really into something authentic. Only place in Michigan I've found that can properly pour a pint of Guinness. Food is excellent, and the menu not your standard bar fare. Jamie, the proprietor is on the premises, friendly and keeps things running smoothly. Just go!“

“Very cool building- nice that they have pool tables and a bar downstairs and the restaurant upstairs. The famous bowl is excellent. I’m not a beer drinker, but my husband enjoyed the stock market game with the beer pricing and the wide variety of beers offered. He liked trying new ones when the price went down. The beer battered fried pickles are a must!“

“I've lived in Kalamazoo my whole life and had never been here. Not much of a bar person really, but my work has our Christmas party there. The food was amazing!!! I have not had onion rings that good in a while and the burger was just as good. Our server was amazing they should give her a raise. She was waiting on us as well as the regulars. “My husband and I stopped in to share a burger tonight. I had been here before, he had not. Neither of us had the burger before. It was amazing. Perfectly seasoned! The fries were delicious, not salty, also perfectly seasoned. Rachel was an awesome server, very attentive, without hovering, she had great recommendations, and she was incredibly friendly! “We went there for the K Wings watch party, and the staff was very helpful. we’re supposed to have reserve table, but it was taken but they helped us find another one and we’re very apologetic. The food was delicious. I really enjoyed the Smashburger highly recommend.Parking: Plenty of parking“
“Best short ribs I’ve ever had in my life. I’ve never had a more tender piece of meat. We had the feature appetizer, kale Cesar salad, and my husband got the fish and chips and everything was incredible! Such a fun and different atmosphere with the grocery store underneath. You would never expect it to be such a classy and beautiful restaurant above but the atmosphere, food and drinks were all absolutely wonderful! We will definitely be back.“
“The bluegills were steaks and they had superb flavor. The onions rings are huge and they need upgrade to the sauce bowl, lol. The homemade coleslaw was peppered to season. The decor was featured with life size with wildlife animals. The bar was in the round and enjoyed the Tigers win. We will be back for those gills. Gotta bring your own Pepsi, though. The servers were prompt.“
